Candidate Requirements.

• Must be a Female.
• Minimum of four (4) years’ relevant working experience in Oil and Gas Industry as an Accounting or finance related function
• A First Degree in Finance (or certification in corporate Finance), and/or Accounting.
• A Post graduate or Master’s degree in a related field is an added advantage
• Membership of ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or CFA is required
Skills and Experience:
• Financial services industry knowledge
• Knowledge of Accounting Standards and regulations (GAAP/IFRS etc.)
• Working knowledge of financial control and analysis
• Expertise in Financial & Management Accounting
• Expertise in research, data gathering and numerical analysis
• Demonstrates expertise in Financial Analysis, Interpretation and reporting
• Excellent communication Skills (Oral & Written)
• Demonstrates expertise in technical financial report writing
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel

It's unfortunate though, but that is the reality in our country. At times I feel education in Nigeria is overrated, because after all the stress and time wasted in school, one will still need to struggle to get a good paying job after graduation.

I was paid 5k a week as a fresh graduate. Today, I'm grateful to God that I took the offer, because the experience I got from that job was all I needed to climb up the ladder in my industry and earning well.
The problem with most graduate is that they don't want to start small. Everybody wants to take home fat salary without any experience, its possible though but very difficult.
