My experienced living in Northern Nigeria. I am not here to bash any tribe or trying to cause tribal attack but to state my experiences living in Northern part of Nigeria in order to help anyone coming to Northern part of the country for the first time, because life in the Sothern part is totally different to that of Northern part. 1. Hausa people believed that their language and culture is superior to yours, as a result they expect you to understand their language by all means. 2. Able to speak Hausa language can get you solve some issues as a student in school, or get favors in public establishments. 3. No matter who you are, religion is one of the factor in dealing with you, they consider their tribe, religion above merit. 4. No matter how religious you are as a Muslim, if you are not Hausa/Fulani they can never pray behind you as a Imam. There are many Hausa/Fulani mosques and other tribes’ mosques in the same location they pray separately at the same time at the same location. 5. Hausa/Fulani houses are out of bound (BAA SHIGA), as a visitor you can’t enter, you must make a big shout or send a little kid to call whoever you want to see. 6. If you must attend Hausa/Fulani occasion eat before you leave your house, because food may not be serve, or serve without meat and spoon, this is the standard to both rich and middle class Northerners. 7. Hausa/Fulani married women doesn’t greet men, even if you are their neighbor, in short greeting is not important. Your Neighbor’s children can hardly greet you. 8. As a teacher you don’t dare beat their children in school, if you try it the parent will come and flog you, school authority either private or public will do nothing about it. 9. Northerner support their fellow Northerners even when wrong, you can never get justice even at their courts as a southerners. 10. Life in Northern part can be boring, but chances of getting private organization job is not competitive like southern part. Northerners love govt jobs, they see private organization jobs as stressful and demanding. 11. Northerners hardly school outside their region, they mostly redeploy back to North during NYSC scheme. |

[quote author=dairykidd post=54713023][b]Bros Ike,i really believe you sincerely love your wife and you don't want to accept the fact that she's cheating on you with her boss..Yes bros i said it "she's cheating big time".I may not be married yet but trust me i have dated all manner of ladies from saints to demons young, old & older.I do not know how you treat your wife in private or in public but Let me make it real simple for you: The first mistake you made was to allow her keep the/accept the phone that the other man bought for her;she doesn't even respect/ have any regards for you else she would not have accepted the phone. You assumed "it will make the official communication between them more easier" the mother of all fvck ups. Secondly you noticed the body languages anytime she's on the phone with him..brosss you dated her now before she became wifey you should already know even from her tone. Thirdly she lied to your face..damn she's wicked and most cheating wives/ladies are bad liars if you are quick witted to discern the words they use;okay you saw the baaby/dear message clearly now look at what she did to you when you confronted her: i)she said he calls all female staffs his baaby and ii)she also said that the message wasn't meant for her but was a mistake Okay if (i) is correct why did she have to explain further and try to cover up as it would have made more sense to me that he calls all female staffs baaby..Or If the message truly wasn't for her she would have said so in the first place to build a good defense and stop blabbing about trying to educate you on her boss's office ethics. Fourthly believe me bro they(women) stammer, stutter, fidget and act oddly super nice when they fear of being found out. Fifth so he discusses his marital affairs with all his female staffs too Bros you be married man oo but try use your head right, think fast (no insults)...cos if by now you still don't know, you will never know. Work it out if you can cos from your post you seem to be lost in love with someone who has no love lost for you..women are very dangerous when in this situation so watch your self cos you are on your own..but if you cant work things out then just do the needful and save your life. Its all in front of you,all you need to do is choose a direction to navigate your ship. |

To be out of job is a terrible experience.Friends and family desert you very quickly. I was out of job for close to 3 yrs jumping from 1 odd job to another to avoid begging anyone for anything because I hate begging.I did sales Boy in Indomie store to Labourer at construction site.Immediately I landed a job I didn't tell those that deserted me.It was a terrible n pathetic experience, my phone hardly ring for weeks even up till now if not frm my new colleagues n clients. Just be prayerful and don't limit your hustling, My Good lord will open way for those that are looking for job in Jesus name. |
