xpac01: We had the best brains in Africa. The Europe only played smartness on African. Read the book " How Europe underdeveloped Africa" it has the answer to your question. Though African brethren aint still helping themselves. Still have a copy....written by Walter Rodney of French Guyana. ... Even the author, while blaming the Europeans/ West for our backwardness, didn't fail to state clearly that we are also very responsible for our backward state as a people . |

EdCure: I promote peaceful electionas as I remember the Kenya election violence.
GEJ and his wife happen to be the chief promoter of election violence in Nigeria presently. They make inflamatory speaches, sponsor outright lies against opposition figures, make provocative remarks against certain ethnic groups and provide arms, money and full police protection for ethnic militias & thugs to terrorise Nigerians in broad day light.
This happens in Port-Hacourt, Lagos, Kaduna, Benin and other places too numerous to mention.
Jonathanians must let peace reign in the land. They must stop intimidating and bragging to us that they have the power to burn down this beautiful country if they fail to have their way.
Actions, they say, speak louder than words. Let peace reign. The forces of chaos and terror shall be defeated by the hordes of peace and love, and Nigeria shall move forward. Thanks for your contribution, Edcure! |

This election is not a do-or-die affair. I hope there would be no rigging, though. If we lose, we lose. No need to turn the machetes on ourselves. After all, most of these politicians don't even give a damn about us.
Sai Buhari!!! Sai Baba!!! You're indeed welcome to this PEACE campaign. Like you rightly said, it isn't a do or die affair. Thanks for your words of peace. Without peace, there can't be any real progress. God bless you, Omoluwabi |

Paulpaulpaul: Nigeria's constitution is a replica of America's constitution. Nigeria's democracy was not mature then and the level of corruption was so high that the coup was a timely decision.
Could you imagine the then CBN governor saying: ''the problem of Nigeria wasn't how to make money but how to spend it?''
Shehu Shagari and Alex Ekwueme were too weak to rule an independent nation. The effects of oil boom, civil war and corruption was more than they could handle. The military was the only alternative we had then.
It can happen anywhere, Gadafi overthrown the Idris to become the leader of Libya. And you're deeply convinced all these points of yours do justify the overthrow of a democratically elected government? In saner climes, GMB won't even come anywhere near! |
