Coincidentally, I got into an argument with someone today. He was talking down on another petite lady whose children are undergraduates. I could see the rage in her but she just won't let it out. I tried to mediate (someone had asked me to give him the contract, hence my involvement) and he felt insulted. Citing I was too young to calm him down...his first child is a teenager...bla bla bla...I should be having such conversation with his child instead. Chineke! I didn't know when I burst into laughter alongside the woman grin

To get him even madder, I addressed him using "O"– a case of reciprocity cheesy

It's a Yoruba term used to address a supposed younger person or a friend...more like kuku die if you choose to cheesy

I doubt that there are institutions like that where I can simply collect loans with the property as collateral. If there are, I have no ideas about any. If you have, please furnish me with this information. Thank you.

GTB does. You can look it up online or walk-in into any of its branches for more info. In fact, if you have a salary account with the bank, depending on the cash flows into the said account, you can get up to 2m...not sure if it would be enough for your project.

Renmoney does too but with a higher interest rate. You know what...check with GTB, Access Bank, StanbicIBTC (even better if you have a pension account with them), Zenith B. and Fidelity B.

Some communities like mine give out loans to indigenes with landed properties with a 5 year payment plan. You can also check with your community.

Will update this post and give you a mention as I get more.

growing up, I didn’t get this kind of love from my father. We endured our presence. I always wanted to see him leave, I just could not wait to watch him say that “Oya bye bye” as he left the door.

I think it has caused a lot of psychological damage especially with how I relate with people. I don’t care much about people.

Nigerians we dey go through things oh! But somebody would say nothing like trauma or temporal-mental unbalance in African man.

It's good to speak out at times to clear your mind off the thoughts and create some level of awareness of what the average Nigerian home feels like.

BTW, why not use the landed property as collateral rather than an outright sell off?
