Politics / Nigerians Blast Chicken Republic For Mocking Olisah Metuh With Sinister Advert by dejavski(m): 5:04pm On Jan 25, 2016
A popular fast food joint, Chicken Republic has come under intense criticism for making mockery of the embattled PDP Spokesman, Olisa Metuh in a new advert.

Many people have reacted angrily to the mock advert by a leading Nigerian fast food joint who used the trial of Olisa Metuh by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for its publicity stunt.
Writing on its official twitter handle, Chicken republic tweeted an ad on their official twitter page;

Why eat your words when you can eat our meals and Special delivery for Olisa with an EFCC logo on the ad.

The ad was making mockery of Metuh who was alleged to have torn and swallowed his own statement made to the EFCC. However, he denied ever doing such a thing.
Many Nigerians took to twitter to express shock and disgust at how Chicken Republic could use such opportunity to taunt a man under trial.

Hello!.

I've just confirmed it! The book is called Tobit, not Tobias.

I also found 3 more books:

The book of 1st Maccabees.

The book of 2nd Maccabees.

The book of Schadrach.

That's nice...will do a li research on it sometime
Religion / Re: Why Was The Book Of Enoch Removed From The Bible? by dejavski(m): 1:26pm On Dec 27, 2015
musicwriter:
The book of Enoch was DELETED to conceal the race of the REAL Hebrews/Israelites who were Ethiopians.

Not only the book of Enoch, but actually many books were removed. The original bible contained 80 books, not 66 books. Below are some of the 14 books of Apocryphal removed from Bible:-

The book of Enoch.
The book of Jubilees.
The book of Thomas.
The book of Jasher
Songs of the three children.
The book of Jehu
The book of Nathan the prophet.

For example; The book of Jasher was mentioned at: 2 Samuel 1: 17-18 KJV.
Yet, the book itself is not found in the current bible!. These deleted books contains the origin of the black race, that could trace the original Hebrews/Jesus Christ/Israelites, e.t.c back to Africa.

Still researching on the rest, and will get them soon.

Facts about Jesus Christ, like his race and his ancestors was grossly distorted
by the Roman Empire, during the renaissance era (1300 –1700 century), specifically during the papacy of Pope Alexander VI. Before this period even part of Europe worshipped black Christ who was gaining massive converts. You can see it was a threat to Rome.

1. Jesus Christ was a Blackman, not a white man.
2. His real name was Yehoshua or Yeshua for short.
3. In fact, the Jewish religion that birthed Christianity originated from
Ethiopians.
4. Adam and Eve were black people, cause human life began in Africa.
e.t.c.

The church and the whole world have been fooled via western education that
carries only European perspectives to African history.

NB: I made a song about it, Google "the lost history" by Africason. Or wait till
January 10th to get it on iTunes, amazon, e.t.c.

a). The lost history.
b). Jesus Christ was a Blackman.

There is one book of tobias if am right?

Because of influences from the neighboring Benin empire. That isn't too hard to figure out.
two neighboring groups can not live that close to each other without exchanging ideas.
there are examples of Bini cultural imports as far away as Lagos and Ado Ekiti, so this is not a phenomenon limited to Ilaje people.
I was doing one research and I came across one in which our former olugbo(mafimisebi) claimed that the binis borrowed the title from us and that we r the original owners. To much controversies in our histories in this part of the world.

U can do that research on ur own later

Why do you want to be Bini so bad?
Hian!

Even within Edo there are many other ethnic groups who are NOT binis and who wouldn't want to be one either.
Just saying my own though.

I don't want to be Bini so bad. I just want to know why we share similar monarchial ruling system. There has to be something somewhere that hasn't been clarified on this matter

I just don't know what to say to this!
Do you live in Ondo state at all? Because all this tradition/cultures are no different from the Ondo kingdom, Ile-oluji/Okeigbo etc, only Akure, Akoko people differs a bit! Even Ekiti axis are no different from Ilaje! In fact, the Akoko people are more closer to the bini and their tradition vastly differs from the Ilaje!
Ondo kingdom in particular celebrates Umale and Aiyelala! As a matter of fact, they always say if aiyelala's curse descend on an individual, the said individual's stomach becomes big!
That being said, the said monarchy system is also no different! How does 'Amapetu', Onikan et al sounds bini?
You are the one having serious comprehension issue here.... I mentioned it before that the Yoruba clans similar to the Ilaje culture and traditions are the southeastern yorubas . Tell me where these cultures are celebrated in oyo, osun kwara
You have not said anything as regards the bolded monarchial system I highlighted though

Who are the southeastern yorubas?
Ijebus ikales ilajes Ekitis Ondos owos
As regards the bini ties? Yes! The ilajes have historical ties with the binis

There's very little unique to Yoruboid groups when compared with others. . Not that there's non o. But we have interacted so much that you can easily find something among at least 2 yoruba subgroups

Olu-ugbo is unique? That's a throne heavily tied with Obamakin of Ife.

Aside from olu-ugbo.
But the rest sounds edoid in my opinion. I think the link between yorubas and binis might be the Ilajes

Why don't you tell us Ilaje's culture and traditional belief that differs from the fellow Yorubas!

FESTIVITIES

Though the Ilaje are scattered in various places along the coastal lines, at various times of the year, they all returnto their home base in Ondo to celebrate some of their festivals, which include: masquerading (the Umale festival), Malokun (a fertility festival for the goddess of the sea), regatta and periodically, the Epo (Raffia-costumed masquerade), which was used to scare the people of Ife before the Moremi saga.
During these celebrations, there is the uniquely polyphonic renditions of both the Biripo traditional music and the Ilaje spirituals of the Zion Christian sect.
They also offer supplications to great river goddess known as Aiyelala a a place called "ita aiyelala"

MONOARCHIAL SYSTEM

Ugbo is the major town in Ilaje land and is under the paramount ruler known as the OLU-UGBO of ugbo.
Beside ugbo, there are three other major clans,These include Mahin, Aheri and Etikan. Aheri is presided over by the Maporure and Etikan is headed by the Onikan of Etikan while Ugbo is headed by the Amapetu of Mahin.
The other royal titles include:
Oliha - The Chief Priest
Ologbosere - The King Maker
Iyasere - The King's Spokesperson/Second in command

cool Where did he say Itshekiris are related to Yorubas? The Igalas and Ewes of Ghana are Yoruboid groups as well, so are they also HIS people? Saying there is a similarity in language and saying Yorubas are my people are two different things. He should provide a post where he states that Itshekiris are related to Yorubas.

U just said it at the bolded. The yoruboid group is large and diverse. Too much clans under this group. Most times some of these clans are unable to express themselves on their own due to the fact that they fall under a larger group which speak on behalf of the minor clans. I understand what he's trying to say there. It's understandable if some clans decides to be on their own. I am not against that. You should also note that at a time before the invasion of the whites every clan was bearing it's own identity. Nothing like "Yoruba Tribe" in the 16th century. The Yoruba tribe ideology was meant to unite these clans together in harmony

Was thinking of Some connection b/w Ilaje and Itsekiri this morning , Although I see so many Similarities but I still see some Differences between them.

Itsekiri Itsekiri are people of The Niger Delta , They speak a language very similar to Ilaje and Yoruba , Making them one of the key branch of the Yoruboid language. The Itsekiri presently number just over a million people and live mainly in the Warri South , Warri North and Warri South West local government districts of Delta State on the Atlantic Coast of Nigeria . Significant communities of Itsekiris can be found in parts of Edo and Ondo states.

It doesn't concern me what his opinion is, as long as he is consistent. He cannot say today that the Yorubas are his people today, then tomorrow he comes here and says he his tribe is not related to the Yorubas. Can't eat your cake and have it.
