Is NIN compulsory for change of name due to marriage?the person has a passport before now
Yes if you're processing from Abuja or Lagos (enhanced e-passport) cos the nin will appear in you pp booklet. Other states don't give enhanced

PART 2
Back to NIS, I asked the desk officer for servicom office, she said just ask them upstairs(no definite direction). I went up asked someone and I found myself in Servicom office. Na here part two start. I told hm that I was directed to them by Abuja to renew my passport and name change too cos ive processed and paid online. He said ok that means id pay for name change in the office. I said said Abuja said I don’t need to pay for any other thing and if I encountered any problem I should call them BACK. At this point my status changed. He collected my file back from the lady and wrote SERVICOM at the head and bottom. I now entered blacklist . the first office had to comply because Servicom lady told them I’m from Abuja. Next office said I have to register with 5k for change of name, I told her Abuja said to pay any body cbla blab la......\. She said well you’d wait in the canopy for the PCO. My people, I waited PCO came back from wherever few minutes later . They told him I said I was going to call Abuja bla bla bla so the man was already red (he’s dark skinned tho) before we met. He now said I should call the Abuja people yada yada yada. Well at this point Wisdom came in handy after the venting he sha opened my file (did whatever with it gave, it to his officer they went out came in and then took me to the capturing room. After 2 persons I was captured and I left filling fulfilled without having to pay a dime .
PS. I DID RENEWAL/CHANGE OF NAME.
Docs I submitted.
1. Change of name docs(newspaper publication, marriage cert, affidavit)
2. Application for change of name typed and signed
3. Consent letter from hubby
4. Payment slip from the portal
5. Application form from the portal
6. Copy of expired passport
7. Copy of hubby’s DL
8. LGA of origin cert
Challenges
• States issue only the standard epassport(you get enhanced only in Abj and Lag for now)’
• Scarcity passport booklets Abuja guys confirmed this also.
Lesson learnt--when you blow hot sometimes also calm down but still stand your ground.

Thanks everyone for the guidance i got here. I successfully got captured today.
MY ORDEAL TODAY AT THE IMMIGRATIONS OFFICE
After reporting for duty at work, I took off and travelled to the immigration office. As I was alighting from the bike ride I took from the junction. One good Samaritan did like he wanted to use same bike and also paid for me. He asked what I came for I told him too.(he wore mufti so I didn’t suspect) , we went to a biz centre just close to the immig gate. He got a file arranged it for me and then he now asked who was processing for me and wanted to take me to someone. I told him I had a link already and mentioned the name he said ok, then freed me after parting with #200. I went to the said link who was supposed to a senior officer name (bad move). They looked at my file, then someone went out with it and then he came back and said pay 6k to process the file then later on I’d pay 15k for publishing the pp. Holy Mo! I asked ”so I should have like 21k?” they said yes. I asked them to give me back my file. The man was shocked, this time I was trying to suppress the tears that were already welling up my eyes( I can just be a cry baby kikikikikikiki...). I now called the Abuja line and told them my experience amidst tears in fact the man had to hand the line over to a lady. They asked me to go to Servicom and if I encountered any hitch I should call back. Ghen ghen. This time I was now matching like PMB’s foster child. I enter okada from the park back to NIS.

Jossy4u1:

If you're applying in Ikoyi or Abuja passport office, the official price is 25k + 1k transaction fee using a Visa card or N500 if it's payment through the bank due to the fact that they issue the new Enhanced Passport. Other passport offices are still using the old passport in the sum of 17k.
It is advisable to get the new enhanced passport.
Thank you very much . I just confirmed that the enhanced is only issued in Lag and Abj. Probably it selected standard because of the state of interview I clicked and I didn't supply nin. I've already clicked 'print form', although I've not paid yet and I didn't see an option to edit data. I don't want to have duplicate entries either and end up paying extra.

Hi my DIYers, I tried following the guide her to DIY but I discovered my charge is different from the one I'm seeing here.
The charges came up to 17k(I've not clicked to pay yet) for 32pages.That's my first worry.
2ndly, I'm actually applying to renew and also do change of name. I tried calling the contact number and they said all change of name and change of data is done in Abuja. But I also heard that change of name due to marriage can be done anywhere.
Has anybody gone the DIY for change of name, kindly assist.
My main challenge is the bolded.
Thank you

Good morning to you all amazing super mamas.

I felt some hardness when I press my abdomen( the region beneath the navel). The hardness is much when I lay on my back but other region of the belly is soft and can easily push inside. Please is it normal? 14 weeks gone. My first time being in the ministry.

This may help. It's pretty normal if the hardness is around the area depending on how far gone you are

Hello mamas. ,.
This is my first time commenting here and I must say we have strong women here. Thanks all for helping me stay strong in my low times.

Back to you ma, sometime early this year too I was diagnosed with bilateral tubal blockage with adhesions. Prior to that, my period reduced to just 2-3days and the quantity of blood no dey full pad sef even at CD2 unlike before. But then I was ovulating and just wasn't taking in. Since your period fluctuates between 29-31 some gyns won't term it as irregular. People still ovulate with scanty periods.
On the question :you can google "duphaston Vs primolut n " to weigh the options. Some doctors also use OCPs to correct periods. Personally I'd go with my Dr's prescription.

Sorry for your losses, I've had some too with failed TVCs so I understand what you're going through a little. Relax... Yes I said that.... And take things little by little and in no time we'd all have our miracles.

Getting pregnant six months after a ciserian section delivery, how safe is it? Note(d baby was a still birth)
Sorry for your loss mama. I understand a little the desire to get preggers again.
I think you should speak with your Dr. Usually it is advised to wait for 2yrs even if you don't want to have a VBAC. It's very risky to try just after six months looking at the health care system we have. If you can pls wait till 12months @least to cut down the risk(I won't do this though, risking my life) . Time flies . Before you know it 12mns would be over. All the best sis

HELP!!!!
A first time mom. last period was 27/5/2018. I registered in a private hospital. two weeks ago hubby and I decided to register in FMC. part of the routine check up was a pelvic scan. did it yesterday and a case of severe oligohydramnios (insufficient ammonic fluid) was seen. saw d test result today. fetus is still alive with strong heart beat. although I av a large fibroid. the senior Doc said. after couple of test the fetus might b dead. so case of evacuation at 17 weeks. rushed back to my private hospital, the gyn checked said the fetus activities are minimal. but very alive. liquor low, not growing as expected. am to b placed on bed rest cos the foetus is not getting snow nutrition. until the fluid is back to normal. am scared for my baby. don't want a deformed baby. need prayers and advice Pls.

Your in our prayers Sis. May be increase your fluid intake. They may put you on IV fluid, I don't know how that works. Judiciously follow Drs advice. I know someone whose baby wasn't measuring up to but still had her girl. So just keep hope alive and pray for the best.

Good evening

I think you should check with the hospital and insist they give you a report as it's a requirement to get your sick leave . You need to guard this preggy jealously esp now dh is sounding like this. At this GA you don't need so much strain on the cerclage.

Try as much as you can though, to keep your job cos economy is not smiling.
And dont forget to routinely check your cervical length . Just keep your faith up.

Thanks Sis for understanding me. I love you already. We'd all hold our rainbows come 2019. Amen.

its just as if am talking with my sister it was like this exactly, doctors can be so impatient sometimes and she was scared too. Mom works in the same hospital and asked her not to go for any evacuation but wait, when is came back to the hospital you need to see how the doctor was angry that he told her to do something and she didn't that she wants to kill herself and she shouldn't blame the hospital. She adamantly asked for another scan before going ahead to do the evacuation and baby was there at 12 weeks doctor became pale lol, she changed hospital sharp sharp

By God's grace you will not experience something like this again and you would come back to share your bfp with us and carry to full term

Hmmm. You're not making this any easy for Ow.iizzy. At this point, we should help her heal and not make her feel she didnt give her baby a chance. When people let you into their grief it's a privilege and whatever you say should help them not the other way.
I'm sorry to come across this way but going through a loss is not easy, then adding this your story to it...aaah.. Mama..

IF YOU DON'T KNOW MY STORY YOU WON'T UNDERSTAND MY GLORY. I decided to overcome my fears and announce o jare. My story is plenty jare. I ran out after my last loss in March 2017 to get to the root of my problems and of course I did,I gave myself sometime too. TTC became an issue for me afterwards but God showed up when my faith finished pata pata and I was beginning to think ivf like dh.
The rest of the story when I shall share my BS.
Even though as a guest, in my low moments I drew strength from God and the ladies in the ttc thread. They were my greatest inspiration. God who answered me will grant you speedy answers and bfps, Amen.
Thanks to everyone who checked on me. I couldn't bring myself to responding because I was broken.

Note: This is MoskiDarl. I couldn't log in anymore so I had to create another. And of course I'm tired of peeping ☺

mummiesgirl:
please house kindly recommend any hospital in lagos nigeria that can carry out a transabdominal cerclage.thanks all
Hi Sis, did you get the info you need on the TAC.? We have some Drs who perform the TAC not just in Lagos. Most Drs don't recommend the TAC and may only do that at the request of the patient, prolly because of the expertise required or reasons best known to them. But if you still interested in the info you could pm me or write the questions right here. Most people do not openly want to talk about IC esp african women may be because its not yet well understood or they think'its from the village'and don't understand why it keeps happening.
