pazienza: Of course, and Biafra will gladly work with would be Niger deltans to see to that.
Just as we would be glad to see the Yorubas for once try to work for their Oodua republic, rather than being subtle one Nigerian apologists. Exactly!! Cos this entity called Nigeria is too large and diverse to be called a republic. This diversity is what's causing confusion every time |

pazienza: Apoi Ijaw and Arogbo Ijaw I believe are in Ondo state, and have been gradually "Yorubanized", did you hear Nnamdi say anything about Ondo state? No, because it's not a case to be discussed.
If they( Apoi Ijaw) decide to join their kin and kiths in the East, a referendum is always an option, if not, no problem. No love found, non lost. Actually our Niger Delta Republic would be a better option |

pazienza: Then let them do the disowning themselves, stop running about.
I find it strange that rather than put efforts towards forming and sustaining Oodua republic, Yorubas are more interested in dissipating their efforts in scuttling Biafran success. Why is this so?
You don't want to leave the mud, but you want Biafra to stay in the mud with you? This is quite silly from Oodua peeps. He's from Apoi-ijaw not oodua |

NoRetreat: I won't dismissed the story as untrue, I graduated from UNILAG, we were all reading at the old library at night, light went off and while waiting for NEPA to restore electricity we could not explained what happened to all of us! There was a sudden rush fom nowhere some were injured some were terrified that was the end of reading that night. It was later learnt that the spirit of Lagoon caused the panick AKT for those who know the library before the lagoon front. So, the story might be true, some guys were always seen at the lagoon at night during the exam. U didn't include those scary crabs that comes out of nowhere at that Lagoon front. Lol @ AKT most niggies go there to book seat for potential toasting @ night |

Education › PTDF Cancels Overseas Scholarship Scheme by dejavski(op): 12:53pm On Sep 05, 2015 |
The Petroleum Technology Development Fund has announced the cancellation of its overseas scholarship programmes for Nigerian graduates and undergraduates. This, it said, was part of its new policy direction, adding that it would fundamentally affect the operation and funding of its overseas scholarship scheme and other training programmes under the fund’s management. PTDF, in a statement issued by the Head, External Relations, Mr. Kalu Otisi, on Thursday, said the policy directions “include a partial or outright domestication of the scholarship scheme in Nigeria in line with the Local Content policy of the Nigerian government and the denomination of the scholarship in hard currency, as against the naira due to the volatility of foreign exchange rates.” To give effect to these policy shifts, the fund said it had opened up discussions with officials of foreign universities where Nigerian scholars were regularly sent for their Masters and Ph.D studies under the sponsorship of the PTDF. The discussion, it said, was on the possibility of either setting up branches of the foreign institutions in Nigeria or collaborate with local universities in Nigeria, particularly those whose oil and gas-related departments had been fully upgraded by the fund to become centres of excellence in teaching and research. The Executive Secretary, PTDF, Mr. Femi Ajayi, who held interactive sessions with officials of the Imperial College, London, and the University College, London, as well as Nigerian scholars, said such a partnership would henceforth form the basis for the fund’s future relationship and co-operation with universities providing training and research to its scholars abroad. He reportedly said, “This is because we have institutions in Nigeria which PTDF has over the years been upgrading. So, we want a situation where there will be more cooperation between universities out here and our universities back home. “And we have some faculties that we have developed or upgraded as agencies where some of these short-term and long-term courses can be run. So, we are discussing the various modes of partnership and collaboration towards moving along this line.” PTDF is a Federal Government agency which has the mandate of enhancing the institutional capacities of universities offering oil and gas-related courses cc lalalastica Ishilove http://www.punchng.com/news/ptdf-cancels-overseas-scholarship-scheme/ |
