@Thor, Idupaul you guys might win a nobel for your green friendliness grin

Atilla- seems you have been walking around my mind.

As for flying,Seems PH boys don't have the challenge of flying straight into another car (traffic jam) as is the case in lagos, even third mainland don close sad, come to think of it,we should consider flying cars as well grin

As for buying a new a brand new Toyota prado, that out of reach for the average nigerian worker, got any friendlier sugesstion?

Car TalkBest Everyday Automobile For Lagos: Nominations For 2008 by Dedax(op): 12:26pm On Aug 24, 2008
Please post your nominations for the best everyday ride for Lagos roads considering the following:

- Traffic jams:over heating, slow running etc
- Submarine capabilities: Flooding and (if it can float it will be da bomb) ground clearance
- Suspensions: ability to survive avarage road (craters) potholes
- Durability: How long can it survive before falling apart
- Cost of maintenance: Cheap is a relative term,if its worth more than its weight in salt- ITS CHEAP
- Fuel Economy: Diesel,Petrol, gas (or those who have the mythical water engines huh)even steam engines are welcome
- Any other attributes you know makes it fit for Lag

Pictures,Specs and justifiable reasons will be great. You MUST HAVE YOUR REASON(s) O!

All are free to criticise -but constructively please. Decent yabbing is totally allowed grin

I am not ashamed to be a Nigerian- but often NOT PROUD TO BE identified as one.
This whole discourse stinks with ignorance and lack of civility. If you do not understand things can't questions be asked? it pains me deeply to see you all make a mess of a novel work. Technology can work anywhere in the world if you do your own end of the assignment.Someone here has done it for us all in Nigeria but you all just rain absurdities? instead of helping find bugs or points you think can be a challenge and how he will handle them. If you do not understand make enquiries.

@ labiyemmy
No doubt a lot of work has gone into this work but dont let people ruin it by letting them get to you. Learn to ignore silly comments. You are selling a product that is definitely needed concern yourself with your work and leave simpletons the task of making public their ignorance. keep up the good work. Control yourself, its your thread, master them.

Dedax

I regret to have offended anyone, most especially the great Viperman. I really admire him.

Some people really need to know how to talk on this forum. All they interested in is to destroy what you have for sale. Those people need to be treated with less dignity sometime. I know that I don't have bad attitude. Some just don't know that prices of cars that are brought from Cotonou or Lagos are different. Also, when you buy vehicles in the US, you either buy a clean or salvaged cars, which has the difference of between 4,000 dollars and 6,000 dollars. Does it mean because someone is on your neck for 2.2 million means your asked the person who has the car to sale it. The car got to Nigeria with more than that. Does it mean because you saw a Highlander with leather interior means I must have the one with leather too. A guy called me the other day asking to pay 1.5 million for 2005 highlander. Laughable, isn't it? How do you talk to people like that?

From the record of your posting, you are new to nairaland and ill-informed. Please you need to post something to sale and have the experience of people just bastradizing your product before you jump to conclusion.

I have found somebody to pick the car up on Tuesday for 2.95 million.
Well Said. Congratulations on your sale. Just don't let people annoy you for fun. Reply with a nice jab instead.Been on nairaland long enough to see how others handle cases like this. Dont be mistaken,No need to post on every thread if you are a shopper like me. Stay cool.

I sincerely think you should get some help with your attitude, it will destroy you. Learn civility and human relations before you come out as a salesman.
CareerRe: Any Hope For Those "Unfortunate" To Have Finished With 3rd Class? by Dedax(m): 11:50am On Jul 15, 2008
Third Classers,

Do not allow any man to make you feel inferior. Everyone has a story. Conquer the challenges that come as part of your daily work. Whether its as a result 0f the system or not, move on. A degree is just a gate pass in the strictest sense of life. But there are many gates that lead to the same destination and do not require having a first class. What about those who didnt even attend a university?

If it means going back to school do it. If it means extra hardwork, do it. If it means setting up on your own do it. Any man who thinks he is better than you just because he has a better grade is not very bright. What matters is making a success of your life. Take what you have and move on. Do a PGD, move on to masters. Even MBA's are possible.

Wole Soyinka finished his first degree with a third class. If he stopped because he listened to myopic people he wouldnt be the KONGI, a Nobel prize winner we know today. Some comments are not worth reading so dont read them. You came here because you know deep within you that you are better.

Get a PGD. Be daring. Be bold and courageous. Tough and resolute. Nobody asks about your degree class when you are making impact. As I said it is a gate pass. Find another gate or take the time to go back and get the key if you MUST go through a particular gate.

YOUR CLASS OF DEGREE IS NOT THE STORY OF YOUR LIFE, ITS A PIECE OF CARDBOARD on which a piece of your history (dead yesterday is written)

GO MAKE IT HAPPEN.
ALL THE BEST.
