chatinent: Who killed Dele Giwa? Who killed Funsho Williams?
The 1993 election was supposed to be our moment of true national unity. Look at those numbers. Abiola did not just win; he built a coalition that bridged the divide between the North Central and the South West. For a brief, intoxicating moment, it felt as though we had finally outgrown the regionalism that keeps us fragmented. But in this country, such optimism is often a dangerous provocation to the powers that prefer the status quo.
Meanwhile, how is Babangida doing today?
The once Almighty ruler who thought the world revolves around his pencil. The Minna archangel!
It makes me remember some great men alike who were silenced rather than good governance see the light.
The shadows that hang over our political history are long and dark. The brutal silencing of Dele Giwa in 1986 and the cold, calculated murder of Funsho Williams in 2006 were not merely isolated crimes. They were messages—sharp, violent reminders of what happens when individuals become too prominent or too capable of shifting the national narrative. We dance around these ghosts, but the truth remains locked behind doors that no one in power wants to open.
It makes me wonder if Abacha really stole that much announced. Maybe underrepresented or overrepresented. Or are other corrupt people hiding their own crimes under the umbrella of the late man who cannot defend himself anymore?
Just the same way more are waiting for others to be late then they blame them for everything!
By the way...
Who killed Dele Giwa? Who killed Funsho Williams?
Babangida is still alive and has seen some of his great-grandchildren.

MarketDispatch: How can you give someone spare key to you apartment and still be telling the person to call if you are home? What is the purpose of spare key? Why will I have spare key and be calling?
To know if it is convenient for the owner of the house to receive you

Disaster in Anambra as Car Sinks Into Mud While Crossing Ogidi Flood
A dramatic scene unfolded in Ogidi community, Anambra State, after a vehicle attempting to navigate the community’s notorious flood-ravaged road became hopelessly trapped in thick mud, highlighting the worsening environmental disaster that has left residents and motorists stranded in fear and frustration.
Oga blogger, I hope you know there's a difference between "stuck" and "sink".
ponishah: Our problem is that our professors are lazy, they don't do any research. Most of what we eat , drink and use are used because we met them so. We have rarely done serious empirical test on them. We need to research a lot, because some of our local stuff are very helpful, some could be toxic if applications are not really own. BUT, IF I BE PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA, I GO BAN AKPU, FUFU OR SANTANA, THE SMELL IS EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE. FROM THE FERMENTING TO THE SIEVING TO THE SELLING AND CONSUMPTION , NA VERY UNBEARABLE ODOUR. JUST ENTER FINE DUPLEX WITH STATE OF THE ART FURNISHING, ONCE THEM DEY EAT AM OR JUST FISHED EATING IT, OMO YOU GO HATE THE MANSION AND PREFER TO ENTER MUD HOUSE.
That's why someone like you will never be president.
MatrixReloaded: I even brought a foreign avocado pear back home last summer for my wife to plant in my own compound.
Sorry. It won't grow! Foreign avocado only grows in places with temperate weather and not in the tropics like Nigeria except some places in Plateau and Mambila in Taraba states
There are rumours that they usually pay herdsmen to attack each other. Apart from that, they kidnap themselves.
For those from the interior parts of Benue, if them born you well, snap a nice picture and post on Facebook. Within a month, those who know you will kidnap one of your family members in the village and be asking for ransom of 300k and tubers of yam
Benue people know how to turn guns on themselves but are impotent against herdsmen.
lovediehatelive: Few weeks ago I met a girl and kept contact with her.
Everything was going on smoothly until I asked her to come to my place.
I already prepared my mind for 'NO', and that's what I actually got. I felt it's the usual not wanting to appear cheap so I tried again, she said she was busy.
It was on a Saturday. I lock up and continued with my life. The next day (Sunday) Mancity and Arsenal had match and I wasn't missing it for anything.
If she had accepted to come over, I would have planned my schedules so as to watch the game after that be with her or so.
But since she wasn't positive after second trial I assumed she won't be coming again.
Lo and behold just before the end of 1st half, (after Dounaruma mistake that Harvertz scored) her call came in, and she wanted to come!
Told her I was watching match I'll call her when I'm done.
That was it.
After the game I called but she didn't pick up. Messaged her on WhatsApp but she's not replying.
Since then she's been giving me attitude.
She's supposed to let me know on time, at least a day before, so that I plan my day, not towards evening by 5PM of the same day.
It's not as if I rejected her, I just can't leave my match for her even though I later called.
Has anyone ever experienced such?
She was probably itchy down there and needed a guy to scratch it (you know what I mean) but her guy was watching the same match and unavailable so she decided to resort calling you up and you were unavailable. She must have moved on to the next person. That's how they always behave. Self-employment
Okaka27: Worst of them all. Do you think we can still vote in th right leaders?
Be honest with you I don't think we can get the right leaders via vote in this country. This is because the bad leaders we currently have have taken away the voting rights of every single citizen. No matter how many of us votes even if all of us vote against their favour, they will definitely manipulate the results.
The only way good leaders can come in is through the "Jerry Rawlings" pattern in Ghana. But unfortunately, tribalism and religious differences are impediments to achieve that.
Okaka27: You are very correct. Yes I was a supporter of APC back om 2015. Let me explain brother.
I was 20 years old and was blinded by many reasons. I had zero knowledge in political issues and was only following my Muslim beliefs. By 2020 Nigeria was getting worse and I knew I was wrong. I made personal research and read more about black oppression, state capture, and capitalism These were all related to our history and it is how nigeria really works till today. I am 31 now and I have realized nigeria problems wasnt Jonathan but tribalism and religious doctrines. But if we can come together with one mind, we cam do wonders with togetherness and remove these corrupt leaders gradually and strategically. Thanks and sorry for ignorance all those years.
It's ok bro. We all make mistakes. Many people not only you supported APC with their fake promises of Change and I forsaw that they had absolutely nothing to offer Nigeria. I just didn't realize that it will be this worse.
So the youths are to blame? The secondary and primary school kids are to blame? The market women who work 24/7 to feed their family is to blame? The bus drivers who work tirelessly to grow their family is to blame? The thousands of graduates desperate for humble job opportunities are to blame?
You are a ma d man!
See this life? I remember back then when you were supporting APC and Buhari in 2015 and abusing Jonathan.
Why are you complaining now? We warned you all back them but you people were abusing us and calling us TANiods
“I need no soothsayer to know that many of them came into Abuja pretending as party supporters. Some came from the North, some from the West and what have you.
