I have being reading that line a lot online please can you explain those untapped opportunities?
Ok. I can elaborate on this a little bit . And probably give you some concrete exemples .

First of all , I suggest you go on YouTube and search for . " cowboy capitalist " .
it is about some white guys going to Africa to make money. Listen to The first 10 MN intro, That will help you understand why Africa is the last frontier .

1- Do you know that 6 or 7 out of 10 world fastest growing economies are in Africa as we speak ?
I was not aware of this myself until a friend who is risk manager at Goldman Sachs investment bank told me this . And I went to Google it.

2- As The world population keep growing exponentially , there is a pending food crisis pending .
Climate change is not a helping matter either because many land are becoming unfavorable and over used .
According to many expert , the solution is in Africa . We have the biggest , largest almost virgin lands for agriculture anywhere in the world. ( Please go listen to Ted radio hour . The big 5 challenges awaiting the world ) . Now ask yourself why the Chinese are all over the continent now trying to grab as many land as the can .

3- less competition , fewer regulation more relax environment. Etc..

I know this Lebanese guy who told me that he used to live in Nigeria when he was young.
His dad opened a candy factory and this is how he started making his fortune .
The Chinese , the Lebanese comes with nothing , and leave our shores millionaires .
When Donald Trump received African leaders he told them how he has many friends who became very rich doing businesses in Africa . Go see that video .

Now to be concrete . Just think outside the box . Don't try to copy what everyone is doing . Try to create solutions in your enviroments. Think big . Always be one step ahead . Money is all around you.

- don't sell that family acres of land just to travel abroad and do manual jobs.
Buy 2 or 3 tractors ( you don't have to farm like your grandfather did ) , build that autonomous irrigation system . Try to be like those rich American farmers .

- solar is another big thing . With all the sun we have you can create a little cooperative , install and supply electricity for your people for a monthly fee.

- you want to do poultry business ? Why not create your own small brand of fast food or KFC type at the side ?

- All those trash you see everywhere , do you know that there are system nowadays to transform it to home cooking gas ?

I can go on and on. If Nigeria is not working for the moment . U can choose another African country . Abide by their law. Mingle with the right people to get some connection. Prayer and some luck , you are good to go.

How sir? How is it that you do not find it easy as a Citizen. Are there not jobs for you to do. I'm confused by your post.
Don't get me wrong being a citizen give me numerous opportunities when it comes to get a job and pay the bills etc.... ( which is what 90% of people here do anyway. The system is set up that way . No escape from it ) .

America has its own realities and ramifications . You have to come , Feel it to truly understand . Forget about what people say and what you see on hollywood TV show..

The fact is , for the sake of showing that they have made it in life , many people in the diaspora don't tell the truth .
I am 36 . I spent 20 years here , study here . Have a great career . No complain on that front ...
I might not know it all , but I have seen it or experienced it .

1- here , You are strictly on your own . The system itself have no soul and only care about money .
Your family members have their own bills and wahala to worry about . This is how children here abandon their elderly parents in nursing home and move on with their own life.

2- here , nothing really belong to you . Whatever you think you have , you can lose it anytime.
30 years mortgage . You finish paying . The minute you owe property tax , The municipality will take that house from you and sell it.
Years ago I rented a room to a lady in her 70 who used to own 2 houses. Lost the first one through bankrupcy . Second one due to sickness and she couldn't pay .

If you have big ambitions , Africa is where the untapped opportunities are right now.
The way my brothers kill themselves here working 2 , 3 jobs just to survive and pay bills ,
If they could apply the same energy and a bit of creativity many would have been billionaire in Naija.

As for you friend who is saving $3500 a month , ask him to borrow you $1000 only for emergency. Or 100 even .
You will see his reaction and judge for yourself if he is truly saving that much. cheesy

Being a female an undocumented in the Western world can be the worst.
Some guys , knowing that you are against the wall and desperate will take advantage of you.
Some will promise you marriage and paper... Just to use you as sex you for a while and dump you.

Having 2 kids , make the equation even more complexe.
In many states , you need to drive to get around. You will need a helper , picking the kids in school while you are at work etc. Loneliness , the level of stress . Hummm...I feel your pain sister !
Where is your husband ? In Nigeria ?

If he can come , file aylum within the first year . Put you and the kids name on the application. If he win , you all will be benefit automatically.

For me , even as a citizen i don't find this place easy at all. Talk less of people without paper . Chaiii.
I strongly believe the real money is still in Africa if you know what you are doing .
Even planning to settle in Ghana or another place , work remotely ... Do businesses and be going in and out .

If education alone is what makes one rich , NIGERIAN would have been the richest immigrants in the USA.
This thing hit me like a bath of cold water when i first heard on npr radio that nigerian are the most educated group of immigrants in america.
I went and google it and surprise that was true .

And yet when it comes to wealth in america nigerians are nowhere near the JEW ( number 1 ) , INDIANs , CHINESE etc....!
Time to wake up. This is a new world we living in .
- critical thinking and creativity
- entrepreneurship with goal and passion is what makes you rich .

Where did you get your figures from? Who do you know that makes $150K/yr that cannot afford to pay college tuition for his/her kids? Moreover, the fact that many people opt for financial instruments to pay for college is not a measure of wealth or lack of. The number of American families with incomes over $75K/yr has tripled over the decades so which shrinking are you talking about about?

If Nigeria is a trillion times better than the States when it comes to making money why is the GDP of Nigeria $5,900 compared to the States' $57,300? (using 2016 figures https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/rankorder/2004rank.html). The same Nigeria where it was reported that only a small fraction, just 2% of the banked population, have more than N500K in their bank accounts (http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/06/2-nigerians-90-bank-deposits-ndic/) Are you referring to the other Nigeria from Alice in Wonderland grin

If you think that the majority of Americans are living from hand to mouth then, like I said, I think you need to expand your circle of friends and acquaintances. The streets are not paved with gold, true, but there is a reason the US remains the top destination for people looking to improve their economic lot.
7 out of 10 american dont have $1000 in saving

https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/personalfinance/2016/10/09/savings-study/91083712/

More than half ameeican cant come up with $500 in case of emergency .

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3387392/More-half-Americans-just-500-away-personal-financial-disaster-t-handle-unexpected-emergency-bill.html

In fact i was listening to a show where the scholars are trying to find a new definition to what it means to be a middle class in america .
Many of some kind of debts one way or another.

Sorry the days of fantasies and Alice in Wonderland are now officially over. The United States middle class is shrinking and it is glaring even in the suburbs for all to see. People who earn $150,000 can't even afford to pay college tuition for their kids in cash and most even refuse to become co-signers on the documents. If making money is the definition of success then Nigeria is a trillion times better than America. In 2017 America almost 70% of the population can't even come up with a merely $400 in an emergency. The painful truth is that no Nigeria traveled to America because of basic amenities it was after we got there and reality sets in that we started consoling ourselves with living in a system that works. An average Nigerian is after money and there is none to pick on the streets of Plano
If you have money , africa is sweet die . Good climate , real organic fruits and food ( That cost a fortune for rich white people . Non GMO foods ) , house built paid for . no stress , servants at your service / gate man , cooks , house maids . here extremely rich people use that luxury.

Talking about power , with the price of solar panels that keep dropping ,why not .... Use it . ? Now you can even do it hybrid
I'll never pay electricity bill when my house is done .
For a place that have sunshine most of the day .

Talking about food . really ?
Get an extra piece of land . grow your own food . have chicken poultry.
Here in the usa only rich people own big farm rach etc.. .
We can do the same thing too.

For the rest Work hard as you did in the west . Build a business . Dont brag ... Keep a low profil. And life is good .
TravelRe: Dear Nigerians In Diaspora, Is This Wickedness Or Selfishness? by deepchocolate: 4:50pm On Apr 29, 2017
ayodele234:
The honest truth about America is that 64% of Americans can't even come up with $400 in an emergency. I am talking about first class citizens. Even an annual salary of $100,000 these days is nothing in America. I always laugh when most Nigerians living in America boast that they earn more than a banker in Nigeria doing menial jobs. But the banker here is already in his second building while most of them will still be paying rent for at least 15yrs before they will even be able to raise money for a 20% down payment on a condo house. Poverty is defined by where you live and not by converting currencies. If there is any place Nigerians are finding it tough it is in the US.
Tell me about it . Many people living in the west are just survivors . They made it difficult to take money out of the system.
Last time i went to the bank to take $ 5000 of my own saving , it was like pulling teeth. They wanted to know what i wanna do with it etc...etc... Thats my . own cash jare
At the end of slavery , many negros didnt know where to go .since by law they couldnt own a property .
The slave master came with a system called "SHARECROPPING" .
Meaning you are allow to stay on the plantation. I pay you dimes for your labour . But you can only use that dime to buy foods , rent on the plantation only.
Your hard earn money stay on the plantation or in the system. Thats the real America !
If you have kids , it becomes harder to even evade the system.

TravelRe: Dear Nigerians In Diaspora, Is This Wickedness Or Selfishness? by deepchocolate: 12:13am On Apr 29, 2017
After 16 years in america i can testify that life here is truly a mirage.
Nothing really belong to you here . i mean nothing . Anything you have , you can loose it anytime .
You finish paying 30 years mortgage on a house. You owe some back property taxes .... That house is gone . r taken and sold by the municipality. Back home you build your house ... You can rest at peace. No mortgage . you pass it to your kids and grandkids.
Everything na debt ! Acordind to the statistic sef 75 % of american are one paycheck away from being homeless. Living day by day .

Time goes by so fast because you spend 2/3 of your life working just to pay bills .

And for girls trying to settle in america illegaly.... I pity you. Guys will promise you paper use you and sleep with you left and right . i have seen it many times.

As for me , i am planning my return . 3 months here 3 month back home. Save and build my business empire .
I am a citizen. if things dont work i can always come back.
I dont even mess with girls here ( i am 34 am i hope its not late to settle down with a local chick at home . when ready )... Because by the time one get pregnant for you here in america , you are caught up in the system. You will never leave.
My only concern now is my student loans .

bro, the minute she told you that she "almost" got fukced by someone when you guys broke up, should have been your cue that this babe dont give a fukc about you any longer, and you are just a way to get by. your r/ship will never be the same and you might as well dump this deceitful woman.
Hummm...Thanks bro . This is so painful .!!!
My sister is even telling me that , the fact is she can not tell me point blank she has someone.
So she told me the truth half way , which probably explain her arrogance.
Why dont she focus on the one she almost dated and leave me alone. It hurt !
