Truckpusher: Jesus ,which planet did you come from ?
I have phobia for airplanes, but I have been flying every two weeks for 10yrs.
Can't be relaxed inside an aircraft ,all I can do is to get myself drunk for long distanct journeys and forget the world. I'm from jupiter. Of cause we have to find a way around some phobias. I used to have a phobia of been seen or talking to a large audience, but i have been able to overcome that one to an extent. Lmao@drinking and forgetting the world. |
Health › Re: 10 Funny And Weird Phobias People Actually Suffer From. by Deejavuu(f): 1:52am On Apr 18, 2015 |
ronald4lif: Hmmm. But I believe the phobia for pools can be overcome. There are some pools that are very small, you'll mistake it for a large jacuzzi and some are built indoors and not as deep. Once a person start with something like this and learns how to swim they may not find bigger pools that scary. Swimming becomes a habit and fun for them.
I think most girls I know have phobia for dark places and staying alone in a closet. I think that's just a feminine thing. I can stay alone in almost anywhere I don't really care provided I have movies to watch or wi-fi to surf the net.
Does it mean you can't live in say a 10storey building? My phobia for pools and beaches is mainly cos of fear drowning. I can stay in a 10storey building but you wouldn't catch me anywhere near the balconey. Lol |

ronald4lif: You got fears for pools and beach. Seriously? Adonbilivit! Of course people got fears for pools and beach. You can never catch me swimming, but i go to the beach tho but don't go in water. I have got some weird phobias too. I can't walk in the dark or stay in a dark place alone. I have got phobia for enclosed places top. I always have a tough time going into banking halls My phobia for heights tops it all. |
Nairaland General › Re: How To Create Catchy Topics & Generate Traffic To Your Thread by Deejavuu(f): 3:15pm On Apr 17, 2015 |
ronald4lif: Well, nicely written. I agree with everyone trying to improve this section with all the contributions made which are impressive and very resourceful. But I'm not sure how this can be achieve. A lot of people are not cut in for threads that requires thought provoking submissions. There are different reasons why we're here, some for mainly fun or others to learn a few positive things and how to improve their lives from people's opinion on private life issues. Every individual has different ways and ideas to sustaining their reason of coming on here daily. It will only make some people lose interest should one gag, suppress or attempt to discourage them from doing what makes them happy and their reason for being active on here.
About the catchy threads if you must have noticed a lot of thread that hits FP aren't that much of an intellectual material, rather they are hilarious topics geared towards achieving fun. And these threads generate more traffic than resourceful ones. The reason for this could be that people have enough of real life issues facing them, they just come on here to ease tension and could off their minds.
Finally, we all agree that this forum is an investment and whatever the owner does and operates is aim at generating maximum profit. Everyone should just learn to accept romance section as it is. We just can't change it. We don't have or need to. You have said it all. Nothing to add again. |

AgapeCharis: From a generic point me view, men get over breakups easier than the ladies. Look beyond the few guys you've seen that couldn't get over it. Compare it with the ladies you've seen that couldn't handle theirs and you'll agree that men generally get over breakups easier. I can't continue this argument, all i know is that getting over a breakup is not based on particular gender. It is relative. Guys just know how to pretend even when they are dieing inside. Because a woman shows hers she is termed weak emotionally. I rest my case! |

Romance › Re: Who Handles Breakups Easier! by Deejavuu(f): 10:20pm On Apr 16, 2015 |
ronald4lif: This is true. But we're talking on a larger scale not based on anecdotes. Most women are usually full of resentment after a break up and this is likely so because they are too emotional in life generally not just in a relationship. For instance, a mothers emotion and affection towards the kids is more than that of the father. Yes, some guys are emotionally attached more than women too but on a larger scale women are. Hard to admit right. Women are usually full of resentment yet we see and read lists upon lists of how women and heartless bla bla bla. Why do most guys release thier exes nude pictures? It's not hard to admit. I have seen more than 2 cases to admit. Guys claim tough outside, while they bleed inside.. Women just let it go after crying a few days and go for shopping |
Romance › Re: Who Handles Breakups Easier! by Deejavuu(f): 9:57pm On Apr 16, 2015 |
ronald4lif: Most women are usually more emotionally attached than men. Although some guys are emotional too but more women are. They are just good at not displaying it.
That men display more emotions in a relationship doesn't mean we are so deep into it. We just do it because it has been programmed by default that men are to show more affection in a relationship. I disagree with you on this. I have seen guys that did worse than a woman after breakup. The way one reacts after a breakup is up to the individual and not because you're a lady or a guy. I have seen tough guys crying because of breakup. |
Romance › Re: Who Handles Breakups Easier! by Deejavuu(f): 9:45pm On Apr 16, 2015 |
ronald4lif: Hehe! I know you wish this was the case but it's not. Women are more emotionally attached in a relationship than guys. A guy can easily bounce back after a break up by going for the girl next door but for women they usually take their time before embarking on a new relationship.
A guy doesn't necessarily need to love a girl to bang her but if a woman doesn't love a guy sex is a no. All these are undeniable facts and you know it.
Abeg no dey dream jare. Who says a woman is more emotionally attached? You never jamIt goes both ways. Some guys sulk for months on end after a breakup, while some girls dust it off and move on like nothing happened. The way you choose to handle relationship issues is up to you and not based on a gender. |
