Can't still believe this, while millions of Nigerians are wailing about the electricity Bill hike by PHED, here's what we are being billed for the month of March. The only change I've noticed on the bill is the increase on the rate per Kwh from 15.09 to 24.91 per Kwh.

I was shocked because I never bought anything worth #20,000... And the #20,000 credit alert showed that the POS was used in Ikeja, Lagos...but the supermarket I bought things at is in Ibadan.
My question now is, can I get my #20,000 back or have I been permanently scammed? Or has this ever happened to anybody?? snapshots of the debit alert or we dnt bilivit Girltee1: Please I'm really sorry this post is going to be a bit long.

Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Challenges Lions To A Fight At Zoo & Almost Died by deparagon(m): 7:18pm On Mar 11, 2016 |
contactmorak: According to Daily Post South Africa, a Zion Christian Church prophet who was filled with the Holy Spirit and thought the Lord wanted to use him to show His power over animals, recently challenged a pride of lions to a duel in the Kruger National Park.
Pretoria based man of God, Prophet Alec Ndiwane was with members of of his church in the Kruger National Park where they had gone sightseeing when he suddenly went into a trance and started to speak in tongues. Ahead of them were the lions busy eating their impala.
Prophet Ndiwane must have thought he was the biblical Samsom or Daniel as he opened the car door and charged towards the lions. On seeing the man running towards them, the abandoned their food and ran towards the prophet.
Ndiwane immediately came to his senses when he saw the predators. He turned and ran for his life. But before he could safely reach the confines of the car, one lion had snapped its paws on him causing serious damage to his buttocks. He was saved by the game ranger who fired shots into the air with his gun to scare the lions away.
The injuries the prophet sustained was so severe that he had to be rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.
"I don't know what came over me," Prophet Ndiwane confessed,"I thought the Lord wanted to use me to show His power over animals. Is it not we were given dominion over all creatures of the earth?" he asked.

We were trained to be proper ladies..walk erect don't stoop, don't cross the lawn, hair must be done in a certain way, ), use deodorants, speak gently like a lady etc etc. We only saw boys on special occasions e,g Literary and debating events, inter house sports day. Completely sheltered by our dear teachers and Nuns. Then there came this young unmarried teacher, ready to take us into the world of Poetry, into Shakespeare, into the mind of Wole Soyinka...and also make us fall in love with J.p Clark's Abiku.. Christopher Okigbo's ..Before you mother Idoto poem was not left out. Wao.,,he blew our young highly impressionable minds. Nobody missed Literature classes. Every girl hung on his words pretending to understand this "deeeeep" and very intelligent young man. He made the literary world to come alive and many a girl had a huge crush on him. Even as matured ladies now, we all still smile when we remember.
At that time parents were vigilant, female teachers were extra vigilant leaving nothing to chance. I believe this our teacher never took advantage of the very vulnerable and very young girls in his care.He could have picked any.,...innocence written all over.
This brings me to the point I want to raise, DO SCHOOLS HAVE GUIDELINES FOR MALE TEACHERS/FEMALE STUDENTS AND VICE VERSA INTERACTIONS?
The reality we are facing is that the girl child is becoming increasingly more vulnerable with several predators around and it has been said that Rape occurs once opportunity arises and there is access to the Victim.
There is an urgent need for vigilance, Yunusa is already claiming that it was a love affair with Ese not Abduction. There is an urgent need to ensure that our girls wake up to the reality of these times. I don't want to go into the various tales of teachers engaged in very steamy relationships with young girls but schools sometimes cover up to protect their brand name.
May I end this by advising Schools to develop guidelines that must be strictly enforced and to ensure that inappropriate behavior by anyone in authority is promptly reported...We are no longer in the 70s and 80s when we trusted everyone to do the right thing...,WATCH AND PRAY.
May The Lord protect our girls.

Politics › Man, 24, Claims To Be Jonathan’s Son by deparagon(op): 11:44am On Jan 18, 2015 |
A report that emerged from an online blogger, Chukwudi Iwuchukwu, has alleged that one Ibime Belema-Jonathan, a 24- year-old native of Nembe, Baylesa State, has announced on the Twitter yesterday that he is one of the President’s illegitimate sons.
The report from the blogger said: “According to Belema- Jonathan, his mother was a receptionist in a Port Harcourt hotel (which shall remain undisclosed) when she met Goodluck nearly 25 years ago. Their relationship was made private because of the risks it posed to Goodluck’s then fledgling political career.” According to the blogger, “He has decided to disclose this information after recently being informed by his mother, who had just passed away. It is his desire for his father to assume and fulfil his fatherly duties after a lifetime of absence”, that led to the revelation.
Even though the blogger, Chukwudi Iwuchukwu, who claims the Nigerian Law School, Lagos, has his address, admitted that, “we are in a season of political campaign and anything can come up, but the resemblance is striking.”
However, the Presidency through Dr Reuben Abati, the special adviser to the President on media, emphatically said that the President does not have any illegitimate son by whatever name, and dismissed the report, calling it a cheap propaganda from the opposition party.
According to Abati, the timing of the report, coming in the heat of election campaigns, shows the desperation of some people. “It is good for them to know that propaganda and cheap blackmails do not win elections. Nigerians know who they want and who they will vote for. Churning out such blackmail story will not win the election. This is also coming at a time that the opposition parties signed the Abuja Accord meant to ensure that election campaigns are issue-based and do not degenerate into blackmail.”

Romance › 8 Wrong Things Girls Check Before Marrying A Guy by deparagon(op): 8:14am On Jan 11, 2015 |
Many Ladies are known to base their marital decisions on things that will not endure a life-time. These have led many of them into wrong marriages and life time bondage. We need to identify and deal with them: 1) HEIGHT: Every girl’s dream is to marry a tall, dark guy with a baritone voice, I wonder where they got the idea that tall guys are better in marriage. Hey Girls, tall guys can give you tall problems; it is not the height that matters but the depth of the guy in God and in character. 2) MUSCLE: Muscular and heavy looking guys are also fortunate, they are seen to be good suitors, and girls do say “they look manly” “they look like real men”. Sorry Girls, muscles do not make a real man, character and ability to shoulder responsibility do. A guy with muscle without character will use his muscles to deal with you and batter your beautiful face. 3) A WELL SET HOUSE: A guy with a well set house is the dream of any girl any day. Many girls will throw caution into the wind to grab a man who have a house with King size; beautiful Italian Setter, micro wave oven, home theater, refrigerator, gas cooker, Plasma TV,6 by 6 bed, well stuff Kitchen, Dining table, washing machine, dish washers, split unit air conditioner etc is a dream catch for girls any day. Sorry girl, a well set house is good but it may be a well set trouble if the guy is not a man of character, manners or discretion, he will make the house look like a prison yard for you. 4) FAT BANK ACCOUNT: Girls are fond of trying to know how rich a guy is by checking the guy’s phones for bank alerts. They joyfully decide to marry a guy when they discover the guy is very rich with fat Bank balance. What a mistake? They don’t want to know where the money is coming from; they don’t even want to know what the guy does for a living. What concerns them is the money that is available to be spent. Many girls ended up finding themselves entangled for life in this kind of situation, don’t base your marriage on GREED, it won’t turn to GREEN. 5) PLACE OF WORK: Some of our girls are in the habit of making marital decision base on the place a guy works. You dare not talk of marriage to them if you are a Teacher or civil servant. You dare not propose them if you are working with a small firm, or one man business. What an error? Girls note that, that a guy works in ACCESS BANK does not mean he will give you ACCESS to his heart or peace of mind. A guy that works in SHELL may put your life in a SHELL forever, you may not be the FIRST in the life of a guy that works in FIRST BANK, a guy that work in GUARANTEE TRUST BANK may not GUARANTEE your future. He may be working in NESTLE but not SETTLE you at home, So it is not about where he is working but about who is working in Him, God or devil. 6) ROMANCE: A young lady said, “The guy is romantic, hot and sexy, i will marry him” Stop girl!!!!, Romance is not enough for marriage. The truth is, most so called romantic guys don’t remain like that after wedding. Marry a guy base on qualities that will endure, romance don’t last forever, go and ask married women. 7) TYPE OF CAR: A whole lots of girls will be enticed by a guy driving a big and expensive car. Some will not even go out with a guy that does not have a car. If you want to mess yourself as a guy, ride on a bike to go and propose to a lady, you will hear the story of your life. Ladies, a guy that has a CAR may not CARE for you, life is not about CAR, it is about marrying somebody that will CARE for your future. AND: Most girls will readily marry anybody with US or UK passports, Lots of girls have destroyed their lives in the process of looking for somebody with a foreign passport to marry. RICH PARENT: Children of Rich parents are easy target for many young girls not because they are in love with them, but they know they will have access to money and connection. Many of these guys come from rich are pompous, cocky, proud and will be terrible and irresponsible husbands and fathers tomorrow but girls will not care about that, Most of these girls do live to regret their wrong decision. Don’t marry anybody just because the parents are rich, marry the person for who he is and the love you share together. http://totalfamilylife.com/2014/10/12-wrong-things-girls-check-before-marrying-a-guy/ |

Just got a press release from lawyer Festus Keyamo explaining that hisfriend andclient, ex-militant Asari Dokubo was arrested in Benin Republic today. Read the press release below... Tuesday, November 26, 2013, my friend and client, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, was arrested in Cotonou, Benin Republic, around the hours of 1:00pm and 2:00pm by the country’s gendarmes (Police Force). He was picked up around the Lubeleyi roundabout and taken to an unknown destination. We want to emphasise that Alhaji Dokubo-Asari carries on legitimate business and has been living partly in Benin Republic for many years now. In fact, he owns houses, schools and an academy in that country. All these places have been searched as at this evening and nothing incriminating was found. We think his arrest and detention is a ploy by certain forces in Nigeria in unholy alliance with the Beninoise government to keep him away as 2015 approaches. We call on the Nigerian government to immediately intervene and ensure that no harm befalls Alhaji Dokubo-Asari and to use all diplomatic means to secure his immediate release and safe return to Nigeria. Meanwhile, we shall be liaising immediately with our colleagues in that country to enforce his fundamental rights. Thank you. Source www.zealbook.com www.zealbook.com |
