If we are pragmatically wise in the South, and understand the dangers of playing into their hands, the solution is to push for the formal and FG-backed effort to put all religions, Christianity and Islam or any other, where they belong. I.e in homes and private places of worship like Mosque and Church with no allowance at all for their influence in public and socio-economic life in any corner of Nigeria.

With the USA pushing for the end of Sharia, especially because of its contentious approval of "blasphemy killings" we have unfortunately had to witness in Nigeria, the South should be using this current global focus on Nigeria to push for more secularity the North must accept rather than us making retrogressive noise about greater influence of Christianity in public life.

Passivity has gotten a lot killed, it's a disease and either naivety or you are being the devil's advocate here. The pragmatist will realize, while Nigeria remains one and with regional autonomy not delivered, that a push for formal and government-backed declaration to make Nigeria more secular, with no exception for any region, is the way forward.

I think you are simply being emotional and unwise. Otherwise you'd see the obvious danger the interpretation the entire world, including the jihad-seeking fundamentalists Islamist currently sponsoring terror in Nigerian, would make of Christian law, like Sharia, being introduced in the South.
