i booked on Monday and I was given on the 18th of this month. Just be patient and wait for their response this week.

someone on this tread had the same issue. It's a sad one to hear as pre-enrollment may be denied. You can read through the previous pages. Don't take my word for it. You can give it a shot.

MOE (only educational docs) and MFA (all docs) Abuja will authenticate both originals and photocopies. The Consulate will authenticate photocopies already authenticated by MOE and MFA.

Do I need my waec certificate for pre-enrollment at the embassy? because I got this email from the embassy with respect to a scholarship program I applied to:

The documents required for pre-enrolment are:



1- Two photographs (white background).

2- Original certificate of the final academic qualification duly legalized from the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and translated into Italian language.

3- Acceptance letter from the University in Italy (Lettera di ammissibilità).

Hello guys, please I need information. I got to the consulate today, there was a mistake of date of birth on WAEC, however I do use an Affidavit. The consulate said they cannot take the affidavit and WAEC says it will take 6-9 months for another certificate.

For those that haven't legalised their documents means you are applying for self funding right (SINREM). Please if you are about to start legalizing your documents I will advise you to be fast about it. Don't forget to take along with you your means of identification to the Ministry of Education else you will end up like me going back to Kogi to pick it up. The faster you are the better for you. Remember that it takes five working days for them to give it to you at the Belgium Embassy and its either you apply on Tuesdays or Thursdays by 9a.m - 10 a.m. ( Don't carry your ATM card oo cos you are paying in cash). Legalisation is per document not pages.. What you are legalising is just your transcript and degree cert only which is #8400 * 2 , do the maths.
For those that haven't done theirs certify the photocopies your degree certificate and transcript at the same time and match to Abuja to authenticate your waec, transcript and degree cert. at the ministry of education then later ministry of foreign affairs.

My transcript is 8 pages and my degree one page. From what I read at the Belgian embassy notice board. Which also states legalization per page and not per document. I read it myself at the Belgian embassy in Abuja. Do u have anyone that legallised at the Belgian embassy?

I don't think you need to legalize your transcripts and if need be, the front page will be enough.

so I would have preferred also.
But the site says otherwise. Nigerians were even subjected to much more strict condition because they said we send a lot of fake documents. This means that for countries like Nigeria, Cameroon, and Ghana, we still have to go back to our school to send a copy of our transcript and diploma before your documentation process is seen as complete. From my calculations almost #200k is needed for this whole process. It is too expensive and stressful
