Love binds two souls together, today I came across a picture of a beautiful couple on social media, the picture was a wedding photo of two young couples alongside the picture they took together while in secondary school.

The picture drew a lot of attention from media users,as they could not help but congratulate the couple. But amidst all congratulatory messages, I drew a very important moral lesson from that picture,the lesson is not far from the test of time in relationships. Yes,gold and silver are tested in fire to make them look as attractive as they look,so too a good relationship should stand the test of time.

The couple above kept faithful to each other right from their secondary school days up to the moment they got married, but the question in today's relationships is can they stand the test of time? Can they still keep faithful and wait?

But anyways, the best thing to do is to always put our future spouses in prayers,that God in His infinite mercy would grant them the ability to wait for us as well as grant us that same grace to able to wait for ours,this is because, very few people are lucky to find their better halves early in life, and the above couple are a wonderful example.

PEP definitely has side effects. I took it for 1 whole month following a needle prick from HIV infected patient. That 1 month was the worst of my life. Some people have had serious adverse reaction to the drugs and we're hospitalised for it. If ur immune system is intact, the meds is harder on u.

This is about the first story I'll be posting here, so please pardon my typo and I'll try to make it a short one.

I met this girl about four years ago and we started dating immediately (she was 20). She was a good person but I had no deep emotional feelings for her. She even got a customized Man United Jersey for me.. The first birthday gift I ever had.

Fast forward to December 2018, I decided to break up with her becos I met someone else whom I thought I would settle down with but that relationship turned out be my worst nightmare (story for another day). By January 2020 I decided I've had enough and quitted, then I reached out to my ex and mended things with her cos she never offended me and I didn't want to be lonely.

Our relationship was mainly sexual.. Sometimes without protection.

Fast forward, mid May 2020 she sent me a message asking when last I did an HIV test and I told her since August last year (a lie). I called her immediately and tried to know why she asked and she confessed that she has been diagnosed HIV positive since late last year and she has been battling with her conscience since we came back and started having unprotected sex.

Initially, I was very furious with her and myself. How could I make such a silly mistake?... How could I be so gullible as to trust a girl merely by her looks? She called, messaged and begged that I should forgive her but I told her to give me some space for the time being.

I became so scared of going for a test until last month (September) when I decided to meet her. We spoke at length and I was more traumatized when she told me that she wasn't in any sexual relationship since our break up in 2018... She thought I infected her. I was also confused because aside catarrh I've not treated even malaria since the beginning of this year. In fact since August last year I was only diagnosed with malaria and typhoid.

Conclusively, I decided to go with her to the hospital to conduct the test yesterday October 19, 2020. I prayed for a second chance as i waited anxiously in the Lab reception.

Finally, the doctor called me and told me the test result. Wow.. What a relief, I thank God Almighty for a second chance. I know HIV is not the end of the world, but what I feared the most and for most people out there is the stigma.

AND FOR MY NOW EX... I'll Like to sit down with her in order to know the truth. I want to know how she contracted HIV.

Hey all, so I have been on this crazy and interesting forum for a long time. I have seen many guys and very few ladies create topics on "Searching for a true relationship" on nairaland. Some of them have been trolled at and even insulted by both guys and ladies, who question the rationale behind coming to a faceless forum to seek for a serious relationship.
Truth is that, I have been indifferent to such posts. But here I am, about to follow their lead!

I feel she is getting tired of her environment. I totally understand how she feels. Humans generally attribute a certain accomplishment to different age bracket (which isn't right btw). More often than not , you hear things like My 22 I should be through with schooling.... By 24/25 I should be married...By 30, I should have stopped giving birth etc


Life is not like that my sister. What works for Ms A may not work for Ms B. We all have our different race to run in this world. Most times , nor be who first start dey first reach finish line o. There are are cases of people married and doing well at 23, but childless until 34. There are also cases of people suffering, single and searching up till 33. But immediately they got married , everything turned around, money, kids and all.

Just serve God, do what's right and at the right time, everything will fall into place.

Like someone rightly pointed out, the man seems like an irredeemable cheat that only wants to give a dog a bad name, in order to hang it. A room and sitting room is "enough" for a husband and wife to manage for the time being if they want to do Karewa or want their little privacy. At least, you can sleep in the sitting room if them blood dey hot.

I would suggest you give them their space and let's see if he would truly change like he said. Then, you can judge him. Do not give him reason(s) to say you are the clog in the will of his marital progress.

Me na manage I dey manage o. You fit come stay with me for the time being if you are in lag and stay on the mainland. Or better yet, go with any female friend of yours or any from Nairaland where you can be comfortable. Marriage life get as e be nowadays o. People are just managing.

I wouldn't want you to be regarded as an obstacle in your sister's home, because trust me, God forbid, if it crashes, she will still point accusing fingers at you. Please leave now that they seem to have "settled" and observe them from afar.
