PoliticsRe: APC Promises One Million Jobs Through Coal-for- Electricity by dein77(m): 11:07am On Mar 18, 2015
mekaboy:
The world is asking countries who still use coal plants to shut down, due to the effect it has on our climate. The news for global warming is out there and other nations are complying. Now APC wants to introduce coal to destroy our weather.

Want us to live in extreme hot temperature. Others are planting trees to cushion the effect of global warming, buhari and APC wants to polute the air with coal.
Change can also be retrogressive. That's the kind the broom wavers are proposing.

Since it was immaterial the last election between both candidates, I don't think it should make any difference now.
This is 2015, 2011. Besides, you guys are the ones shouting change. Why continue to do the same thing over and over again?
PoliticsRe: Why I Refused To Debate With Jonathan – Buhari by dein77(m): 11:01am On Mar 18, 2015
nagoma:
Venting their anger and raising their temperatures because Buhari sees debate as waste of good campaign time now. They feel it's okay to ban card reader but want to make an optional debate compulsory. How do they even know that Jonathan will come out and debate? He is known to run and hide when there was such a debate in 2011.

GEJ a sonorous, monotonous dysarthric speaker prone to grammatical errors and gaffes. He is far from being an orator and with his abysmal and shameful records as president, any schoolboy can beat him flat in such a debate. But it's a waste of time for Buhari to engage in such optional trivialities of debates that have been shunned in the past by the same Jonathan.
Just grammar! Nothing more!

Na wa for TANoids!

If I may ask, why do you need Buhari to debate Jonadindinrin?

Is it because you need a platform for GEJ to grab some relevance? The General is not giving you a debate and nothing you van do about that.

I just love how APC is serving PDP their own dose of the bitter pill.

GMB 2015.
Bro, good morning. It is beyond GEJ seeking any kind of relevance. It's actually about GMB telling us how/ what he's got upstairs.

Most of support GEJ but our greatest loyalty lies WHATEVER needs to be done for the greater good of the country. It's his call to refuse the debate; it's ours to talk and analyse it. It's all for the progress of the nation.

We talk for development!

In my opinion, the debate is more about GMB that it is about GEJ. We gave already seen what's being done by the current administration; we need to hear from GMB what he intends to do for us and how he will go about it.

PoliticsBuhari & Debate: The Leopard Doesnt Change Its Spots! by dein77(op):
Its a well-known fact that the leopard never changes it spots neither the zebra its stripes. A despot forever remains one, and a tyrant is unbendable to a new set of rules-especially where he may not always have his way.

Buhari's recent claim to a 'converted democrat' can only sell to the broom wavers to have continued to see their candidate as both infallible and saintly. An average discerning mind wont buy into it! It doesn't resonate beyond the APC camp.

BUHARI'S MYRIADS OF REASONS FOR AVOIDING THE DEBATE

The latest excuse he gave for avoiding a debate with the current president, is one of the most ridiculous, redundant, childish and lame excuses I've heard anyone gave for avoiding an activity.

Mr. Buhari said he was not ready to participate in the presidential debate with President Goodluck Jonathan, standing for re-election as the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party.
He argued that there is no basis for debate since the record of the PDP and Mr. Jonathan in government is public knowledge.

Source: http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/178635-why-i-refused-to-debate-with-jonathan-buhari.html

The APC rejected a call from the NTA to attend the presidential debate. It declined by accusing the NTA of bias and compromise. That's wasn't difficult to understand. Next came a call from the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria( BON) to have Buhari participate in a presidential debate. As expected, he refuse. Another call was made from the Nigeria Elections Debate Group( NEDG). Again, he refused. ChannelsTV, nationally recognized for their professional, unbiased news coverage and reporting, also gave an opportunity for a debate, the converted democrat refused it. Does it mean all these other organizations are also pro-Jonathan, if they accuse the NTA of being such?

Granted, the presidential debate thing isn't a constitutional requirement, I believe it offers the privilege of millions of supporters to hear what their candidate has to offer. The manifesto of the APC is filled with promises of paradise and heaven on earth. What's wrong with its presidential candidate telling us in an hour or so how he intends to fix our complex system in 4 or so years, and how he intends to stabilize global oil prices? To me, Buhari's consistent refusal negates his lofty claims to a converted democrat, and by so doing, has missed an opportunity to convince others he can be subjected to the unwritten rules of the game. The APC and its supporters, as much as they support him, should be bold and mature enough to admit it whenever their candidate doesn't do well. That's patriotism. That's the REAL CHANGE.

Why is he running from a debate? I've listened to him spoke. He's an articulate and brilliant person. So why the fear? During his campaign rallies, he barely spoke beyond 5 minutes in each one. A debate will afford us much time to have him address most of the items raised in his manifesto; a 5-minute rally cant afford him that opportunity.

ALL IN ALL

The former coup plotter hasn't change a bit. If anything, he remains cocky and arrogant. I still will cling to my GEJ. The devil I know remains better than the saintly angel that's unknown. The leopard will never change its spots .No amount of washing, polishing and education can do that: its beyond the surface. Its what it is. Buyer beware!

PoliticsRe: Why I Refused To Debate With Jonathan – Buhari by dein77(m): 11:59pm On Mar 17, 2015
I'm not really surprised. It's justified our palpable fears that Buhari has nothing to offer. Anybody who truly has meaningful things to offer will most certainly jump at any given opportunity to explain to the people how he will change their lives.

Buhari's latest reason for refusing is one of the most ridiculous, redundant, dumb and arrogant reasons I've ever heard a person give for not doing somethin. Does the leopard change its skin or the zebra it's stripes? Certainly not!

First the APC said he wouldn't debate because the organisers have been compromised. Next, the APC has instead opted for town hall meetings where Prof Osinbajo will do almost all the talking before a contrived meeting comprising mainly it's supporters. Now, they are avoiding a debate cos GEJs performance is known to the public. Epic arrogance.

He can not change. He can't b converted democrat he's claiming; he remains a despotic leader who deeply detests submitting to a civilian government.

What are his fears? His forged certificate saga? He should have come to tell the nation how he intends to stabilise global oil prices!

A woman traffic hard drugs and when she is kill you blame buhari for being wicked. You have your certificate and yet you have never being interviewed by AIT. Buhari debated in 2011. Where was GEJ then?
I already told you he is known worldwide because he was a former dictator military president of Nigeria. That all. So Buhari was right in trying to have Dikko smuggled from the UK to stand trial for corruption charges?

PoliticsRe: Why I Refused To Debate With Jonathan – Buhari by dein77(m): 11:05pm On Mar 17, 2015
yagbaboy1:
The funny fact is all the edits calling Buhari an illiterate have never held the least position in any government, they are unknown to even their local community people. Buhari is a worldwide figure, universally known across all continents. Damm! If being an illiterate can make one this famous and respected worldwide, I never wish any one I know to be educated
I think you and your camp are not being fair here. Its not about people not knowing me in my community or village; that's not the issue here. The issue is a presidential candidate, who has promised to transform Nigeria into a paradise in 4 years, has consistently refused to come up to the podium and have a direct debate with the person whose office he now seeks to occupy. That's the issue here. Instead, he has hidden behind the eloquence and brilliance of his vice and then occasionally make speeches not more than two minutes long.

APC folks are not been fair and sincere here.

Buhari is popular because he was a onetime military president of the world's most populous black nation. Nothing more. He didn't do anything really worthy of all the accolades the media is heaping on him. If anything, he damaged our diplomatic relations with the UK due to his obvious role in the DIkko Affair.

I'm well known in my family, my church, my workplace and my community, and I have my certificate INTACT.

All we need him for his his sternness and his stand against corruption.

He will make sure technocrats of integrity like him will be selected to fit in to different proper positions to solve different technical problems.

All that matters is that they fear him, as the C in C and they know is will not compromise neither can he be held ransom because he would not have any skeleton in his cupboard .
