BreconHills: But where will the money come from?
Player sales? We've just reported an operating loss for the first time since the early 2000's. Without Europe we are losing tons of money, with the pandemic and no match day revenue things will get progressively worse. We've only just signed a kit deal with Nike so nothing there. Maybe the stadium renaming rights. Maybe there is something I am missing.
There are talks that Newcastle will be acquired by a Middle East consortium - thats another Mancity loading But on paper, Arsenal is richer than Juventus. |

BreconHills: Things actually changed way back when Abramovich bought Chelsea. My opinion is that Arsenal players are treated exceptionally well by the club but the players have instead become over contented, lacking hunger and drive. This has been going on for many years. They make too many unforced errors because of lack of concentration. Arteta must change that culture and that may mean getting rid of players who refuse to change. I dont mind if we finish 8th next season because other teams are better than us, what i dont want is for us to finish 8th because some players are lazy and lack drive and focus. Before Arteta can get rid of players, he has to be provided money for replacement. I can see willian at Arsenal next season, he's going to be a free agent and Luiz will convince him to join him. To compete again, I Arsenal have to spend, gone are the days that there were only 4 good teams and Arsenal can squeeze themselves into 4th no matter how poor they are. |

9jaDoomCountry: All of you blockhead running your diarrhea mouth about ARSENAL, is it not time you leave so we know our real number, the faithful supporters. Most of you came into football after Jose came to England with noise. Please leave us so that the real fans can breathe.
We are not ogogoro club so we don't make noise. We play football and not rugby, feel free to join any club you wish but we still love our club
Real fans don't change club because we are not players or managers, we are fans. The real fans follow their clubs even to lower division. Preston Northend still have fans. All football fans make noise, it's part of the game. Just that the kind of noise from Arsenal supporters can are mostly wailings, Lamentations, and tears. You are also right about real fans not changing clubs. But i think fans should start getting used to what their clubs have become. Like the Preston North End you mentioned, I'm sure their fans won't expect them to win Champions league or the premier league. Same with Aston Villa that were once Euro champ but are about to relegate again. |

I remain an Arsenal fan though I'm done with them for the season and I believe they can still get back to the top if their board can get serious It's easy for you to mention clubs and compare them to Arsenal. The question you should be asking yourself is can Arsenal do what they did? The undoing of Arteta will come in form of trying to play pep's style with below average players. |

BreconHills: Well said. Arsenal don't have the money to build over 1-2 seasons. We will have to follow the Liverpool route; astute signings and player development. I give it 5 years but we will win some cups and qualify for Europe along the way. The problem is things have changed, other teams have stepped up. Gone are the days when Arsenal would still manage to finish in 4th position with Mediocre players |

Yemike: Cry me a river Barcelona won la Liga with transfer ban on their neck. Leicester won the league with 30m player?.
You guys were 3rd on the log last season and even won UEL and only a player is missing from the squad yet you rant about shouting as if your first team players were banned from playing.
Ziyech? Werner? When it's a man's race in buying a player it's a clue the player is just average.
Lampard inexperience? Guardiola and Zidane both won major trophy in their debut season as a first team manager.
2020/21 premier league season is just around the corner bro then I'll be expecting another excuse. What kind of rant is this. Did Barcelona win the league with the ban and losing Messi? And how many teams compete with Barca for the league? Chelsea is not desperate abeg, since I've been supporting Chelsea, i can count the number of seasons Chelsea have gone trophyless on one hand and still have some fingers left. Even the FA cup is still there to be won this season. So Werner and Ziyech are average to you even with their numbers It's very clear you are full of hatred, nothing more. Be more concerned about your club sir. |

caleboxylic: EPL produced average players.
Did you produce Suarez or Ronaldo? Which player did you produce in England?
Barca produced Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Puyol, Guardiola and amongst others.
Real Madrid produced Raul, Casillas, Ramos and among others.
Atletico Madrid produced Torres, Aguero and Diego Costa.
Valencia produced silva and David villa.
Tell us the product your EPL produced.
Your EPL has never produced any world best. You bought Ronaldo as a senior player and not youth. You just like talk. Where did the likes of Bale, Beckham, Gerrard, Ferdinand, Henry, Terry, Cech, Rooney, scholes, Alonso,Lampard, Harry kane, Luka Modric, Ryan Giggs, Michael Owen etc come from? La liga is rubbish, take it or leave it. It might just be better than serie a and ligue 1. I don't know when Madrid will be able to play in the cl semi final again, but it's surely not this season or next. You are talking about silva being done, what about Modric and Ramos ,both are already pushing 35. As for Barca, there's no case there, they already threw away 3 goals advanatage consecutively. That happens a lot when there's only one good player left in a club. Saying EPL has never produced world best clearly shows you don't know what you are doing. Even Michael Owen won it in 2001 at the age of 21. That was before the award became political. When Sneidjer won the treble and played in the world cup final. They said the award must be given to a La liga player. Same thing with Ribery. |

caleboxylic: This arsenal team won't defeat osasuna abeg.
The quality in EPL has dropped and will keep dropping. The only team you find world class players in EPL are Mancity. Liverpool don't have any exceptional players in the mould of silva or Aguero. They have a very good team.
Silva will drop after this season and your Mancity will be banned from Europe.
Is it Chelsea or manu or Tottenham or Everton or Wolves that will conquer Europe next season ? You will have only Liverpool left after this season to hope on. So you think Chelsea of this season will be same with next season? It's La liga that has depreciated. Because La liga obviously is just Barca and Madrid. When Barca/madrid weren't banned last season, why didn't they conquer Europe? EPL doesn't belong to one or two teams like la liga abeg. Imagine what Madrid has become just cos one player left. Wolves will deal with both Barca and Madrid like they dismantled Espanyol that's always giving Barca headache in the name of derby. No matter how poor barca or Madrid is, they will always be first or second cos there's no competition. |

Ibunkun1: Next season could be a good time for arsenal to do a form of rebound like Chelsea did in 2016/2017 With which players? Even Arteta is just realising that he's in trouble. I don't know what gave him the thought that he could do better than Emery. If you bring Arigo Sacchi to that team, he will fail. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Brighton Vs Arsenal - ( 2 - 1) On 20th June 2020 by Decimus(f): 7:38pm On Jun 20, 2020 |
caleboxylic: Then what stops your average teams from dominating Europa league? Sevilla and Atletico have won that league countless times. What happened to your Everton, Tottenham and mid table teams? What happened to your top teams when Madrid won champions league four consecutive times?
Look at champions and Europa leagues where the top leagues in Europe compete, who dominates? What happens to world best players coming from your league? What happened to champions league and Europa league top scorers?
All the teams in England are average except Liverpool and Mancity. Lol, are sevilla and Atletico Madrid mid table team? Or is La liga made up of five teams? Liverpool and Man city are the ones dominating now, but in the next two seasons that might change. There was a time it was Man u and Chelsea. That's the beauty of the league. It's not like Laliga that two teams will dominate for centuries. Madrid and Barca were just lucky to have two generational talents in their prime, nothing more. And as you might have noticed, that has changed. Ronaldo is gone, and Messi is old and can't single handedly drag Barca on anymore. Go and watch again how Ajax school boys bundled out Madrid home and away last season or how Origi ran the show when Barca capitulated last season. La liga is sh*t, the refs are even scared to book Messi cos he's the owner of the league. I'm sure La liga can even give Barca money to tie Messi down to another contract, because if he goes, the league is done for. Barca is already broke after wasting money on Dembele, coutinho and Griezman. Just watch how City will finish the Job on Madrid at the Etihad once cl resumes. Epl is the most interesting and the best, teams like Brighton can beat Arsenal home and away if they work for it. But I'm sure that can't happen in La liga, even the refs won't allow it. |
