PoliticsRe: Append Your Signature: No Violence! by dein77(op): 6:36pm On Mar 19, 2015
PassingShot:
Dein77, my respect for you has increased. You are a rare GEJite and a true progressive.

I have said here many times that I belong to no party. My support for APC at this time is primarily because of GMB whom I believe is what we need at this critical time of our nation.

I hereby appeal to all and sundry on this forum to spread the campaign of violence-free election to their relatives, friends and neighbors.

Nigeria shall overcome.

GMB 2015.
Thank you sir. It being a pleasure meeting you here. Thanks for your unflinching support for the peace and progress of this nation!

God's will must be done.

PoliticsRe: Append Your Signature: No Violence! by dein77(op): 4:18pm On Mar 19, 2015
I conscientiously say NO to violence. And I vow to never say or do anything that will breach peace and create mayhem.

So help me GOD!

Still gunning for GEJ!
PoliticsAppend Your Signature: No Violence! by dein77(op):
This might be my last thread in this section till the Presidential elections are over. Unless, of course, if I have something very important to pass across.

Without Nigeria, there's no GMB. No GEJ. We all need this nation to play the politics. No man's ambition is worth your blood; no man's intention is worth your life. Development is meaningless to the death; progress meaningless to the lifeless.

Even before last December, a lot of our top politicians have been rumoured to have the families flown out of the country. They shall be following development from Aljazeera and CNN; from the comfort of their palatial houses and suites while those of us here will filing in line to vote. The message is clear: if anything goes wrong, we are ON OUR OWN. So much tension in the land. Don't forget Rwanda. Don't forget Sometimes In April. Don't forget the post election violence of 2011.

We campaign more than the children of our candidates. Let's be guided. Let's be wise. Elections will come and go. There will be other elections, if we give peace a chance. Buhari must be prepared for defeat. GEJ must also be prepared for that outcome. There's so much tension in the lands; weapons are finding their ways into the wrong hands. Karma is watching.

Your lives are precious; more preciousthan you think. Go out and vote. Avoid unnecessary arguments. Allow INEC to do its job.

Follow peace. Say NO to violence. Put your signature to support this thread!

THE US should quit playing God to Nigeria.....They should stop killing black teens first. ..

where's the help they promised on BH? We are a sovereign nation, and doesn't need any endorsement whatsoever from the US to handle our issues.....

Their Hypocrisy is nauseating.

Nigeria is moving forward!
PoliticsRe: Buhari’ll Restore Hope To Nigeria, Says Utomi by dein77(m): 12:10pm On Mar 19, 2015

Good talk by Pat utomi. so many of my brothers and sisters in my home state, Rivers state are asking why am supporting APC and Buhari. First, I told them that Governor Amaechi has done well which they all accepted. secondly, I told them that in all honesty that GEJ failed us which they also accepted too. But they will still vote for him. But when I asked them d reasons for still wanting to vote GEJ, they said he is from Niger Delta. There and then, I told them that governance is a serious issue and not brotherly thing. If GEJ is my brother and could not perform, and there is this Igbo man whom I know has the ability to perform and deliver the goods, won't I support him?

Politics2015 Elections: Power Of Incumbency Under A Threat? by dein77(op): 10:11am On Mar 19, 2015
I'm already looking at the political structure and future of Nigeria beyond 2015; that's where the main political framework that's being cropped up now will peak. To say the truth, I'm really happy and fulfilled seeing the current administration being forced to work really hard to curry the favour of the people. Its obvious it can no longer assume everything is under control. This is an example of the beauty of a formidable and virile opposition( though sometimes I view the APC as nothing more than a conspiracy more interested in grabbing power at all cost rather than a party determined to do more than the current PDP-led administration). This is how nations progress and move forward.

After the APC must have finished its campaigns, and given the momentum it carries- at least on social media, can we totally rule out the power of the incumbent? An APC victory will definitely bring a new twist to the power of the incumbent..or power of incumbency, and forge into the consciousness of our politicians that utmost performance and endearment to the people is the ONLY guarantee to a continue stay in the office. Isn't that beautiful?

The incumbent, in politics, is the current holder of a political office. In general, incumbents have structural advantages over challengers during elections. They have the instruments of state working for them; they have more funds, etc.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incumbent

Its my opinion, that despite the formidable opposition the APC is and has become, and despite its popularity and fame, it will be totally naïve to rule out the power of the incumbent!

What's your say? Do you agree?

FFK, El Rufai are going for any elected position, so this thread is pointless.

Whether APC has been using the quotes of the ever vacillating smooth-talking political harlot against the PDP is not the issue.

FOCUS ON THE ISSUE: WHO WILL MAKE A BETTER PRESIDENT? GEJ OR GMB?
Another progeny of anger! Didn't you pple say change is the only constant thing?

Its high time we started reading posts twice before we comment. IMHO, Barcanista is not saying El- Rufai is wrong for changing his views about Buhari, what he is trying to say is, APC should stop attacking those who left their camp to support Jonathan, because most of them were on Jonathan's side a while ago and against Buhari. Afterall, he(Barca) was once in the APC camp.
That's exactly the end to which this piece was written, but alas, the broom wavers will not accept. Barcanista is simply attacking the hypocrisy of the APC guys viz-a viz their attacks on both FFK and himself.

The children of anger are more ready to reply his piece rather than first seek to understand his message and reply appropriately. Their impatience with any dissenting voice is legendary!
