Thank you honorable Chocs I applied for one on Tuesday 20/10/2020. But I really hope to hear from them before the note arrives since it takes approximately 30 days for notes to be released.

Chocs:
Sorry to hear. Please order your GCMS notes if you haven't

Best wishes

*sigh of relief*
Thanks for your response, will wait patiently.

If they need a police clearance they will surely inform you, cos I too I didn’t submit any police clearance because I wasn’t asked to do so at the point of my application

Hello,
Please gurus I need your help, when I was applying for study permit, I was told police clearance is optional, so I didn't submit one. Please could that be the reason the embassy has been quiet? Please how safe is this for my application? If it is not safe, can I still add the police clearance to my application?
I received AIP on August 6, medicals (passed), and biometrics (completed Sept 1) and I have not received any update since then. I was counseled on Monday to apply for GCMS notes which I submitted yesterday. Please what should I do?

I got AIP on August 6, started online classes on September 9. I just applied for GCMS note, ultimately I await a favorable final decision.

What's the latest about your application now?

Amen, I can imagine how tiring this is for you but please keep hope alive. I submitted my study permit application, April 9th but due to covid, I can't even count the days of waiting again. I just trust that God will perfect everything.
adeenzo:
Its 45 days into my application (submitted Sept 7th) and yet no contact from canada sigh.. My application just shows review of eligibility and processing background checks (ps. I have done biometrics before from my previous travel to canada, so no need for biometrics request)... I will continue to keep the faith and I know it will end in praise, may this year be favorable for us

Thanks a lot, will order one immediately.

Hello Dee4Doyinsola

You can order your gcms notes to see the current state of your application. If you have been approved, you’ll see it there. To do that, just google “GCMS notes sites Canada” and you’ll see several websites you can order it from. It costs between $15-$20 cad and can take up to 35 days to be ready. If you have anyone in Canada to order it on your behalf (citizen, permanent resident or temporary resident) it would cost $5 cad only.

Getting an AIP is a good sign though.

Best wishes

Hello,
First, I want to say thank you for these threads. Discovering that I'm not alone on this path (of getting a study permit) is a great relief.

I got AIP August 6
Medicals was updated August 24
Biometrics was completed September 1
I resumed online studies September 9
I have not received any information/update about the whole process since September 1 when the biometrics was completed. Please what can I do to know if they are working on my application?
