It suggests that if a believer does so, they become an unbeliever - is that right?

Is there a specific penalty for this or, is there a prescribed penalty for unbelief more generally?

Penalty for expression?

In this our world, there is freedom of speech, fully supported by the UN charter and Nigerian constitution...freedom of speech, freedom of expression. stop spreading extremism, the world is not about you and everyone is not like you, there are hundreds of religions out there. What about the officers treating him like he is guilty without investigation...and the culture of detaining then investigation is wrong, because the defendant would have suffered in cell for no just cause.

Nigerian police very unprofessional conduct here, like in many cases, they just take the report of the complainant, and treat a defendant like he is guilty, even before conducting any investigation.

Nigeria is a dangerous place where someone can fabricate lies, and the police will lock you up without evidence or proof, this is very bad. Police should investigate before locking people in cells.
