You don't need to be pissed ? We've seen it and equally we've been there ?
If you're really pissed then you should be with the EndSAS protest ! That's a strong course to vent your voice right !
If you want to criticise do it constructively and with no sentiments, your claim was the COAS was not in the N.E. Always speak of what you know dude

Are you alright at all? . When did I say the COAS was in the North East or not? WTF are you even talking about.
I'm talking about him honoring falling heroes and you're speaking dust. undecided undecided

Its so disheartening that we have to loose men in high figures like that but you don't have to come here an start your false propaganda.
[
False propaganda about what exactly? The army deny what's obviously true or what?
See you're a soldier and if what happens to those men happened to you I will be equally pissed.
I hate Buratai because I have brothers and friends in the army. Them dieing and the army denying their death is just lame.
We are all stake holders in this war one way or the other.
This men have family's.
If my brother should pay the Supreme price seeing the army post his picture acknowledging his sacrifice, that is something I will forever hold dear.
So stop praising mediocrity.

Toju200:
I totally understand you sir.
You're right a lot of people needs to be jailed for their crimes,so was the peaceful protest supposed to be #EndSars or #EndPoliceBrutality.
Fine the Protested #EndSars which had effect and IGP acted.
Someone on Tweeter said the SARS office close to his/ her home has been shut down till further notice and the Name SARS has been Cleaned off and Renamed NPF.
Even today my mum went to the Market and she told me no single police officers are on the road only VIOs unlike before.

If they actually want the killers brought to book it would have been #EndPoliceBrutality #ReformThePolice
Because 1.End SARS may not be the answer they are still police officers and when drafted to perhaps other units they may likely commit their atrocities so the police needs overhaul.

Even segalinks has said the protests should end and every one calm down.
I'm not against the protests but the protesters should at least calm down. They wanted SARS to end it's finally ended .

You still dey chop mama thank you.
When you're out of your parents house you'll understand why the youths are pissed.

You're missing a lot !

SWAT has been already in existence before now, they are to be replace the useless SARS or FSARS we have.
Trust me this guys are professional and not miscreants like the SARs, only that there unit outfit is not enough, just like the police IRS those guys are doing a nice job, years back some IRS officers helped me with my flat tires I'm the middle of night in Abuja and I was so much surprised.
My only fear is that they wouldn't turn bad like the SARS in few years time.

thanks for the info. i fully grasp now. cool

Hopefully the current Nigerians in power don't loose their senses and decide to call in the military to quell these protests because that will be the beginning of the end to the Tucano deal... FACTS.
We all know and are all witness to the way power tend to make seemingly intelligent people act in such a crass and senile manner. Already I'm beginning to see some videos (2) of soldiers dealing with protesters on the issue of #endsarsnow. This is not sensible and very short-sighted, the military command must ensure that its personnel stay out of this development. The Nigerians protesting #endsarsnow have no beef with the military YET, so there's no need for the military to invite itself into this tussle, absolutely no reason, because it will have only itself to blame when the self-styled moral police America decide to postpone, or outright cancel the tucano deal after how many years of waiting by Nigeria. All it takes is a wrong move from the military to send the whole deal up in flames. Nigerian NGO's CSO's and Amnesty Nigeria already have their sights aimed, locked and loaded waiting for any wrong move concerning how these protests are quelled.
#endsarsnow might be the trending hashtag now but of course if a honest and comprehensive reform of SARS is proposed Nigerians will take that as a win.
Ideas that will make sense to most Nigerians today
SARS officials must compulsorily wear a Body-Cam whenever they are on duty. This can be as simple as a smart phone with a battery pack. or better yet a shoulder/chest worn go-pro-like device with battery pack 24-48hrs battery time for (1picture/second plus full audio recording)
SARS officials must download their Body-Cam footage at their station at the end of every shift before they check-out.
SARS officials must check in all their weapons when they go off duty and check-out their weapons before going on duty.
SARS must have a complaints hotline/app to report incidents, whether anonymously or identified. All that's needed by the caller is the complaint, time and place, and this facts can be corroborated or disputed by internal investigators using the stored data from Body-Cams.
SARS must have internal investigation units tasked solely with internal investigations of complaints made against SARS officials.
Erring SARS officials must be disciplined and if after numerous warnings, said officials must be fired.

SARS officials must be paid in full and on time

list of demands for if and when #endsarsnow reaches negotiation stages.
anyone care to add to the ideological list of demands?
Government must be seen to respond to its citizens, if they had been listening it wouldn't have gotten to this stage.
PS: let no one underestimate the scale and reach of these protests, both online and on-ground. Revolutions usually start by a mass-awakening of citizens ready to risk their life to call government to order.
Government, WAKE UP

Generally English people (UK) are very egoistic, sentimental and nolstalgic set of beings
Their language (English) has also fallen victim of that same with their culture and tradition. I watched a documentary about the language, it was written out of sentiments, ego and alot of things weren't just meant to be..
Asides that
Remember that royal wedding if 2010 now when the couple rode in a 1962 Jaguar. Even the recent one of a few years back it was same thing. Those people love their culture so much and are very nolstalgic. They always want to be unique. Like where the hell is the "F" in lieutenant.

Some are those that tried to get in and could not.
Now they are just self proclaimed officers.

Imagine you that have not seen anything calling someone who spent years in the academy names.

Had it been he is still in academy then it would have been opsec coming here.
But he is out. And free of any oath or law.

The first is not entirely true. The infamous video of cadets neckshaving a guy and a particular female one asking "Am I Pretty" got not just those Cadets but all 67RC in deep shyte. Among all the cadets in that video, I know of only 2 that have passed out. Others were relegated.
The "something to be done" you're looking for will definitely not be in the news.

SERE is taught at least USAFA (of the top of my head). The training is in levels

I stand corrected then.
But still, it doesn't defeat my point that most cadets behave like thugs and see civilians as enemies.

All this boils down to the culture and orientation of the NDA.

This is the military, a single order can change all this.

But because this same culture and orientation is deeply engraved into almost every officer. You see even generals and admirals dehumanizing their subordinates.

This is why you see even the little baby birds in the academy who don't even know if they will graduate to be officers or not, practicing the same devilish actions on civilians.

And people think it's okay.

Honestly some Nigerians are just too moronic and foolish, being in the military doesn’t mean you stop being human, it’s not a license to years of suffering and not all suffering builds character and strength, sometimes you’re just suffering plain and simple.

Nigerians take suffering like its an Olympic, bragging about who suffers the most, they have been oppressed and abused to the point that they don’t even know that they’re suffering. The would even fight you for speaking up. Seriously who cursed us?

Planting your head from January to December at the military academy doesn’t make or build a better soilder, it’s plain suffering.

Why una just like to glorify suffering? One bastard up there is even saying the military should stop “ajebutter” intake. WTF, is it crack??

Most of those animalistic and dehumanizing training has been abolished.
Tho it's no news that most officers and soldiers enjoy seeing people suffer and the only justification is to rebrand wickedness and call it training.

This is why you see cadets behaving like terrorist every time they get little break from the academy. You see them blocking federal high ways and beating up civilians with little or no provocations.
Even when this brutalization is reported to academy authorities, nothing is ever done.

Now imagine cadets from west point blocking a federal high way in Washington DC. I can bet my left balls that those cadets are getting discharged and charged appropriately for the crime.

But nah. A decorated officer of a federal army is here on a public forum trying to justify dehumanization and brutalization.

Even the S.E.R.E program y'all are referring to is not practiced in academy level in the US. . undecided
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by demolition: 8:02am On Sep 29, 2020

LOL for our officers in the house who think it's abnormal to talk about academy experience online.

Y'all should take out time to read on reddit or quora about cadets and graduates from west point and other military academys around the world.

Cadets bant their drill sergeants all the time and it's no crime.

Those officers who's name was mentioned earlier, some say they might get in trouble because their name was mentioned.
And I ask my self. If what he is saying can put them in trouble that means they are doing their jobs the wrong way.
And all those in support of their actions are the problem.

Drops Mic. undecided

They can't do him nothing anymore. He can even go as far as writing a book about his experience in academy and nothing will happen.
He is no longer bound by any law or oath because he is no longer in the system.

We should know our laws. I'm even surprised our self proclaimed officers in the house are ranting.

Even ex navy seals and delta force operators write books about what they went through in the system. Is Academy more secret than delta force?

As long as he is not sharing classified information.

You guys should be calming down and allow the young fellow to tell his story.
