EducationRe: FG Stops Salaries Of Striking Lecturers (ASUU) by Demdem(m): 7:33am On Oct 11, 2013
agabaI23: UNIBEN paid a year and half earned allowance. It is no secret. Some received over a million while some under. I was reliably informed that the least paid received 700k.

Don't make it sound as if the govt is doing them a favour. This is money being owed them over the years and its their right.
Besides, what abbout the remaining. Until ASUU receives all what they are being owned, I don't expect them in classes.
EducationRe: FG Stops Salaries Of Striking Lecturers (ASUU) by Demdem(m): 7:29am On Oct 11, 2013
wesley80: Dont be fooled, I have complete proof that ASUU members in at least one Federal institution received their complete "one year" allowance last week! I'm a 100% sure of this.

One year out of how many being owned.
Are u sure that money is inside the lecturers accounts?
No work no pay isn't new. I support ASUU 100%.
Now is the time to finish this war.
Govt can't be trusted. Other unions knows this..

berem: My dear, could we please stick to the topic and leave Bianca out of this? Pleeease? We are discussing about the achievements of FFK as a former minister of aviation and not his sexcapades. Abeg! wink
Ok darling.

andresia: Hehehehehehe, demdem, there is no doubt that your reputation in this forum is lower than that of a scum.

FFK only stated and a scum like you takes it up and bring it up even when a topic doesnt call for it! How lower can a perrson's life be than this?

Didn't Bianca promised to take FFK to court? Hasn't the deadline passed with no action?
No doubt about it, FFK said the whole truth about the smashing. Only fools like u will like to remain in denial aving been brainwashed that the late ojukwu married a virgin.

Goon, I have no reputation to protect in an anonymous forum. Only miserable ones like ur kind that don't have a real life will seek such.

emmalexabl: Hmmmmhh..this is serious oooo..
A man always associated with a womans' abuna..
Such man is indeed cursed !!!

Says who? A ladies man isn't cursed.
For example, the late Nnamdi Azikwe was a ladies man, was he cursed?
Ojukwu was a randy man, was he cursed?

andresia: There is no doubt that you are really a low lifer. May some one also say same thing ffk said about Bianca to your sisters, mother, wife, cousin and anyone related to you.

SMH for your mindset

U sound really daft. Iddiot.
FFK only stated what he did with biancas abuna when they were young, what's the big deal in that.
If any of my loved ones especially the adults can be stupid to fall for such a man the way bianca did then that's their cup of tea.
PoliticsRe: Femi Fani Kayode Live On Channels TV by Demdem(m): 10:30am On Oct 10, 2013
Anytime I read or see this FFK of a man, I remember the relentless smashing of Biancas abuna in the good old days.

olabukola: must you bring ibo into this? Is the CAN an ibo man? If this CAN man is a Yoruba man then their is problem somewhere and those of us that are quick to say that religion is non issue in SW should think twice. It might not be now but it's begging to look like it will be in the future. We have to do something to keep it at the level it is now. My 1 cent anyway.

I respect ur opinion but don't neccesarily agree to it.
I brought ibo land to it and also some part of the north to suggest climes or areas where this issue raised make sense. It's a different ball game in SW.

CAN should kindly shut up.
It's only in Ibo land or parts of the north that this makes sense. In SW, its pure rubbish.
Aregbe is on point.

Ngwakwe: I was watching Channel TV documentary on Osun State educational revolution. One of the parents complained that the introduction of Ifa Studies will proliferate the number of Babalawos within the next two years.

Ifa Priests wanted for immediate employment in Osun State.

Is CRK and Islamic studies currently being studied in schools responsible for the proliferation of pastors or imams either fake or real? If it isn't, why should ifa studies lead to such?

. Calling them destitutes is enough insult, u wunt av gone as far as calling them nonentities in order 2 make ur point. 2 bad of u,

Do u know for how long they were in the custody of the LASG which catered for their financial, emotional and even spiritual needs in Ikorodu center before the came back to their senses? The LASG took them him and cared for them for months before the decision to unite them. If u never knew this, now u know.

remember u r a lady.

Are u ok? since when?

Back 2 d issue u raised, d mineral resources n wealth 4rm d south east n south belongs 2 us all kos we r Nigerians bt d destitutes belong 2 dem n can't be accomodated abi?

Like i said earlier, the LASG didnt just pick them from the streets and immediately started uniting. They were taken good care in Govt rehabilitation center before this. LASG should be commended.

U equally said they were united with dia family, pls did u keep any family @ upper iweka by 3am?

If Adaobi has been awake to his responsibility by responding to the numerous letters sent to him by the LASG, that wouldnt have occured. I have no issue with the timing afterall there was enough security. but i have issues with the location. That to me is Adaobi's fault. The fool care less about his citizens.

Nne pls, let's nt go down dis lane again, I undstand ur sentiment n can't take dat away 4rm u nomata wat I say bt try 2 b polite in ur comments

Actually, u shouldnt let ur emotions blur ur judgements. U really need to work on ursef.

Ngokafor: Dr Chris Ngige, you should have kept quiet during the whole deportation saga,or even condemned it half-heartedly in public and then settle with your APC crew in private.

...this gubernatorial election would have been a walk-over for you especially with the exit of SOLUDO(my prefered candidate)...now a little known Willie Obiano is now a threat to you...the sad thing is that if by paraventure he wins(either by rigging or otherwise), most indifferent voters like me(by virtue of soludo's disqualification) will not be surprised.

Proudly Anambra!

There was no deportation. Only destitutes and nonentities were united with their families which to me is a right call. It wouldn't have gone wrong if adaobi had responded as expected from a gov when he was informed.
Multitudes of ibos still remain in lagos undisturbed making their cool money.
PoliticsRe: ASUU Disburses Fg's N30b To Lecturers by Demdem(m): 9:51pm On Oct 06, 2013
prof.femi:
The title of this post thread says "ASUU Disburses Fg's N30b To Lecturers". If OP is sincere, he should take that down because it is not true.

I am an academic, and not only have I not been paid, I agree it would be morally wrong for me to collect such and still be on strike.

The FG did release some of the allowances owed *all university staff*. The universities offered to pay the money to all staff concerned, including ASUU. In my university and all others that I know, ASUU discussed the issue and obviously saw the moral trap being set by the FG. They declined.

The other unions have been itching to get their share, and it wouldn't surprise me if what happened was that due to this pressure, a university decided to pay all staff.

The op isn't sincere so please don't expect much from him.
U said FG released some of the allowances owned. Please can u tell us the percentage of what has been released with respect to the total sum being owned.
Can u also tell us any new initiatives by the FG in resuscitating the comatose state of our university sytem. These are the core reasons why ASUU is fighting and I for one believe this should be the final battle.
Until all entitlements being owned are paid and concrete commitment that will be widely accepted by all as regards the uni system are agreed on, I don't think its wise for ASUU to go back to classes.
Let's finish up this mess now that we have a so called phd. in power.
PoliticsRe: ASUU Disburses Fg's N30b To Lecturers by Demdem(m): 9:30pm On Oct 06, 2013
bodejohn: I see the issue on ground from a different perspective. I will also blame all the key players in the education sector for the rot we have on our hands now.

Is it true that the government entered into an agreement in 2009 and reneged or failed to honor it? This also happen in Lagos state in the case of the medical doctors, Nigerians will continue to doubt her leaders when the go back on signed agreements.

If truly ASUU is seeking a step change in our universities, how about some sacrifice from them, can the lecturers tell the government to keep all their salaries for the period they will be on strike to show that they are selflessly pursuing advancement in our ivory towers.

I smell selfishness everywhere, from government, ASUU, students, parents and including myself.

A labourer is entitled to his wage. If u are an employee, can u let go of ur pay and asking ur boss to instead invest ur salary in his business which u are overseeing.
If govt did what was expected in the first place, would they have gone on strike?
Please let's put our brains to work here and apportion blame appropriately.
PoliticsRe: ASUU Disburses Fg's N30b To Lecturers by Demdem(m): 9:24pm On Oct 06, 2013
Boss13: I wonder why people choose to fight the OP and also why the OP was fighting back. All he did was to disseminate an information he got. Someone else also confirmed that ABU has gotten its allocation but individual lecturers are yet to be credited.

Now rather than fight the messenger, look @ the message. If lecturers are owed money, they should be paid (true). But the govt wants verification exercise so that they can know if the actual people fighting for this allowances are the true people. ASUU refused (I smell corruption and greed).

Well, the govt should pay these monies to ASUU so they can call off the strike. I will also fault the govt. Stop being reactive and start being proactive.

Verification exercise should be carried out. Government cannot afford to be throwing money to ghost workers. University accounts should not be credited, rather the individual lecturers' accounts should be credited.

The activities in universities should be audited and reviewed. We cannot afford union workers to hold the educational system in this country to ransom.

Shine ur eyes and take note of the pathetic lies spewed by the foolish op. I have already highlighted some earlier.

Is there any wisdom in subjecting the decisions of the conference to a NASS? this will happen if it isnt SNC. As long as it isnt Soverign, the decision of the conference will surely be tampered with and that to me is a waste of time.
