@Toks2008,I'm always on nairaland but I really don't comment much, that being said, I'll like to crave the indulgence of the people here to say something.

I've been following this thread since it started and I can categorically say I now know few things about some people on this thread,(the way you write reveals your personality).

Udysweet has been wonderful, sparkles003 is great, and the guys are quite wonderful too,, and siama, I don't even have the adjective to describe her, she's the definition of maturity and wisdom.

But Mr Toks2008, you need to loosen up a bit like someone earlier advised, as an elderly man, apply diplomacy with your speech, its not about you being scared of anybody or not, but you need to pass your message across to other people without hurting their feelings or stirring up emotions, hence, the need to be diplomatic, you might eventually become a public figure in the future, thats when the media reads meaning to everything you say, you know what I mean.

But without mincing words, you've done a great job so far since the inception of this thread, I won't take that away from you. I know I'm not in the capacity to advise you but sir, we learn everyday irrespective of age,gender,location or whatever.

Finally, pls I will like to suggest (cos I heard you don't advise elders, you only suggest, lols) You mr Toks2008 and siama bury the hatchet, forget the little banters and make up, you are matured guys and you've influenced a lot of people here in no small measure. Thats my humble submission.

Mopolchi: Don't confuse people, read well before answering. The question was referring to Senate and not State House of Assembly. Coming to your answer, a woman has been and still a Speaker in Anambra State House of Assembly.

You are actually the confused one here cos there's no correlation btw your response and the post abt ebonyi's house of assembly/chidyhels post, FYI,,,, ebonyi's speaker of house of assembly was impeached ystday and replaced with a woman, and you are here talking abt Anambra and NASS. In summary, what emilishady is trying to say is that ebonyi has a female speaker for the first time.

As far as many pastors are concerned, the most important scripture of all is not to be found in the word of Jesus. Neither is it even in the New Testament. This scripture is drummed repeatedly into Christians on Sundays.

However, the only time Jesus mentioned tithing in scripture, he pointed out that it was not a weighty matter of the law. (Matthew 23:23). Hebrews says people only receive tithes “according to the law.” (Hebrews 7:5). It then insists tithing (and everything else under the law) has been annulled: “The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless.” (Hebrews 7:18-19). Nevertheless, mercenary pastors continue to insist on the payment of tithes.
