£a$y:

Go for the review, You know the Recession has really affected the British economy so they're trying hard to get money inn. I showed them the total money for the 3yrs of my program (excess of £20,000). You don't need a lawyer for the review you know, something you can do yourself. You just have to impress than a little!

what does administrative review mean as u have suggested to the other poster, cause i am having a case of document verification for over 3 months going now with the BHC and don't know what to do.

"Your application is still being deferred for checks. A decision will be made as soon as we receive a response to the checks and you will be contacted by our Customer Services Unit."

As u did advised me on my company getting invove in the process,i decided to mail them requesting for my employment letter and the passport while they go ahead with wat ever checks they need to conduct before approval. but instead of a simple response they only sent me that statement above. what do u understand by these word [b]deferred for checks
cause i am getting confuse with these peopleooo. do oblige me with any suggestion that could help me.

thanks vicjustice and awoll for your response, Do u advice that my company writes them on my behalf or i should just go ahead like u said requesting for my passport and the original copy of my employment letter as i want to use it for another purpose. beside the last time i mailed them the response was that they are conducting a check, if i may ask what other checks do they do, cause they called my company and confirmation was done, also my bank was also contacted which i found out from my account officer during these long delay for statements confrimation.

Akolawole, awoll and vicjustice i need your help on these as u are the expert on these forum. i had earlier posted for help regarding my situation but didn't really get a definte answer and would like u to look into this for me. I applied for a working holiday visa before it was scrapped and did win the appeal after the initial refusal. And the BHC did call me and they requested i bring my Employment letter, bank statements for six month and payslip which i had submitted since 26th of may 2009 and i did get a slip for collection on 6th of june 2009 and up till date am still not able to collect it. I was given a number to call to ask for the status of my application and i have mailed them times without number to confirm, the status and all i get from them is that your Visa is not ready for collection and you might wish to check back in two weeks. i mailed them 2 weeks ago and the response i still got was that we are We are still awaiting replies to checks conducted on your application. Kindly email us in 2 weeks. Now am really confuse on what to do as my company is thinking of mailing them to know what the delay is all about and since i will be going for a refresher course soon and will need the passport with the BHC to make application for a visa to south Africa.pls people inthe house what do i do? should i still hold on a little while or write the BHC my self and moreover i don't know what to write cause am confuse or should i withdraw my application? pls i need your suggestion and what do they mean by We are still awaiting replies to checks conducted on your application.

ojodudu:

Nairalanders,
I am happy to inform you that I got my UK Student Visa today. I posted here 2 weeks ago asking for advise on how to go about my successful appeal. But unfortunately there was not much response to my peculiar case, except one from TonyTone (Appreciated). Now I know why there was no response from the socalled 'big guns'. Why? God do not want them to take credit for anything in this, at all. Therefore, I give God ALL the glory.
While, it may be good to seek advise on obtaining your student or any visa, it is sometimes ideal to go with your gut feelings. I did exactly that, and I thank God I did. Just a recap: I applied last year. Got denied. Appealed. Successful. Got an email last month to come for visa. Come with the former school admission letter, the email advised. Problem: Did not apply for deferment in the school. I had chosen another Uni in England. I added 2+2 together. It is a new system. If I go on basis of Successful Appeal without letter from same school. Its a forgone conclusion. I was at the crossroads when I asked for advise from the forum. To cut a long story short, I applied in the new category with all papers intact. Fees paid. And here I am this afternoon I got my visa. Valid till January 2011. I am in for a postgraduate course.
As you read this, help me say THANK YOU, LORD.
Am HAVING SAME PROBLEM ALSO SO,BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO AS I HAVE SUBMITTED MY PASSPORT 2 MONTHS AGO BUT STILL YET TO COLLECT MY VISA FOR WORKING HOLIDAY.

funkybaby, Akolawole, I need your attention on this subject; why would the embassy hold on to one' s passport after you had won an appeal and with all relevant document submitted for collection,u were being given a slip for collection and after 1 month and some 3 weeks they still tell you its not ready for collection. what do you think must have happened and why the delay? and during this period of 1 month and 3 weeks you had mailed and called them severally and the response they give is that, its still worked upon or nit yet ready check back next week.Am really worried about these, do pls help me out on what step to take on dis issue.

@denmzy47, hi,

why has it taken this long? and why do you think you were told to submit those many documents after your appeal was allowed? didn't you submit all that for the hearing?

my appeal for the workng holiday maker visa was also allowed and i recently got a call from the embassy telling me to drop my passport on any working day, i've done that already and look forward to next wednesday, i wasn't told to add anything else.

i wish you Godspeed.
my brother am looking on to God. cause it baffles me for this to take so long, but am looking to going
there next week tuesday as I am asked to check back after 1 week which monday makes it 1 week.

I would like everyone in the travel section to help me out on this.i read thru these travel section ever since the time i applied for a an entry visa to the UK for guides. For security i would hold back personal information.so, i applied for working holiday maker before it was scrapped to point base scheme and was denied but appealed which took several months and finally i won the appeal and was called to present some documents; bank statements, letter of employment, payslips, and internatonal passport. which i submitted and my bank was called which my account officer informed me of. actually i was given a slip to come back after 2weeks which i did go back and was told its not ready yet,and i should check back in 2weeks time again whcih after a week i tot i should send a mail to them regarding my case and which i got a reply the next day that it still not ready yet.after the 2 weeks given i decided to go over with my slip to ask as it is 2weeks already and to my suprise it still not ready and was told by the guy i met in room 2 to send a male to them again as he told me maybe its yet to be prepared. i got furious and went back home and even called some nairalanders on this travel section on this issue and was told not to worry that it will be ready.before the end of this week i got a male to check back again after 1 week and i really don't know wat to do now, either to mail them again or wat do you guys think i should do?
