Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Graduate Engineer & Other Engineering Roles At ExxonMobil by dennizman(m): 10:37am On Feb 24, 2019
eminemkayc:

Yes, for the experienced hire under design engineer category, we were only four that made it to the last stage. The stage before this, we were about eight in number.

Hi eminemkayc, was this still a normal interview session or just a chat with the manager of that department? A friend mentioned that last stages usually involve a casual chat with the dept manager or so. Also, any idea how many people are going to be taken out of the 4 u just mentioned? I wonder why they still want to screen from 4 people. I have not been buzzed after my last interview, so still praying hard. Maybe calling at this stage varies by department. I just wanted to know if I should still prepare for a fresh normal interview as opposed to my friends advise that it will merely be a casual chat.

Thanks a lot for your volunteered info here so far. We appreciate.
Video Games And Gadgets For Sale / Re: [SOSOGAMES] Now Offer Payment On Delivery Nationwide by dennizman(m): 5:24pm On Dec 24, 2014
Don't quite comment much on this section of nairaland but I believe it's fair that I commend this guy and his genuine business tenets. I ordered for several ps4 games and requested for it to be delivered to port Harcourt. And then I made payments to the company account no. The next day I was called by a courier and was handed my games. Plus they all worked.

I find this highly commendable.

Keep it up SOSO games.
Phones / Re: Som1 Pls Testify On Dstv Mobile 4me B4 I Gt It: by dennizman(m): 7:29pm On Jul 27, 2008
the phone is quite alrite and fun, but uv got to support the memory with a mem card to put stuffs on the fone as the inbuilt memory is kinda little.
the dstv channels are fixed so theres no option of choosing the channels u want, 10 channels only but averagely fair.the major bane i v got with the fone is dat it doesnt come with a spare batt, and u cant get it easily, hence if u want to watch tv all the time, u must be ready to go out with ur charger everywhere u go, the batt life is reeasonably fair anyway considering all it has to take, if uv got any other questions to ask,i m listening.
Phones / Re: Mtn Dstv Mobile by dennizman(m): 7:16pm On Jul 27, 2008
dear brethrens, this issue isnt one to raise vocal bottles over, actually,as supposed, all phones with the dvb-h tech should access the dstv funct. but mtn paticularly had the zte phones encrypted, hence for now, not all fones with the funct can view it, i own the zte phone too

i v been mostly viewing the posts on the phones section offline, theres been quite an un-called-for rain of insults on the owner of this topic. although i might seem like a cohort for not been a regular/active poster here, but the guy is truely for real.as i earlier said,i v been reading the posts on nairaland offline for a long time now because i cant post messages due to the network limitation imposed by the gateway as a result of the free surfing bypass.i got the guys details and i called him for the info, i m currently surfing the web without a dime charge now, believe it or not folks.maybe we should just give a fellow the benefit of doubt sumtyms, its realy for real,i assure u;just get to inquire more from him, u l just be amazed at how sumone could bypass network billings, thanks octwins(the guy dat kept telling u of the security limitation hinderance today).

PS: If i say i m not expecting sum counter-lashings from sum of our supposedly-thought saucy regulars, then i must have swallowed a 'naive' overdoze, so,hit me guys,

Tanks too hayprof, yeah, true word, vmobile is the only free network at the moment, gprs wise, but they get so slow in the day, it seema theres notin to talk about mtel, why even bother? i expect their service will be poor anyway,
Phones / Re: Comparing Vmobile, MTN, Glo and MTEL GPRS Browsing by dennizman(m): 5:20pm On Aug 12, 2006
hello every body, its been quite a while, still on d topic, glo has been stable 4 a while now and impressive, mtn has also been okay, although they cut out their service anytime they wish, vmobile has been the most used network this period becos of their free service, and dats the reason why its usually slow in the day, but faster at nite, still no new word on mtel,
Phones / Re: Comparing Vmobile, MTN, Glo and MTEL GPRS Browsing by dennizman(m): 5:26pm On Mar 21, 2006
Hi guys, long time.well it seems mtn now cant be used to send or reply posts on nairaland, all it knows now is to report one annoying error,"http504 service unavailable". Glo is now kind of erratic in their service.i mean the gprs service always goes on and off lately, 'vmobile connects, although you might just have to wait for hours, generally, gprs isnt that fine as usual,
Phones / Re: Sony Ericsson or Nokia - which is better? by dennizman(m): 8:37am On Jan 03, 2006
The arguement here is really crooked,i m sorry to say.whether it is SE or nokia, what we are supposed to use as a debating subject should vary since both phones have where they beat each other. Talking about longevity, nokia is no doubt the king due to its longer date of use till its end time. Talking of durability, reliability or other qualities in this line,it much depends on the model and users preference. Coming to phone functions and tasking, similarly comparable models of both phones will show that sonyericson is better. Nokia has the market at the moment, and is selling more than se,but in truce,it cant be compared with se in its functions and high-tech...<from conventional sources>.

guys vmobile at the instant is as fast as flash...perhaps its because its just some minutes to 8am ,and there is less traffic now...glo still has its hardly-interrupted gprs signal on, while mtn is also cool but fluctuating...good day all nairaland users.

Hi guys its been quite a long time. Our service providers have been trying i would say at the moment. Mtn is not doing bad,so is glo and vmobile is also far from the rest, only that it sends too much of errors when trying to access some sites. No words still on mtels claim of gprs service,or is anyone having any clues...not lies sha!
Phones / Re: Comparing Vmobile, MTN, Glo and MTEL GPRS Browsing by dennizman(m): 7:41pm On Dec 18, 2005
Hi all...it seems the formally hailed vmobile is now f***ing up. Their service is either too slow or completely unavailable...as for mtn, they are far better than before but of recent the case is always "http error:connection timeout."...the service no doubt is available, but it is always sending the above server error...all hands are still up for glo. No news still for the proposed 3g dreamers who havnt even got their normal gprs to work, mtel"...we are still waiting for our rumour mongers
Phones / Re: Comparing Vmobile, MTN, Glo and MTEL GPRS Browsing by dennizman(m): 9:04pm On Dec 17, 2005
Hi all...mamba sorry for the break in com,the settings for the glo on pc is the same as that on the previously written site...a friend of mine had got it set up for quite a while but i dont like using glo for the surfing now since i still got a free option.,but its connection rate is quite cool... talking about the general status of the gprs connection speed on all the lines,i think we have to reverse our previous statement about mtn...they have been doing really fine for about a month now.with very little hassles...glo still remain as usual, undisputed for now,as for v-mobile,i actually just arrived from school and there is no vmobile signal there, so i m just trying to access its own speed, although i m posting with it now...still no news from mtel now.those who claim to have the settings for it should be proud to come out with it 1st,else i believe its a blatant lie for now...............*some news for seun-i have noticed for long now that one cannot login with mtn,but can do with the rest.

hi all...still on that last discussion i think the settings for glo full internet differs from the usual wap setting...see gosmartmobile.com for further details..
Phones / Re: Comparing Vmobile, MTN, Glo and MTEL GPRS Browsing by dennizman(m): 5:17pm On Dec 07, 2005
About the manual configuration stuff, for phones which cant get the push message automaticaly,it is no big deal.once you know the settings, its just as easy as imputing the settings on the phone yourself. What people still dont understand is that you might have correctly put the settings on your phone but your glo line might not have been provisioned for the service. So it is necessary you call their customer care service to inquire if they have provisione ur line for the service.(unlike mtn that you l just send a text "settings" to 3888. Talking about manual configuration, some phones cannot be manually configured for browsing services other than the company's service. Some might give room for other manual settings but of which you must enter the company's homepage first before accessing ur bookmark or entering your url... Other types can allow for any line of settings(mostly nokia, samsung etc...)... Most nec phones i have seen cannot be configured manually with other settings.
Phones / Re: Comparing Vmobile, MTN, Glo and MTEL GPRS Browsing by dennizman(m): 4:58pm On Dec 07, 2005
About that using glo line as a modem for laptop internet connection,i just set up the connection manually on the laptop as usually(using *99# as the dial up number) and i made glogwap my default browser setting on my mobile and it was up.however,i didnt stay up for long cos i didnt want glo to whip my cash... Although i think they charge #20 per kb 12am-6am.<reference_gosmartmobile.com>* % note% i think you have to call glo customer care to demand for the service for full internet connection using phone as modem;i m not sure cos i didnt request for it myself, the glo line i use for surfing was given to of by a friend. Probably,he had done that but i dont know sha, though i l try it when i get another line sha... Peace alllll...
Phones / Re: Comparing Vmobile, MTN, Glo and MTEL GPRS Browsing by dennizman(m): 1:18pm On Dec 05, 2005
Hi people, was gone for quite a while...sorry though, was on a tasking course...so back to the matter,"gprs" .which is more reliable at the moment. As usuall glo has remained the fastest,as for v-mobile,i m not too sure because i m in benin(okada) now and there is no v-mobile service there now.<very painful>. As for mtn, they have maintained their top record as the slowest network "gprs-related"... Although i used it to surf on my laptop with my phone as the modem, the connection rate was just too slow for comfort, after making my emergency researchs for 45-50 mins,i ended the dial up...using glo line as a dial -up modem for the computer later on really accentcted the point that glo for now remained the boss(no current idea of v-mobile's dial-up speed yet)...mtn connected at a much slower rate<115.2kbps>...and for emphasis sake, mtn has a very erratic billing rate...although for 1 week now its been free sha...think i v far out-written my usualls;perhaps, its because i have long since posted...peace!

Guys it seems that bad as the mtn network has been criticised for its poor gprs provision, it has quite a fast speed at night. Seems its because of less network jams and usage at that particular time.
