pc guru:
Neccesarily doesn't have to be a Database,obviously sharing Database with a third party is a No-No,Seun can create some sort of Web API,that'll sit in the middle between the Database and the App,just like the REST API for Twitter,u know that return each stuff in JSON,just a mini app with reply and send thats all.abi am a wrong.
interesting, kind of minds I would like to know.
ProgrammingRe: Please What Really Is Object Oriented Programming. by dellnet: 2:19pm On Jun 09, 2011
lol! let me try and see if you can get it but not in pidgin though.

Think of OOP as programming an object, an object is any real world thing for example lets take a car.

class car
{
//method/functions
void speedup();
void slowdown();
void stop();
//etc

//properties
int engine;
int wheel;
int shift;
}

A real car (V-Boot) has method to accelerate, decelerate etc as this little class above illustrate. Then there are properties of a car for example color, engine, wheel, gearbox etc. The concept here is instead of programming a car by using procedure methods, you look at a car as an object and implement just about anything a car has or can do. This will make your programming task a whole lot easy. So the essence of OOP is software engineering and re-usability, you can create software that mimic a real object through OOP. I will not use any programming jargon here but keep in mind this your car, because it is a vehicle, can inherit features of other vehicle like features of boat, airplane etc. So you see how good a concept of engineering is OOP?

ProgrammingRe: C#.net Vs Vb.net Vs F# by dellnet: 2:22am On Jun 07, 2011
According to Microsoft performance is the same, the only difference is syntax. This is true because the languages are dependent on .net framework.

You need his database
Impossible. In fact I am thinking of encrypting any database I will deploy to the internet so even the host companies cant use my data.
ProgrammingRe: Learning C++ And Dreamweaver by dellnet: 4:17pm On Jun 06, 2011
You need all. If your brain can take all simultaneously go ahead. C++ can/will come in- handy when you are deep into web development for example it will be a flash to code in php, and JavaScript even if you have never done it before. You can also use C++ to extend your web applications for cgi apps etc but this is on advance level and cgi is somewhat obsolete now. Picture C/C++ as a language that builds languages.

I think when airtel used to be zain or celtel they provided on their website companies that can help you offer this service. I don't know if it is still on airtel website, a browse through should let you know or call up the useless customer care.

ProgrammingRe: Vb.net Calculator by dellnet: 3:58pm On Jun 06, 2011
When you say single event handler, I don't know if there is a standard to map all events in VB.NET application to one handler, I have never come across such. Unless you mean map to a single function or sub.
ProgrammingRe: Deployment In Vb.net Please Urgent Help by dellnet: 12:11pm On Jun 03, 2011
I would suggest using Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0 and setting a path. This is the simplest. However, put the access database in the same path as your application start up path.

yeah but not with linear method.
ProgrammingRe: Dilemma: Programming Or Telecoms by dellnet: 11:45am On May 26, 2011
Depends on the language you will be using. For something "unmanaged" language like C, pascal, FORTRAN, MASM you will need time these are usually languages without redundant library, I would say about 2 years to master it all.
For managed language like VB, C#, Java, Delphi, python etc you can get a good grip within 3 months.
ProgrammingRe: Simple Code Challenge: C#, Java, C, C++ by dellnet: 11:30am On May 26, 2011
This code challenge is not valid in computer science. There is no how to use linear method to solve this problem as it states.

Great posts Dell net very insightfull. Thailand seems like a very awefull place shocked . . Did you have any fun there at all?
Yes, in every new thing there is always that chivalry but then when I got to realize the norms, habits and perception of thais it was not fun any more. For example you as a foreigner there is a special charge for you in some services. They have this special way of conning you to settle in but then again it is all going to be hell. They don't have this "one mind one heart thing", you may be having a normal conversation with someone and the next minute the person will go mentally crazy. This place is for low life cheap scums looking for cheap tourist destination or life, if you are evil you will perfectly fit in here.
