Politics › Re: Voting For Jonathan Is A Sign Of Insanity by deji68: 2:35pm On Mar 25, 2015 |
and your view is a sign of extremism.... NewsHub: A great man defined insanity as "doing the same thing over and expecting a different result".
If we are to analyse this definition and relate it to the forth coming general elections, we would understand better what it means to be insane.
Watch this!
President Jonathan has been the president for about 6 years now without any meaningful 'transformation' yet somebody still wants that to continue while expecting a different result Now that is insanity!!!
The outgoing president just presented his vision for another four years "if" voted in. Now i ask myself and fellow reasonable normal Nigerians one question.
Should the president be talking about vision at this time No! What he should be telling us is how he intends to build on a working vision. We should be talking about vision accomplishment and not setting of visions.
I know one of the Jonathanians would say while presenting the vision he made a statement that his plans is to build on the platform he has laid.
Very good! But the issue is there are no platforms. The only available platforms are massive corruption, unemployment, high degree of cluelessness and visionlessness, an untamed "Shipoppotamus" as wife, a Femi Fani Kayode that talks from both sides of his mouth, a platform where "stealing is not corruption", crippling economy, inflation, dollar sharing for votes, sharing billions to touts and militants, etc.
The truth is President Jonathan dissappointed Nigerians. He could have achieved a lot if he had a vision four years ago.
The measurement of performance in governance is a plot of achievement against available resources.
Now it is possible that President Jonathan is a good man, but in terms of performance he has failed. It is his abysmal performance that gave strength to the opposition...i tell you the truth if Jonathan had performed APC and Buhari wouldn't have gotten this level of acceptance.
I have made up my mind to vote Buhari and i challenge any supporter of President Jonathan to give me just 2 reasons why i should vote Jonathan. I have had meaningful conversations with some people where i offerd the same challenge but non has been able to come up with anything.
So i have decided to use my PVC to send GEJ #Back2Otuoke because i can't be planning to continue with the same thing yet expecting a different result. That would be insanity.
I call on Jonathanians to convince me otherwise with sensible reasons and not with insults like FFK and Fayose. |

Splendid... dearpreye: I'm still seriously laughing. Nothing can be more pleasurable than watch a people given a taste of their own medicine. That's the position the APC and its supporters are in at the moment.
This is election period; propaganda and lies are even more common than green grass.
The APC and its supporters are working tirelessly to ensure the masses understand that Mrs Buhari was quoted out of context. They're afraid such a misrepresentation of words can be fatal to their Edo state campaign, and may ultimately result in their losing Edo state in the forthcoming elections. Actually, its very painful to have one's words twisted and quoted out of context, with the demonic intent of using same words to taunt and smear whoever said them. Its an unfortunate situation, but that's the way it works!
That's where I come in!
STEALING IS NOT CORRUPTION
I believe no single statement or sentence has done more damage to the President than these words. I watched that media chat myself, and couldn't believe what I heard. I wondered why Mr President spewed those word. This statement estranged scores of persons form the camp of the President. Even when he recently claimed to have been quoted out of context, nobody was interested.
Despite my anger at those words, especially when its common knowledge that corruption is the bane of this nation, I tried to look beyond those words to actually understand what GEJ had in mind; his words may have betrayed his intent. He was simply quoted out of context! He may have tried to differentiate between corruption and stealing' but he missed it. And till today, very few are dispassionate enough to look beyond those words and see what he had in mind. CORRUPTION IS THE MAIN PROBLEM OF NIGERIA!
Once I understood that intent, my perception of that sentence changed. Trust our media; they blew it out of proportion, and rightly so, and the broom wavers went mad with it. Till date, you hardly see a day pass here without an APC supporter dropping that line. Today, Mrs Buhari was quoted out of context, and they are wiling to attack and quarrel anyone who rightly lampoons her for those words. Words are powerful; once misconstrued, very difficult to put in perspective. The APC is feeling the agony PDP supporters including me, feel whenever STEALING IS NOT CORRUPTION is dropped.
BISHOP OYEDEPO & THE GATES OF HELL
This was another talk that was abused, twisted and used effectively by the APC goons. I didnt even have to watch the video before believeing Pst Oyedepo COULDNT have said HE WOULD OPEN THE GATES OF HELL ON THOSE WHO OPPOSED GEJ's REELECTION BID. It wasnt just possible. A pastor of his calibre, who is ever conscious of his words, couldn't have uttered that. The APC folks would have none of it. Even when I told my APC friends it was not possible for Oyedepo to have said it, they dismissed it, and further went to denigrate and attack the person of the Man of God. His words were twisting by one APC supporter, and it went viral. The man of God didnt even bother to reply the attacks. Trust him for that! Oyedepo wasnt even quoted in context per see; he was lied against, and it went viral.
CONCLUSION
If the APC and its supporters werent mature and patient enough to have really understood these two persons, but instead went viral with them, and shared and shared these words with fellow supporters, why do they expect the average PDP supporter to believe Mrs. Buhari was quoted out of context? They are being paid in their own coin, and given a teaspoon of their own medicine. Thats the way it works. Its called Karma, and she is NOT affiliated to any party. They should deal with it: Buhari will put an end to Edo state Prostitution! A very good agenda, I must say. |

After series of negotiation and payment of $407.3 million,[5] The Federal Government of Nigeria handed over Egbin Thermal Power Plant to the core investor, a joint venture between Sahara Power Group and KEPCO, on the 1st of November, 2013.[6] The first attempt to privatising Egbin Power plant was in May 2007 when KEPCO Energy Resources offered to pay $280 million to acquire 51 per cent shares of the company. As a confirmation of their interest KEPCO paid $28 million, being the initial payment of 10 per cent of the bid price. As a result of unresolved issues, such as power purchase and gas supply agreement, the process was halted. In 2013, as a continuity of the 2007 agreement between the FGN and KEPCO, the South Korean power company, was granted approval to acquire additional 19 per cent of the plant at a new evaluation cost. National Council on Privatisation (NCP) approved the transaction while the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) handled the sale process. BPE set a deadline for the payment of $407.3 million (about N63.95 billion), which was the new price at which 70% of the plant was valued.[7] Rehabilitation of Unit[edit] The rehabilitation of Unit Six (ST-06) in Egbin, Which suffered a boiler tube explosion in 2006, began in November, 2014 and was completed in January, 2015.[8] This rehabilitation restored the plant back to its full capacity of 1320MW and was carried out by Hitachi.Korea Electrical Power Nigeria Limited currently serves as a technical partner to Sahara Power Group, with goal of overhauling all the units in the plant, while achieving 85 per cent power availability and 34 per cent efficiency.[9] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egbin_Thermal_Power_Station |
