What North Koreans do is venerate Kim as the Supreme Leader since the means production are overseen by Him . In Confucianism , its adherents including the religious atheists venerate and worship the spirits of the ancestors ; in Catholicism , its adherents venerate Mary , the mother of Jesus . But these entities are not seen as gods though they are worshiped and venerated by the adherents .

The atheist Confucians also erect alters of worship for these spirits and even perform rituals . We've seen Catholics bow down and worship the statue of Mary . But these spirits and Mary are not gods . The same thing happens with North Korea .

The worship and veneration of Kim does not mean he is a god in North Korea , its the way totalitarian governments subjugate and control their masses . There is no such conferment of the godhood titleship to the North Korean Supreme Leader .

I have dedicate full time to materialism at this moment. I need to keep my businesses running perfectly now, i have decided to pause most of my spiritual quests for now. I believe I have gained much from a full year of spiritual advancement. When I achieve one more success, I will dive back into the realms of Spirit Science. 1. THE WOUNDED: The wounded is an atheist in denial, deep in his heart he knows there's God because he has tasted of the powers of the world to come....... THIS IS HIS STORY.... He was once a fervent Christian, he gave all the seeds, did all the evangelism, prayed all the prayers, fasted even exercised some spiritual gifts.... Simply put ' e cari church for head'..... BUT SOMETHING HAPPENED..... Something tragic, painful....maybe he lost a family member, failed an exam,maybe she was raped....something happened and he taught... If truly there was God, this wouldn't have happened...... No..... No.. .. God can't be that heart less to allow this to happen... No..... Infact.... THERE IS NO GOD... (If you ever meet these ones during evangelism they will be like 'GUY FORGET..... WE HAVE DONE ALL These THINGS YOU ARE DOING BEFORE')

I just remembered this question. Please answer this one too.

I remember when I was a christian, there was a period I experienced a kind of happiness and inner peace that I had never experienced in my life. I was listening to gospel music and the sound just serenaded the entire atmosphere and I experienced a kind of high that was akin to sexual orgasm, but in this case it was every part of my body and mind experiencing this immense gratification. It was powerful and long lasting. What constituted this feeling? How was I able to experience this? Was it my belief working for me?

Can humans access the consciousness of people like Jesus and Buddha and mingle with them?

I am a Christian and a very strict one for that matter. You can't separate me from the Bible.

So, I believe the Bible is an inspiration from God. We are to know the stories of others and learn from their experiences, above all, we are to follow the Commandments of God.

And God's Commandments are like a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. I do my best by His special grace to live by it.

But how can you ask a Christian, if she honestly believes the Bible is God's inspiration? Except I'm no longer a Christian but why should I pretend being one?

The Bible is inspired by God but it also tells us what to follow and not what to follow. The wrong doings of David are in the Bible also, I am not to follow it because someone was inspired by God to write down the story.

Here it is:

1) So u say u can explain prophesies and other supernatural stuff. Go ahead and explain, we are all ears. And while u r at it, also explain to us how u know for sure that anything exists outside yourself, in other words how u know that all this is not happening only in your head.

2) Remember I said I'd be more inclined to believe you. It is a matter of probability. Be honest, who would u be more inclined to believe: someone who is supported by thousands of people over thousands of years and all sorts of supernatural stuff OR someone who says he is guessing there could have been a big bang out of nothing, while admitting he knows absolutely nothing about 96% of what he is guessing about!? They call it dark matter/dark energy. (That means scientists can study only 4% of the PHYSICAL universe. Not to talk of other possible aspects of the universe that are completely beyond our equipments and imagination)

3. The question is: is it possible, in this our universe, to KNOW something and yet not be able to explain it or give proof about it? I believe the answer is yes. So if one says he is not sure about the answers to the questions of this thread, he should not also go ahead to say that nobody else knows.

In conclusion, I believe this our reality was intentionally set up such that it is impossible to fully understand it's true nature and be able to logically or scientifically explain it, while still in it.
Religion takes that into account. Atheists (logic and science) don't.

See, the thing is that you admit you don't know. Which is understandable because you are very limited - you even have no way of knowing if anything exists outside yourself.
Someone else emphatically say they know without a doubt based on things beyond your limited understanding. Then they support their claim with things beyond your limited purview: prophesies, miracles, prayers answered, lives dramatically transformed, etc.
See, what you should say is that you don't know and stop there. Don't say nobody else knows. You are way too limited to say that.

Of course it is real, remember before Christianity or Islam came to Nigeria, there was Juju worship and there still is juju worship till now. I have visited Cities, Towns where you practically see juju at T-junctions sacrificed to Juju gods. Many juju worshippers like to nail some kind of charms on trees, most especially the Baobab tree, why that is, I have no idea.
