Chibuzor who was sacked in 2011 because of corruption levelled against him. He was replaced by another Rivers indigene to complete the tenure of his predecessor since the four year tenure has not elapse. They are both from the same LGA (ONELGA)

[b]I dont blame these states per se but the constitution and the refusal of Jonathan to initiate the necessary constitutional changes that will make the states much more reliance. A situation where all resources especially natural resources gotten from these states will have to go to abuja first is ridicoulous. Even at that, the FG eats up the bulk of the total income.

The constitution is skewed in such a way that the states will have no choice but be naturally lazy.

For instance, states arent allowed to mine and sell their natural resources on their own without FG approval. even at that, whatever they accrue from such will first go to the nations accounts first and the state given his share. the implication of this is Enugu rich in coal cant just wake up and says that she wants to start selling his coal to international buyers. The constitution demands that proceeds of such sales goes to federation account. As a result of this, it will be foolish for enugu state govt to unilaterally develop that aspect of their economy.

The laws as it is today demands and its structured in such a way that states MUST go to abuja and collect their funds afterall those funds in Abuja werent gotten from Abuja but these states that assembles in Abuja monthly. It will be criminal and great injustice for the people of any state whose governor refuses to partake in funds sharing in Abuja.

The solution is Effective resource control. Each federating states ought to be able to significantly control its resources. This is one of the reason why demdem will always call for an SNC and not the talk shop being proposed by Jonathan currently. that talk shop wont acheive the desired result but an SNC will determine :

1) if we really want to be together.
2) if yes, on what terms should our togetherness be
3) if no, how to disintegrate

These questions have never been posed to us as a country and its high time we answer them.[/b]
