Hello I hope it's not Lagos VFS, If it is, you might need to exercise a little more patience. I hope your timeline will not take as long as mine (today makes it day 27 for me). And as for trying their number, I will advise you to keep trying till you get them. also, send mails to lagos.immigration@international.gc.ca imploring them to expedite action.
DefyTheOdds:
I paid for the return of my passport since the 23rd of November. No feedback since then. I tried to reach them using the number on their website but couldn't. I was finally able to reach them just now using the number you provided. They confirmed that they've gotten my email and details and said that they will forward it for processing and I should expect the passport on Friday

(it has been 9 days since I paid for them to return it)

Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Dee4Doyinsola: 2:01pm On Dec 02, 2020
Oh okay. I hope mine comes soon as well.
Blavkmaann:

VFs sent one mail yesterday that my passport was ready, then after like 30 mins they sent another mail saying I should pay 11310, and fill one concent form

But I already filled the form anD paid on Sunday that’s like 3 days ago, so I just resent the mail!

PLEASE THOSE OF US THA HAVE COLLECTED THEIR PASSPORT BACK FROM VFD LAOS THRU UPS HOW WAS IT ABEG?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Dee4Doyinsola: 1:37pm On Dec 02, 2020
@Blavkmaann
Please have you received the VFS mail that will direct you to pay? If yes, please when did they send it? I got LOI a day after yours and whenever I call VFS they say my document is still at the embassy.
Blavkmaann:

Dora I sent a message, please reply, I need to know how to get my ups tracking ID
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Dee4Doyinsola: 1:33pm On Nov 27, 2020
It was uploaded on my IRCC profile before they sent LOI . If you check your profile I believe you will see it there.
Ayobami2001:
How did you recieve a counterfoil..i still don't get what it is. I have gotten my LOI...but don't understand this conterfoil

Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Dee4Doyinsola: 1:16pm On Nov 27, 2020
Please is this number for Lagos VFS
Please if it isn't, please can someone send me VFS Lagos number
Kimkalash:
08150199900. Please call repeatedly and consistently
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Dee4Doyinsola: 7:25am On Nov 27, 2020
From what I have gathered on this page they are two different things. The counterfoil I received yesterday was right above the message section and it was named counterfoil by IRCC.
Ayobami2001:
Permit me to ask...please whats this counterfoil? Is it same as Letter of Introduction ?

Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Dee4Doyinsola: 11:23pm On Nov 26, 2020
Counterfoil dropped today.

Please don't mind me my next question
Is Counterfoil something I can print? I just want to be sure I have the right thing on my IRCC profile, cos the one there I can't even click on it.

I actually thought you would be able to pay immediately after the passport is stamped. I hope Canada doesn't implement a new lockdown with all these new covid cases.
rebecausoro:

I chatted with them and they said I shouldn't pay for return courier until I get the message. These guys are just complicating stuffs with their delays. Like, what's so difficult in processing passport return effectively and swiftly. It's not like it's free.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Dee4Doyinsola: 1:29pm On Nov 25, 2020
Please do we have to wait till VFS says they have received the passport before we pay for the return of the passport through their courier services?
rebecausoro:
Obanidavid

When you got your approval last week, when did VFS send a mail that your passport arrived their office? Was it the next day or it took a while?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Dee4Doyinsola: 3:00am On Nov 25, 2020
Congratulations @rebecausoro and to all those that got approved yesterday. I pray the passport is returned speedily. smiley smiley smiley smiley Safe travels

Good evening everyone.
Please help!
I’m trying to track my passport on the VFS site, but it keeps saying tracking number doesn’t exist. I don’t know if I’m using the wrong link (track application tab) or if the number I’m entering is wrong.
Please, I’ll really appreciate any help I can get.

If you have received a tracking number from VFS you can use it to track the present stage in the whole process. If you have not received the tracking number please endeavor to call them to get it. I hope you didn't submit to VFS Lagos cos those guys need help....

I like this step you have taken and I will do the same thing because this whole process at the Lagos VFS is nons......
rebecausoro:

The name of the Deputy High Commisisioner/Acting High Commissioner of Canada to Nigeria is Ryan Ward.

You can send him a mail too on ryan.ward@international.gc.ca.

I bombarded them with mails last week sha. I even sent a mail to Marco Mendicino (the IRCC minister). Funny enough, they usually, unlike those webforms that they don't respond to.

I basically reported Lagos office to them.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Dee4Doyinsola: 1:09pm On Nov 23, 2020
I share the same timeline oh. I pray we hear good news from them oh....
Blavkmaann:
I sent to DHL on the 5th, Mr Festus signed on the 6th... on the 12th, I got the first mail, on the 18th I received those two mails.....

Till today I’m waiting for them
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Dee4Doyinsola: 8:49pm On Nov 22, 2020
I think you just have to be persistent with the calls till you get the tracking number.

JayLaw2:
Hello all, this has been a very informative platform. I got my PPR on Nov 10 and sent my passport to VFS Lagos on the 11th. Up till now, I still don’t have a tracking ID. I submitted the required documents-biometric slip, PPR form, Consent forms and sent through DHL. I didn’t need to pay transmission fee as I did my biometrics in Lagos. Each time I call, they keep telling me you will get a tracking ID at the end of the day. Is anyone in this situation please? It’s getting tiring.

You are absolutely correct the whole process was meant to strengthen our patience "muscle". If I did not learn any other thing from the process, I am learning patience and how to be proactive. I can't believe I could wait from April 9 till this time smiley smiley For those waiting for their PPR, please be encouraged as the process will end in praises.
rebecausoro:

That's what mine shows too, although the date is showing 16th on mine. The passport is with the embassy now and they'll give us feedback by next week, hopefully.

This entire Canadian visa process was created to teach us patience.

It is just about the Nigerian VAC not accepting passports from individuals you have to use DHL

Hi,
Thanks for your assistance, I'm grateful. I have sent the mail and webform to Nairobi. I was thinking do I have to send to the China office as well, since there are speculations that some applications have been transferred there?
Lekiboboe:

You are welcome,

In addition to that,
endeavor to mention ur Application Timeline, your UCI number & Application Number

Also,
indicate in ur mail & Webform that your Application has exceeded Standard Processing Time

Hello,
Please with this analysis on processing time what will you advise me to do? I submitted my application on April 9. Didn't hear anything from them till Aug 6 when AIP was issued, then I went for medicals passed medicals, and biometrics was completed on September 1. I was advised to request GCMS notes which I did on October 22, but I know that takes an average of 3 weeks - 35days. Please what else can I do? The waiting period is ..............
If I am supposed to raise a web form please how can I do that?
Lekiboboe:

Honorable Nairaluck,

You might need to be patient

Reasons are:

August 31 till today (2nd November) shows your application is still within the STANDARD PROCESSING TIME , that's 9 weeks.

The present Processing time for application done from NIGERIA is 15 weeks (See Screenshot). And they seem to av been maintaining this processing time on their website unlike bfor where in a day we would see 35 weeks, the next day 25 weeks. Keeps Fluctuating with Unrealistic Processing Time.

So 15 weeks from AUGUST 31 is 14 December , 2020, hopefully u should av gotten a Favorable response from IRCC by then, if nothing comes from them starting from 14 December upward, then you can send Webforms to them that your application has exceeded Standard Processing Time.

It will end in PRAISES!!!!
