From wikipedia: This is not me talking read it yourself,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaibu_Amodu
Quote: from wikipedia
Coaching career
FROM WIKIPEDIA
He previously managed Nigeria from April 2001 to February 2002.[2]

Shaibu Amodu was appointed coach of Nigeria's Super Eagles in 2008, his fourth spell as Nigeria coach, taking over from Berti Vogts. It was he whom the administrators turned to when the Super Eagles faced elimination from qualifying for Japan/South Korea 2002 after the sacking of Dutchman Johannes Bonfrere. His successful tinkering of the team ensured that Nigeria made the Asian World Cup party but he was sacked after the team’s bronze-medal finish at AFCON 2002. He repeated this feat in 2009 by leading Nigeria to the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Just like in 2002, the team's third place finish led to Amodu being let go on 6 February 2010.[3]. After the dismal performance of the Super Eagles in the 2010 African Cup of Nations as a result of the obvious lack of Techniques from Amodu, he was demoted to serve as the coach of the Nigerian B-team (Home-Based Eagles).[4]

Do you use your brain to analyse before vomiting?

What target given to Amodu did he not meet? Tell me.

Can you see how they dismiss any of his achievements and then are quick to praise any white PE teacher with inferior achievements?

See the silly excuses and moronic points!
Please name one of Amodu's achievement, Have you ever thought to yourself why is it that he has been prevented from
taking the super eagles to the world cup on 2 occasions - There must be something wrong with him, That is the only
explanation,

white PE teacher with inferior achievements -
I want to be constructive, Let me name one achievement of Amodu,
Hmmmmmm, I can't becos 3rd place in a Nations cup is not an achievement,
Hmmmmmm, Beating France is not an achievement, China beat france too.
Hmmmmmm, Pls help me name one,

All this silly statements

You mean like when Amodu beat France 1-0 in FRANCE with SE B-team?

You mean like when Amodu drew 0-0 with ARGENTINA in 1995 Confed cup?

You mean like when Amodu thrashed Japan 3-0 in the same 1995 Confed cup?
I am happy you are quoting 1995 super eagles teams, further contradicting yourself, The team was handed down to him by
whom - Westerhof,  You can tell if a coach is good, if he leaves a job and the replacement coach find the team in good
shape and excellent form, E.g Mourniho leaving Chelsea, yet all coaches replacing him have used the same team
to win different trophies - FA cup, league,
Why didn't he improve the team by discovering new players -- oh, sorry, he did. Mohammed Gamba, and some other
useless players he introduced,
You talk about him introducing Martins to goal against Kenya, What are you talking about,
We got the ticket as a result of another game, We all know that,
Jokes apart, why do you want to take Nigeria 10 years backwards in our football.
The Super Eagles was a laughing stock at the Nations cup, So did you not watch them,
Amodu experimented with his selection until he got it right in the 3rd place match,
IT IS OK TO EXPERIMENT AS A COACH, I AGREE, BUT AMODU SHOULD FORGET ABOUT
THE SUPER EAGLES AND LOOK FOR ANOTHER PLACE TO COACH, HE DOESN'T HAVE
THE TECHNICAL AND COACHING ABILITY TO COACH THE SUPER EAGLES, PERIOD,
EVEN THE ENGLISH HAVE STOPPED USING THEIR OWN LOCAL COACHES AFTER
THEIR EXPERIENCE FAILED WITH COACH MCLAREN ,
WE SHOULD LEARN,

You talk about Change Management,  We know that top companies in the world
don't tolerate managers who cannot produce result,
Because,
Self esteem = function of Attribute * Result,
If a manager cannot produce result as a result of his attribute, automatically
it results in low self esteem of workers in the company and the manager is fired,
THE SUPER EAGLES HAVE BEEN SUFFERING FROM LOW SELF ESTEEM BECOS
OF POOR RESULT * POOR ATTRIBUTE OF THE COACH,
>>WORLD CLASS COACHES RESIGN WHEN THEY DON'T PRODUCE RESULT,
REASON, TO AVOID THE TEAM SUFFERING FROM LOW SELF ESTEEM, THAT IS WHY YOU
SEE HIDDICK AND THE REST RESIGNING,
WHAT WILL AMODU DO, STAY PUT FURTHER CAUSING MORE
DAMAGE,

Siasia would have produced a better performance

So what was the point of Lagerback.

He does not even know our best players.'

mketasy, u r talking as if u didnt watch d match. i say they posted a good performance.
How can people be so myopic,  Amodu would have produced this kind of result - Ghana 1 Holland 4.
We talk of Siasia,  He was a disaster during his last outing, What is he doing now? -- Nothing,
World class coaches don't sit down and wait to become coaches for their countries, he make a name for
themselves by taking coaching jobs in top clubs,
Mourniho in his 1st year with inter was a flop at the champions league, It took him another 1 year to
fully know the players and use them effectively,
>>He does not even know our best players.'<< That was a silly statement, Sorry, not hating on you but hating on the attitude,
I was proud of our players and everyone I have spoken to now believe our team has a future,
Nigeria is a WORLD CLASS FOOTBALL NATION- AND WE NEED TO RETAIN AND EMPLOY WORLD CLASS COACHES.
AMODU, SIASIA SHOULD LEARN FROM KESHI AND IMPROVE THEMSELVES BY TAKING COACHING JOBS OUTSIDE

It's called ball retention. . . . .
When your opponents don't have the ball. . . . .they cannot HARM you.

In an attack,  undecided
It is called STUPIDITY, If you play against a world class team, the longer you keep the ball in your half, the more likely they will score you.

Few weeks ago, during a discussion on torture - Should torture be ban?
When I heard it was one of my people, my heart started racing and then the caller didn't
disappoint,

Caller from Nigeria: Torture should not be banned but the name should be changed,
BBC: (Laughing) You mean the use of torture should be continued but the name should be changed. Why?
Caller from Nigeria: Yes. The name Torture is too extreme, they should call it something else like
           Punishment or so.
(Laughter all around the studio)

TravelRe: Is Ghana A Good Place To Start Up Life? by denitro(m): 9:45am On Apr 27, 2010
I don't think that will be a good idea. I have lived in ghana for more than 5 years.
Reasons,
*Majority of the Ghanaian youths are unemployed, there is just not enough jobs. I have ghanaian friends who have been searching for jobs for quite a while now.
*For those who have jobs, the pay is very terrible,
Average worker takes Ghc 200 a month -- Equivalent to N20,000 (And this is a good paying job)
*Power section is now facing a crisis. For the past few months, Ghana has been experiencing what Nigerians are use to. Frequent power cuts - It is now an everyday occurrence, but the good thing is that it only lasts for like 2 - 3 hours unlike that in Nigeria.
*Ghanaian are not friendly towards Nigerians, Last month there was a crisis in Teshie, Nungua, Accra, where Nigerians were hunted down and cut with machetes and some stabbed with bottles. Though I blame my own people for causing it (A ghanaian guy mobilized a community to hit on Nigerians as a result of losing his girlfriend to a Nigerian).
*If you plan to relocate, ensure you come with a lot of money to keep you going for a while. (There is no money in the system)
*Breakdown of life
 - Food is expensive
Transportation is cheap
Rent and Accommodation is cheap - A self contain Apt - Ghc 450 a year - Like N45,000 - N50,000 a year
Internet browsing is cheap - 50p per hour - N50 per hour
*Every Nigerian here is looked at like a Fraudster.
 - Here where I work, colleagues had that initial perspective of me be4 they got to know me well.
Overall, if you are planning to hustle, you will be disappointed. Holiday - good move. Education - good move,

When this young set of players mature, probably within the next 2 seasons, we will be unstoppable.

IBB cannot get there, it will shock him and shock anyone who thinks PDP giving him the ticket will get him there.

The reason PDP won the last election was because Yar adua was the only credible candidate on a party system that had weigh.

PoliticsRe: Jos Crisis: Why We Struck –fulani Settlers by denitro(m): 1:51pm On Mar 12, 2010
Newtons 2nd law states that
1. In the absence of a net force, the center of mass of a body of Christians either is at rest or moves at a constant velocity.
2. A body of Christians experiencing a force F experiences an acceleration a related to F by F = ma, where m is the mass of the body of Christians. Alternatively, force is equal to the time derivative of the attack.
3. Whenever a first body of Muslims exerts a force F on a second body of christians, the second body of Christians exerts a force −F on the first body of Muslims. F and −F are equal in magnitude and opposite in direction

Meaning
January attack on the muslims was the derivative of -F since they had exerted F previous years.
According to Newtons law, the center of mass of a body of Christians would have remained at rest due to the exerting of -F,
The recent attacks by the Muslims has shifted the equilibrum.
resulting in an inbalance wherein the F - force exerted has to be compensated with the resultant force -F to keep the body at rest. (But since we have been taught to turn the other cheek, we will let it pass.)
MORAL OF NEWTONS 2ND LAW
STOP THE KILLING, IT IS SENSELESS. CHRISTIANS ARE NOT VIOLENT AND WILL DEFINITELY NOT EXERT -F ON THE MUSLIM EVEN IF THEY DESERVE IT.
REMEMBER THE 3 YOUTH CORPERS KILLED , HAVE THE MUSLIMS NEVER THOUGHT FOR ONCE, WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF THE FAMILY OF THOSE BOYS DECIDED TO REVENGE THE DEATH OF THEIR SONS.
CHRISTIANS ARE NOT VIOLENT AND WILL LEAVE IT TO ALLAH TO JUDGE ALL THOSE WHO DID THE KILLINGS AND ALL THOSE WHO DON'T UNDERSTAND THE KORAN AND SUPPORT SUCH AN ACT.
GOD BLESS ALL CHRISTIANS AND ALL MUSLIMS WHO SEEK FOR PEACE.

1. Clean streets and good roads
2. Ability to response to issues in the state promptly.
3. Tourism and business inclined.
4. Employed a large part of the unemployed.

Personality,
Simple
Calm and calculated.
Has vision
Can bring change to his environment.

Set backs
Not too tolerant to opposition
PDP inclined.

AS PRESIDENT
Will bring changes to power, tourism etc
But rigging of elections will continue because he will ensure that PDP will win under him.

PoliticsWhat Will It Take To Vote In Change Come 2011 by denitro(op): 4:32pm On Mar 07, 2010
I was at a social gathering last week when a man openly said that PDP will rule Nigeria for the next 50 years.
A lot of people objected and gave their own view of what will happen come 2011.
I watched from afar and came to the conclusion that we all are to blame for the present state of the electoral system and state of the Nation.
From Experience
1. When the entire voting public vote in mass with their heart, that election cannot be rigged (June 12, 1993) - it could be annulled but never rigged, don't let anyone fool you, the current illusion that no matter what or who you vote for is meaningless because the winner has already been chosen is a clear and calculated plot to tie the entire public to a predetermined fate. Ask yourself this simple question "did you vote last election?" - I believe the answer will be NO. I didn't vote because I thought my vote was meaningless.
Actual voter fell into 3 categories.
a. Small few who believed that they can vote change
b. Majority - who were paid to cast their vote
c. Dangerous few who actually did the voting by looting ballot boxes.
Based on this, the ratio of (e.g PDP voters to Non PDP voters) will be 2:1, people on hearing the election result will cry foul but in reality, by staying away from the polling centers we have set the system to default.
I believe what it will take to bring change will be to reawaken the Nigerian fighting spirit, this time we will use our pens, mouses, mobile phones to sensitive family and friends to vote come 2011.
Come 2011, actual voters will be
a. Many who will vote with their hearts
b. Indifference few who will be persuaded to vote with their hearts
c. Unbelieving few who will be persuaded to vote with their hearts
d. Few who will be paid to cast their vote
e. dangerous few who will vast their vote by looting some ballot boxes here and there.
f.  Stubborn few who will be spectators.
This will shift the equilibrum in favour of change.
I will be doing some smart mobbing till 2011, trying to get at last 100 people to vote for change.

SO NAIRALANDER WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO VOTE IN CHANGE COME 2011

Wonderful letter, of late I have been watching alot of foreign matches and was surprised to find out that a lot of Nigerian player play regularly for foreign clubs, this players were never called up for Angola.
I GUESS AMODU MUST BE REGRETTING HIS ACTIONS RIGHT NOW, -- AFRAID TO TRY NEW PLAYER AND COMFORTABLE WITH FAT, LAZY, UNFIT AND UNDETERMINED PLAYERS.
Brazil used Ronaldinho at a very young age, we should give some of the under 17 and 21 boyz a chance.
FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 4 YEARS, I AM BEGINNING TO BELIEVE WE HAVE A CHANCE IN SOUTH AFRICA 2010
-- A GOOD COACH GIVES HOPE.

Amodu has finally been sacked.
THANK YOU EVERYBODY. THE ALMIGHTY GOD OF FOOTBALL HAS FINALLY HEARD OUR CRY.
NIGERIA IS A GREAT FOOTBALLING NATION, AND WE DESERVE THE BEST.
THERE IS NO SHAME IN SACKING A NON PERFORMING COACH.
NOW WE CAN TAKE THE NECESSARY STEPS IN ENSURING THAT THE BEST PLAYERS ARE GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY.
GOD BLESS NIGERIA, GOD BLESS NAIRALAND
SportsRe: Give Three Reasons Why Amodu Should Remain Or Be Sacked by denitro(op): 9:33pm On Feb 03, 2010
I will set it up.
Reason 1 - Being a good coach is based on 2 factor - Attribute and Result.
A good coach has always been judged based on his result.
RESULTS
Amodu did not qualify us for the world cup, Mozambique did
The world cup is not a training ground, if you don't know what you are doing you will be disgraced.

Amodu fumbled and flopped in 3 big matches during the Nations cup - Egypt, Zambia and Ghana.
He had more than 2 years to present a world class team, what difference will he possibly make in 4 months

Amodu has not improved in his coaching abilities, he led Nigeria to a similar position years ago.
Old Amodu almost relegated Orlando Pirates whilst as a coach with them, he was stoned and booed off before sacked. He cannot change his game plan and is short of ideas when under pressure

Reason 2 -  A good coach must be
1. Accepted
2. A good motivator
3. Respected by his team and can change and demand perfection from his players
4. One who is proactive and can tell an unfit player a mile away
5. One who doesn't believe in destiny
6. One who can discover new players and lead them to the zenith in football - pls tell me one player that Amodu has discover - Mohammed gamba etc.

Reason 3. The super eagles coach should be a world class coach.
Berti Vogt was sacked as a result of poor performance.
Take a close look at Amodu's team, it is a reversed version of Berti vogt's team, Berti Vogts lost to ghana, i bet you if Nigeria had met Zambia, then we would have beat them then lost to Ghana to the semi finals. They had no problem sacking berti vogts which I clearly supported but why have cold feets regarding Amodu, because he is a Nigerian.
Call a spade a spade. Amodu will not take us beyond the first round in the world cup. Why experiment with him, let us get a coach now that will take us to the world cup and then continue and possibly take us to the next world cup.
That to me makes sense.

I have heard a lot of people voice their opinion why they believe Amodu should take us to the world cup or be sacked. And have come to see that a lot of people don't know what they want, don't know about football and worse of all, have no argument at all.
So here it is - Once and for all, if you have 3 concrete reasons why Amodu should be sacked or should take us to the world cup. Clear the air so that we can reason with you.

lagerwhenindoubt:
embarassed I must say this. I hate Amodu, I hate his in-game tactics and over-all strategy, he reeks of amateurism but I am well and truly embarrassed by his consistent Wins on the soccer arena. Since the qualifiers up to the 3rd place match with Algeria. He has made me eat my rancid words (everyone of them) though I am still not convinced, He will make a believer out of me yet.  grin The guy is an expert at dumb-founding his haters.

Against arguably better sides like Cameroon, CIV, Algeria, MALI and Zambia,  this guyhas clawed his way into the 3rd place,  no small feat considering the quality of the teams in CAN2010,

NFF should stick to him as they have said before, "We will swim or sink with Amodu"
lagerwhenindoubt you do not know what you are talking about.
What better sides - Cameroon, CIV were flops, Amodu lost the match to Zambia. That match was a disgrace.
We were tested 3 times during the Nations cup
1. Against Egypt - Amodu was a disaster, he couldn't change his game plan during half time break.
2. Against Zambia - The Zambia team beat us silly, if Cameroon could beat them, then our team is messed up.
3. Against Ghana - Disappointing.
So please tell me, on what basics are you clamouring for Amodu.
Based on this three matches, I rate him based on his miserably win against Zambia 1 out of 10.
A world class coach be him a Nigerian or a white is what we need.
We should be talking of getting fresh legs into the Super eagles and coaching crew.
We can have it no other way.
Those saying 4 months is too short, then don't watch the english premiership.
Scolari was sacked and Hiddick turned Chelsea around immediately.
If Amodu has a problem with the ego of the player, then he is not a coach.
Hire someone that the player will respect.
Have you ever thought that maybe if a coach is incompetent, can't motivate the team, is technically lacking, the player lose interest and don't play to their full potential
Remember the parable in the new testament
***Neither do they put new wine into old bottles. Otherwise the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish. But new wine they put into new bottles: and both are preserved.
***MORAL - You cannot teach an old dog new tricks, he will disgrace you.
Amodu cannot change, he wants to buy time so that he can go to the world cup. A coach that cares about quality football will honorable resign, he is a BIG DISGRACE.
There are better coaches, let's go for one of them.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Egypt Coach Hassan Shehata Reveals Nigeria approach by denitro(m): 1:00am On Feb 02, 2010
Thank God, Now the NFF are thinking with their head.
Nigeria needs a coach that can dramatically change our sluggish style of play. It is really sickening.
And regards a Nigerian coach replacing Amodu, that is more sickening. Maybe Bosso can take over.
SOME NIGERIANS ARE NEVER READY TO STEP UP. And would prefer old wine in old bottles.
Pls let us accept CHANGE for once

Liedetect:
Sneaky, Sneaky Shesi you are back again with your fronting and sneakiness. Its is  Ghana people who have bad belly and are extremely jealous people they are usually talking bad about Nigerians to any foreigners who care to listen, I have also heard them cussing Togo, Angola etc.  You know it is true so do not hide behind your screen trying to overturn received wisdom
For the most part Nigerians do not care about other Africans we’re not into criticising or bad mouthing other African usually it is other Africans who join the European bandwagon in cussing Nigerians.

Nigerians often defend Africans and black people but all we have received towards us is badmouth so we are beginning to learn. Once upon a time, I would have been jumping for Ghana to win because they are a black team but now I’m not bothered. I can’t speak for all Nigerians but in my circles Ghana is far away Cameroon is nearer in terms of foot-balling rivalry.

To prove you are lying, I  challenge you or anyone to go compare Ghanaians site/ articles to Nigerian sites/articles. If you did so, you will see that Ghanaians are obsessed with Nigeria and Nigerians but Nigerians only care about Nigeria.
I totally agree, I live in Ghana and your sports analyst on national TV - TV3, Metro Tv are always biased in their opinions when Nigeria is being discussed, when Nigeria lost the under 17 final, I was in a barbering saloon when a man ran in, sweating, he told everyone in the saloon how he was happy Nigeria lost, and said - Anything Ghana does, Nigeria wants to copy.
I don't use this man as a yard stick on judge Ghanaians, I have many Ghanaian friends, but everyone knows that Ghanaians feel a certain complex when it comes to Nigeria and don't hide their criticism of Nigerians when given the opportunity.

Please show us where Amodu said he thought we played well against Zambia, can you at least do that?

His task (Nff's target) was to get to the Semi final which he did, so what's your problem? let those who hired him fire him.
Just because we don't like his selections does not make anyone insult the man continuously, if he was your dad, would you say things like these to him?

99% of our leaders are under-performing leaders and Amodu is 20 times better than then, why are you people not asking for foreign take over of the country? maybe we need a foreign president too or don't we?

How many times have you made mistakes at your work place? would you like it if some people wants you sacked just because you didn't achieve your target the way they would have loved it achieved but you were still able to achieve your targets in your own way?
WHAT, ! I can't believe this is coming from a Nigeria, which planet are you living on.
If Amodu was my Dad, I will personally call him as a son and advise him to resign.
Amodu is no better than our leaders. In fact, Amodu was selected by our under performing football leaders so what do you expect.
At work - If you only achieved your target not by your own merit but by luck and persistently repeat the same mistake over and over again. YOU WILL BE FIRED and if you are not careful, held liable for any damages as a result of your incompetency.
Shabby world cup qualifying run - strike 1
Inability to qualify for South Africa 2010 by merit - strike 2
Disgraceful nation's cup performance - strike 3
WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT
Disastrous World cup performance - Strike 4
GOD FORBID.
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Algeria Nations Cup [1 -0] by denitro(m): 2:17am On Jan 31, 2010
TO ALL THOSE WHO FOOLISHLY THINK AMODU SHOULD TAKE US TO SA 2010
Reasons why Amodu will disgrace us in South Africa 2010
1. Amodu did not qualify us for the World Cup, Mozambique did.
2. Amodu is not tactically sound - All efforts have been by trial and error.
Maybe let us try Yakubu as the lone striker, no, Let's try Obafemi, No, Let's try ,  Obasi and Nsofor,
How long will a coach take the whole Nigerians for a ride.
3. The quality of matches in the World cup will be higher than that of the Nations cup. The signs are there,
The same team will be taken to South Africa, the same approach and clearly the same result (Disaster)
4. How can a coach that can't tell the ability and fitness of his players. Obafemi has not been playing regularly for
Wolfburg, Yakubu plays better as a supporting striker, Nwaneri had been criticized by Westerfo and I quote
westerfo - Nwaneri has no business in the team. This was 2 nations cup ago. It is no surprise he caused the goal
    Nigeria - Ghana match
5. It is only a country that has no respect for it's football that will play around the issue of selecting a world class
coach for it's national team. The English team tried using coaching from the English premiership, it didn't work
They didn't say, let us keep patching up, No. They took a bold step and hired a world class coach.
6. Amodu has not succeeded outside the shores of Nigeria, in orlando pirates, he was booed off and dismissed,
7. There is a saying in business - it is madness to expect a difference result doing things the same way you
have been doing things. Nigeria has never progressed beyond the second round when we struggled to
qualify for the world cup, So doing things the same way we are accustomed to doing things, our best
performance with Amodu will be a second round exit.
8. Beefing up the coaching crew as suggested by Amodu will be taking a wrong step in a hopeless direction. If
he is not capable, then let he allow someone who is capable. Imagine adding Siasia, Keshi etc to his coaching
crew for the nation's cup, the result will not be different, because we will still end up with a team that can't
score goals, defends poorly and lacks a play maker.
9. We need fresh ideas on the bench. A coach that thinks outside the box.
Those hoping that Amodu continues as the coach are the very same reason why Nigeria will forever be stuck with a
PDP leadership, a sick presidents, incompetent presidents, corrupt governors, No electric power, bad roads, corrupt leader. We know that PDP is bad, but they made a mistake during the last 8 years, let us give them another chance,  WHAT OF, Giving another political party, a chance to make things right. I am sick and tired of Nigerians reasoning like that.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. AMODU SHOULD BE SACKED. AND AN ITALIAN COACH CALLED UP. IT IS NO SECRET THAT THE ITALIAN COACHS ARE CURRENTLY THE BEST AND WILL DELIVER THE BEST QUALITY IN THE SHORT TERM FOR US.
AMODU HAS TRIED. WE APPRECIATE HIS EFFORT BUT ,  THERE IS A TIME FOR EVERYTHING.
THERE IS A TIME TO TAKE BULLSHIT AND A TIME TO BE SACKED.
