There's a wise saying that says: The true character of a person is known by their actions. This is very true given the current political climate. Hadly will any day pass without you hearing exchange of abusive words from one end to another all in a bit to attack the personality of persons persived to be rivals.
Its even more shameful when you discover the so called states men who should know better are the ones raining insult on others : case in point, the Acting National Chairman of APC remarks on the President was not just irresponsible but outright childish. Fortunately his shameful acts further reinforced the fact that wisdom is not an exclusive reserved of the elderly. Apparently many of them a devoid of wisdom.
Am glad these things are happening because this will provide the perfect opportunity for Nigerians to separate the sheeps from the goats. Its funny to see many of the so called northern governors flying around the country under the guise of working for peace in the polity when in reality they are just pursuing their 2015 agenda. One then ask the question, why didn't they visit Bornu and Yobe states to find a lasting solution to the terrorists crisis there? Why? It's ironic to see these governors parabulating around the country under code name : Peace Mission , when they never visited the governors of Yobe or Burno especially when Boko haram killed over 40 school children?! I rest case.
Mature politics the world over is about discussing issues : how to tackle the economy, reduce poverty, provide good and affordable health care and many others. Sad this is not the case in Nigeria. All you hear is kindergarten, friends becoming enemies, formation of suspicious political alliance, abusive words and insults. What a way to go for 2015.
As someone said democracy is the government of the people by the people and to the people, same applies to Leadership. Leadership does not belong to the north, neither does it belong to the south, east or west. Leadership belongs to the people. Only Nigerians themselves will decide who goes to Asso Rock in 2015. Not some few wolves in sheeps clothing.

I had the same problem about two weeks ago. It's either your phone had crashed or something relating to the software. If you have a phone flashing software in your laptop computer you can rectify it or better still take it to any phone repair shop near you. In either case it's a software issue that can be resolved.

UK - no independence for local governments
Australia & Canada - no constitutional independence for local governments.
India, Argentina etc Same.

I can only think of Switzerland and a handful of very small countries with a semblance of independence for local governments.

Local government independence sounds all well and good on paper, but in practice it can create a lot more complications. Having 3 totally independent levels of gov't in a country, particularly one with an unstable democracy, could create new problems.


The current arrangement is certainly poor, but a full constitutional independence will be a step too far for now.

Your admission that granting local government autonomy will lead to disaster is an admission that all states in the federation are in a state of lawless and are ruled by impunity.
For your information United kingdom is made up of three autonomous states binded by the rule of law.
I don't get it when I hear people say granting autonomy will increase corruption when it is a known fact that corruption is a universal phenomenon. Do you know the massive corruption currently taking place in Lagos state in the name of urban development? Do you know why there's massive building collapse in Lagos state? You guys have no idea the kind of massive corruption currently going in Lagos state. Only true federalism will check the structures that allows corruption to flourish in Nigeria. True federalism in the form of autonomy for all states and local governments period.

Our mental attitude plays a very big role in every activity we venture into. Be it business, sports or any other. It determines whether we succeed or not. The good thing is that we all have complete control of our minds. It all falls down on us to use it positively to our advantage. I use to be a very good table tennis ( ping pong ) player back in the day when I was in high school. I was the best in my neighborhood. I hardly loose a game. Always winning. In fact it came to a point where some of my friends started to recent me because I was almost unbeatable. These were the same guys who were making fun of me when I was still learning how to play from the beginning. So I loose some couple of games intentionally just to calm their nerves. I notice something very powerful during those periods. My being good at table tennis was not just because I practice it a lot. I developed the power to become a table tennis champion through my mind. It was all from the mind. I mastered the art of the game right through my mind. Its not always the team that practice hard that wins. I have seen a lot of athletes who practice very hard every day in preparation for the big game only to come down crashing like a pack of cards.They were prepared physically. But mentally they were not. And they lost miserably. Its all from the mind. I wasn't like this before. I used to be very poor in the game of table tennis. I lost from game to game to the point that every time I was invited to play people just laugh because they were 100 percent sure I will be eliminated in a couple of minutes. Then one day I just sat in my room and visualize myself playing tennis like a champion. I pictured myself defeating all those who were laughing at me. I practiced with my brother. Well its all history now because I have beaten all those who were making fun of me when I still learning. I became a local champion all because I pictured myself becoming one. That;s the true power of the mind!
We all have the capacity and power to succeed and be the best in what we do. It starts from our mind. Developing a positive mental attitude is like developing a catalyst. I feel like a church prostitute now.haha. Remember that naija song onwa december. But the fact is that that has dawned on me is that the decent shapely pretty ones in my age category in the church are all married. The others are obese and overweight and are baby mamas. I lived in a city that has a very low Nigerian population too and I was involved in a 7 months relationship with an Akata slut before she cheated on me and got pregnant for her 'baby daddy'. She is now planning to be a single mom. Most Akata girls here have bipolar disorder and are really crazy. If you really wanna find a good wife then you might want to start attending a good church because that is the only place you can find a good girl here in America. America has a bleeped culture and according to a recent survey, 70% of black children are born out of wedlock. There is a 27 years old Akata girl I know that has 4 kids from 3 different baby daddies and she is still single,unmarried and living off welfare and food stamp.
