I wouldn't have voted if election came on 14th of February because I was still observing the candidates, parties and supporters. That was how I saw the evil emanating from these broom gangs. The companies reported this issue to the regulatory commission including the attendant burden it poses to doing business in Nigeria.

The regulatory commission looked into the matter and invited the service providers on the need to consider the Federal Government drive for industrialization and job creation as to abandon the said increase.

Yesterday, the deal was announced to take effect from March, 2015.

NB: This decision has nothing to do with private consumers.

[b]The only area I don't agree is how you think a PDP win will make Nigerians winner and make PDP sit up. If anything, a PDP win is a loss for Nigeria and will embolden PDP to continue in their usual ways.

What a PDP win will represent is a reward for failure of 16 ignoble years which is what we have done in the previous elections. Had we voted out PDP after four or eight years of OBJ's mediocre performance, perhaps an ACN presidency would have out-performed them for another four or eight years.

Do you really think a PDP win will lead to the following:

1. A serious war against corruption?
2. Discontinuation of awarding contracts to militants in the name of securing our pipelines? A constitutional responsibility of our Armed Forces?
3. Provision of adequate security to quickly dislodge insurgency whenever it rears its ugly head?
4. Accelerated provision of infrastructures?
5. Improvement in power supply?
etc., etc.

The fact that PDP has failed to even tackle one or two of these mentioned issues to national applause after 16 years at the center is enough for us Nigerians not to consider them worthy of another four years.

I also choose to disagree with you on all these points. I need not tell thee the PDP has learned its lesson, and what else could prove that other than the recent responsible steps( though there maybe some political underpinnings) Mr.President is taking? It has learned its lesson. Only fools will resent improvement when there is obvious reasons for it.

The PDP can only get better; its got no other choice. It will NEVER allow itself get boxed to the corner like it is today.

On the other hand and as you've rightly observed, an APC win will send a strong message not only to PDP but all other parties that it is the electorates who decide who rule them. PDP as an opposition party will re-organize and be confident of winning back the presidency should APC fail to deliver the goods.

OP are you seriousely demanding Buhari to stand for an hour adressing a Nigeria audience? This is not going to be like a script written adress where he will be reading out but another man's opinions. How do you expect him to figure out answers for the unexpected questions he would be fielding from the audience? What baffles me most is not the fact that he is not mentally capable of a debate of such magnitude but his deceitful nature that disallows him to accept his incompetence and tell the Nation the truth. O yaa! We have seen Goodluck's answers to the debate from his 4yrs administration. What then? Let's hear you out mr fugitive. Your own side of the debate. And see if you are a better option. Unfortunately, in the game of politics, gladiators play to their strength and take advantage of their opponent's weaknesses. So if a front runner knows that avoiding a debate will not damage his chances at the polls, why will he/she participate in one with a possibility of a slip thereby helping his enemy? It is what PDP did in 1999 when OBJ refused to debate Falae and they did it again in 2003, 2007 and 2011 without any consequences.

Let's face the fact here, APC/GMB are the front runner in this election (they must have done several permutations and calculations to know that. If they were not, they would have accepted a debate) and PDP/GEJ are playing catch-up (they know this fact too hence the desperation, the personal attacks, rejecting PVC/card readers etc.) and as such requesting for a debate with the hope that GMB will slip.

We as electorates are right to ask for a debate but the parties are at liberty to honour it or not. At the end, electorates can choose not to vote for whoever declines a debate as a punishment for shunning them. Unfortunately again, our democracy has not evolved to that point where politicians will see debates as a necessity to win additional voters to their side especially when PDP has done it severally without any regrets.
