735 i: I ain't trying to justify shyte! As long as it happened in a parastatal that is under her, that suggest a lot. It's plain stupid for anyone to think that such an amount will be spent by any agency and the minister in charge won't be aware. Are u in Nigeria at all? It's simply not possible. |
Nonnyz: I support NANS on this one. What is ASUU's problem? They want FG to pay them 800B? From where? From which budget? U are free to support whatever, I have no problem with that however don't be deceived that the govt don't have the money to pay up. Don't be deceived that the govt negotiating team that discussed for months with ASUU before there was a concrete agreement were a group of nonentities who knew nothing. If our current govt has surplus billions for frivolities like cars, houses etc paying ASUU what they are being owned shouldnt be difficult. before now, they said no money but 30 billion came out suddenly, let's be patient more billions will come out if ASUU continues to apply pressure. It's their sweat not urs or even the students. |
tomakint: Were you once a student at all? Actually its ur line of reasoning that is skewed and lacked objectivity. What is ASUU demanding that is new? These issues have been pending for years making them go on strike over the years but after much persuasion from students and general public they go back to classes even when the govt hasn't met their demands. Why can't nans focus their attention to where the problem lies which is FG? Will ASUU remain on strike if govt fulfill their own part of the agreement? Those of u criticising ASUU will go beserk if ur employers don't pay ur wages or allowances for months. Why criticise ASUU who has years of allowances unpaid? Why demand from innocent lecturers what u will never accept for ursef? Let the govt pay them what is due them. Students or not, lecturers are humans, parents and they also have serious bills to pay. Deal with that. |
dr dams: U dont have peace and u might nt av if u continue being xtremely emotional. |
dougivilla: Bros take am easy! Why call everyone dat disagrees with you a f.o.ol? I hope d mods are alive to their responsibilities! |
Ingrate students. Your teachers should go back to classes when they are being owned years of allowances. Nonsense. |
Fresh Air. |
The same govt that cant pay ASUU hat is being owned can afford to dish out Billions of naira to erect a city gate. who is deceiving who? https://www.nairaland.com/1479162/fg-construct-new-abuja-gate#1479162.12 |
Stallion77: No they shuld not forego anything.....students shuld just remain at home cos they are better off at home ...the students should forego their studies by compulsion courtesy of ASUU. Nice speech. Are these ASUU members not parents themselves? Students being at home is unfortunate and its because ur govt has refused to be responsive. So because u students wants to go back to classes, ASUU shouldnt receive hat is due to them right? Stop being selfish, what is good for students (good and qualitative education) is also good for ASUU (payment of allowances being owned. |
dr dams: Peace be unto u.i already have peace. tackle ur miserable leaders. |
Does it matter? afterall, Jonathan himself is a drunkard. |
dr dams: Only a fool ll refuse to tackle d act. Only a fool will attach d personality irrationally. 1 of dose fools is Demdem.Fool, u made no sense. U mean tackle the 1 Billion naira worth of food Jonathan and his cohorts ate in the midst of abject poverty or what? How do one tackle that in present day Nigeria? By praying for them or cursing them? U sound daft. really daft. |
So true.
|
wesley80: By fools I presume you mean folks like yourself, and I'd say Yes!So in ur daft state, u dont know the fools in charge of ur economy. Oponu |
mekaboy: This is the first time ASUU is making such huge demands.Liar.
|
taharqa: Come on SHUT it tha, you PATHETIC being. The 56% share of SURE-P Fund due to States and LGAs are shared during d monthly FAAC meeting and go DIRECTLY to the Accounts of these States just the same way they receive their usual monthly allocations; and, they are free to use it which ever way they please. The part of d SURE-P fund that State Coordinators handle is d part of d FG's 44% which is set aside for some social services, esp d 3500 persons 'employed' per state; and they even do not directly handle d money involved. The point d @OP is making is: d FG has always been opened as to what they do with their 44% share, what then are States and LGAs doing with their 56% share they have been receiving on a monthly basis since Jan 2012 (with emphasis on d very Noisy ACN States). Simplicita!!!.... ADVICE yaself, fasttFool, good to see that u can now qoute me. ![]() Firstly From Day 1, sane minds have called the whole sure nonsense a huge fraud. The so called 56% u kept on talking about is for the 36 states of the federation and Abuja FCT and their LGAs so be advised that the FG also receives part of the so called 56% as long as FG controls FCT. Just like it was envisaged, its on record that the bulk of the surenonsense is being wasted and stolen by Jonathan goons. Most states/ state governors simply add it to their monthly allocation and work with it. Who cares if a project is surep or not as long as the job is done creditably well and states have credible projects to showcase. SureP unlike the 13% derivation fund isnt backed by law and its foolish for u to think that the FG can determine how she wants the states to deliver her projects to the people (as in separate sureP projects from normal projects). The FG wants to separate its so called SureP projects and most states dont instead they add the paltry sum to the monthly allocation. Dont get me wrong here, am not saying the states arent culpable in one way or the other but its a fact that the most culpable itself is the FG that originated this nonsense in the first instance and for sure squandering most of the funds. If the FG can squander as much as this, will it have the courage to question the states if at all it has the powers to do so. The states are simply threading the path created and nurtured for them by a useless policy originated by Jonathan. |
wesley80: My brother, what isnt curious when ASUU suddenly rises to demand for 2trillion naira in the middle of a country's worse financial crisis since the return to democracy and have refused to resume work till a terribly skewed agreement is implemnted to the letter! State's and parastatals are crying over a shortfall in allocations and ASUU are demanding trillions in the middle of a financial year! Pls be honest, does that make any sense? So ASUU should forgo what is legitimately theirs because some fools decides to wreck the economy. Are u ok at all. Besides, I thought Ngozi said economy is sound. ![]() |
wesley80: ^I'll be the first to admit that this allegation sounds far fetched but at the same time, the circumstances around this strike is very curious. The only circumstance around this strike is the FULL implementation of signed agreement and payment of all outstanding allowances owned ASUU. APC was not even born when they agreed. Blackmail from government won't acheive anything. If this govt have billions to cater for useless NASS and the executives, money for ASUU shouldn't be difficult. |
kettykings: Ngige the right man but in the wrong party But u voted in Ebele Jonathan and not PDP. Why change the goal post now? |

The fool simply won't bulge. For instance, He wants Fashola to give account of sure-p funds under the control of tewonde George goons. That makes no sense to sane minds but retardeen cocck suckers. |
Goddex: I thought you were intelligent. Never knew u were this daft. |
dr dams: Av been watching u..U are watching me and so what? Are u ok at all? Only a fool will honour a miserable leader that ate approx 1bilion naira worth of food in a financial year in the midst of abject poverty. Continue with ur useless honour. |
It's plain stupidity for asking those who don't control surep funds to give account. Jonathan campaign managers control surep funds nationwide. In otherwords, Jonathan controls surep. The only person that should give account is no other than Ebele Retardeen Jonathan. |
eGuerrilla: Copied in below is a view captured from one of the states under the control of Tinubu. The truth is for states not under the control of the killer party, the useless surep is controlled by agents of Jonathan as it is evidenced in lagos from ur post. Technically, retardeen controls all surep funds. |
gbanikiti: Afam! I can see that you have proven to be a hardcore bigot.i have always known and stated this. |
atlwireles: because you have none.Ngozi's abnormal. Her numerous lies over the years makes her such. |
meenagiggs: Don't be silly.Shut up, that was an honest question. No harm intended. |
take dat: Like Diezani'sNgozi the liar also has big balls. |
Excellent view from Tinubu. |
Do u guys go naked anytime u climb this mount? |
Rubbish thread. |

your line of reasonings on this forum is that borne out of warped view against positive reasoning! I doubt if you have a positive belief in yourself in the real world. Young man, time is going. ASUU don't give a damn about the students, I was once a student and this I know! @Topic, kudos to NANS! Kudos to Yinka.
Let's continue digging to see what else we can uncover.
