This isn't my first time of reading topics like this on NL , well my piece of advice is this , there is nothing you want to start doing that no one else has ever done before but one thing that can make you stand out is your uniqueness interms of packaging , neatness and choosing your location is very important .....don't mix too much color , if you do don't make it look local,make it comfortable when customer need to queue get entertainment , political magazines on regular basis .....you need to explore by going to lovely barbers shop around before setting up urs , look at what they they do that you don't like , also look at what they do that motivate u abt their biz ....put all this together before starting urs , also customer care service is very important , create close relationship with your customer , outward look of your shop is very important this will call in new customers , add swags , there is a guy I used to know in FUTA (paulo) owner of B-clean barbers shop , this guy has more than 100brushes , changes the inner look of his shop every session , has diff barbers cover cloth design in USA flag , carmoflagh , etc .....lest I forget you said something about using CC to buy , I hope it is yours and not what I am thinking , if it is my brov I use God beg u desist from it , if you buy anytin in that shop in a fraudulent way prosperity is far from the biZ no be cause !
Just my little piece of advice .....take the one useful for u and throway the one u dnt like and still see me as your brother.

I am happy for you because you are ready to give it a trier but I will advice you to do more research on your target (customer) dnt just listen to what they tell u they want , ofcourse you should know they will mention good designers from USA , UK etc but how many of them wear it or can afford it ? So you wouldn't end up using your money to buy and they fail to pick it due to high price.....the market is so saturated with diff quality and diff prices , you will even get copied product coming from USA and UK so you need to be careful , and I bet with you , you will always learn something everyday in this business , you will even be surprise where some pple get their stock from because they will even sell lower than your cost price.....I wudnt elaborate on that , so knowing your target and how much they can afford on a quality shirt , shoe etc is very important. Above all you are the no1 factor in this business work on yourself , create target for yourself, learn to make new friends , be customer friendly,don't give up on your customer easily , study them and give good compliment abt what they are putting on let them know you are in the business and you know when you see good fashion ......this really work for me on my female client , they buy well but the ugly part of it is when they owe me , with joke , beg and little quarrel is how I get paid and I tend to still apologize for getting my money the way I did and send new month messages , prayers etc to them. The idea is great but I think environment is a great factor which will determine the speed of the growth of the business , you need to carefully select your location and target your customer and also your look and packaging is very important , this is a home made product with no NAFDAC approval so your look should be able to assure your customer that its well prepared in a clean way , carefully select your colors when doing your branding , be attractive and friendly.

Cool concept tho , just looking at the practical aspect ......hmmm

mayorall: Eyah. They must have thought you undervalued it. Mail DHL and tell them its not real gold that is panda, its just gold plated not gold filled talk less of real gold. If they are not serious with it, tell them to return it to where it came from, I am sure they won't do that. Contact me after all this, gonna give you dhl custom phone number. Bro....dnt say its not possible neither is it a typo error.....200$ (33,000naira) and told to pay 34,000......I still have the goods in their custody now. I only ordered for earrings , necklace and rings.

In my opinion I will say u shud introduce a relay which will switch between the inbuilt charger from the inverter and the solar cell ....once there is power from PHCN or generator(ON) , the switch controlling the solar will be open (OFF) but once there is no power from PHCN or gen (OFF) then the switch from the solar cell closes (ON)

I don't have any biz idea for you but I will just only let you know that the fact that you are a teacher doesn't guarantee you to do well in running a school business. You may have passion and be skillful in teaching and not good in the school business in terms of management .....please think twice before you quit your teaching job for ur personal school or better still learn how to run school business in the school which you are before setting up your own.

So because I send someone to come to check how genuine and real you are and to you check how durable your goods are , all you have to do is to say you are disappointed because the person is not buying and moreso that you are not selling at the discussed price despite the fact that you are the one that doesn't have most of this thing you promised in stock.
