PoliticsRe: Fulani Grazing Land Master Plan by Deprofessional(m): 7:56am On Feb 02, 2017
I am happy we in the south east and south south and parts of south west have stated clearly that no grazing reserve shall run through our lands.

They told us that 80% of the land mass of Nigeria belongs to them, so they must restrict their grazing activities in the North

We don't have land down south.

Nowenuse:
Your post OP is a very correct and true one.

The truth is that not just you southnerns are resenting this fact, a lot of middlebelters and northern christians are also victims.
Any middlebelter or northern minority who must go places or rise high must be a mouthpiece of the Hausa-fulanis and the funniest thing is that northern minorities outnumber Hausa-fulanis even in the north, but they (hausa-fulanis) have used religion, the emirate system and geo-zoning to divide northern minorities and frustrate the independent MIDDLEBELT STRUGGLE and identity just the same way they are brainwashing many yoruba muslims.

The truth is that unless the south can unite as one and include we middlebelters (especially christians), Hausa-fulanis will continue to rule and dominate our lives forever and ever.
Hausa-fulanis had the largest kingdoms and Sultanate when the British came and they were more exposed and enlightened than the rest of us at that time. So they did a lot to secure their interests permanently in the future of Nigeria forever. Our fathers did not secure ours and we are paying for this.

PoliticsRe: The South In Retrospect by Deprofessional(m):
@op

Flesh and blood did not give you the boldness to write this, but the Almighty did.

Each time I took a cursory look at the political structure of Nigeria, I have come to realise that the southerners are indeed stupid, selfish, and stark morons.

Is there any reason why Kano should have more local government than Lagos state? Is governance about people or land mass? Tell me why Kano and Jigawa federal constituencies should be more than the federal contutuencies in the south east. Do you believe that Kano is more populated than Lagos?

As at today 90% of federal appointments have gone to the North.

I am pained, even more, when I realised how the south has been deeply divided by the north in other to encourage Housa/fulani supremacy. It pains me that even our great politicians, academicians, and men of clouts have failed to realise that we have been subjugated to second class citizens in Nigeria.

We are our greatest enemy in the south. Look at the south east, south west and the south south, none of these regions has ever agreed on one thing in common. An Hausa man told me during the run up to the presidential election that what mattered to them is to have their own man at the helm of affairs. According to him, it doesnt matter whether the person turns out to be the worst or the best president in Nigeria. What they need is their own man.

Have you ever heard the North east and North west fighting themselves. No. But everyday south east and south west will never allow us to read good write up in Nairaland except writings that reveal deep sitted enmity.

I have said it before and will say it again, the day the south will unite to a common objective, that is the day that the region will be completely liberated. The middle belt will be more willing to align with the south than the murderous North.

The other day, there were revelations here in Nairaland that the CBN is selling USD for as low as $1 to N197 and sometimes $1 to N0.61 to some companies with northern interest. and tomorrow they will tell us that one fool from the North is the richest man in the black world.

South it is time to wake up. Lets for once assert our authority.

Achebe said in the book Aro of God, " it is only a fool that does not know when the wood from ukwa tree is shared".
Achebe also wrote in things fall apart ' if you agree, your Chi (GOD) will also agree."

CareerPlease Advice On This Business by Deprofessional(op): 12:40pm On Jan 30, 2017
I want to increase my sources of income.

I intend doing this by buying a brand new KEKE and give the same out on HP to one of my church members.

I also want to Open a well equiped barbing saloon and give out same on HP to one of the boys in my church.

I want to receive all my money back within 2 year maximum.

How do I go about this? Those that have entered into Hp business before, please advice.

Should there be equity contributions from the would be operators?

Assuming a brand new KEKE cost N750,000.00, how much should I give it out on HP?

Assuming it cost me N750,000.00 to furnish a good barbing saloon + one year rent of store, how much should I give it out on HP?

What are the possible legal sides to it.

I will also welcome other business ideas apart from the above.

My advice to everyone living outside their state, particularly the young ones.

Any time you want to visit home, inform only your parents. Don't even let your best friends know.

If they see you and enquire when you will travel back, tell them a week after the date you intend to travel back. Eg if you intend to go back on Jan 4, tell you will travel January 11.

If you have a project, like building project, limit the places you go to in your village.
The easiest way you can be taken out in the village is through poisoning.

As for me, nothing enters my mouth outside my home in the village.

Since the 1914 amalgamation, too much has happened. From the first Igbo coup to Awo's betrayal of Ojukwu to date, the South has been divided deeply. What you're calling for sounds nice and rosy but it isn't feasible.
The British should've never amalgamated the North and the South. I have nothing against Northerners, and we are all Nigerians now, but the mere fact that they set up completely different ruling systems in the two protectorates, was, to me, a reason why we have failed to get along since independence. The indirect rule in the North allowed them to preserve their structure, and nothing really changed for them compared to the direct rule in the South.
So many things have happened since independence and it'll take far more than sweet words to unite the South again. The south is bitterly divided. That's just my observation. A mature person can quote me if they have any opposing views and let's talk.
Man I agree with you.

The greatest beneficiaries of a divided South is the North. Sometimes, I bring myself to believe that the north is in deed the master-mind of the disunity in the south.

If the South West is indeed desirous of forming an alliance with other southern regions, then Tinubu should do well to woo GEJ.

As at today, GEJ is the only person uniting the SE/SS. If Gej comes out tomorrow to convince the SS/SE on forming an alliance with SW, pronto, the idea will sail through.
PoliticsRe: Defection: South-west APC Leaders Await Tinubu's Directive by Deprofessional(m): 10:38am On Nov 11, 2016
[quote author=patriotic9jaboy post=50938606]This is to appeal to every southerners that our future is in our hands. A united south is what we need now to stand against northern oppression and divide and rule tactics. We must ensure we work together to restore power to the south by 2019. The north obviously has a grand plan of retaining power for so long and this is obvious in the way Tinubu is been put in check so as to limit his influence in the party decisions and made irrelevant in the scheme of things. We never expected such treatment from the north after all we did to support Buhari in the last election. Oyegun is obviously been used to fight a proxy war with Tinubu by the born to rule caliphate up north who will do anything to render his power bloc handicap so as to ensure their grip on power. We need the support our SS/SE brothers to make this happen. Lets us unite and forget all grievances. A united south can wrestle power away from the north with the support of Christian minorities in the middle belt and the north. GEJ was a bad president contrary to our thoughts in 2011 when we supported him massively with our votes. He failed woefully and corruption thrived to the highest heavens during his tenure. Contrary to the believe of our SS/SE brothers, yoruba's did not vote Jonathan out because of hatred or betrayal. He simply under-performed and did nothing for the SW region and even boasted that Igbo's are the backbone of his presidency forgetting that the SW supported him massively in 2011. Buhari appeared to be the messiah but so far, the hardship in the land is so unbearable and there is no end in sight to the present predicaments facing us as a nation. Buhari has no economic blueprint and his style of governance is archiac and filled with bad policies like banning forex for importation of consumer goods and releasing the same scarce forex for Islamic religious pilgrimage. It's a bad situation we are in and we need to co-operate to undo this mistake in 2019. Every one is facing hardship and bearing the brunt of inflation and recession irrespective of our tribes and regions. This is why we need the support of our SS/SE brothers in 2019 to vote buhari out. Let's form an alliance and forget past mis-deeds. We are better united in the south than been ruled by a primitive caliphate who believed they are born to rule without positive results....

God bless SW /SS and SE [/quote

I never knew in my widest imagination that any yoruba politician could actually call for a united south.

That accord was destroyed irredeeemably in 2015

PoliticsRe: Don't Be Silent, Declare Fulani Herdsmen Terrorists Now – Benue Elders To Buhari by Deprofessional(m): 5:07pm On Mar 31, 2016
neolboy:
Elders drawn from the three major tribes in Benue state have urged President Muhammadu Buhari to declare Fulani herdsmen’s invasion of the state as well as the gruesome massacre of villagers by the armed herders as act of insurgency and label the perpetrators as terrorists to be routed by the military.

They “observed that these invading Fulani Herdsmen have been allowed to bear sophisticated assault weapons unchallenged which is against all our extant laws.

The perpetrators and sponsors of such heinous crimes against humanity must be brought to justice.”

The elders explained that the meeting was necessitated by “the armed invasion and occupation of their land by Fulani herdsmen and the wanton killing of their people, destruction of homes and farmlands, raping of their wives and daughters in 15 Local Government Areas.

According to them, “The delay in setting up the Presidential Investigation Panel promised by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is becoming worrisome.

While carpeting the federal and state government for being unable to address the menace, the forum noted that the Fulani Herdsmen and Farmers conflict in Benue State, which started over two decades ago, has escalated from mere conflict to an invasion and occupation agenda amounting to terrorism.

“The inability of the President, the nation’s Army and Police Chiefs, and the Governor of Benue State to visit the worst affected communities of Agatu and the other aforementioned where recent mass murder attacks were carried out for on the spot assessment of the level of devastation indicates lack of seriousness deserving of the crisis.

This assertion is supported by the careless utterances of Governor Tanko Al-Makura of Nassarawa State that the attacks were mere “skirmishes” that could not be tagged genocide. This is also demonstrated by the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase who, with neither evidence nor a visit to any affected area, claimed that the reported casualty figure of 300 dead people in the Agatu attack was exaggerated.”

The elders urged the FG to tighten security and put in place measures to protect the country’s porous borders to prevent further continuous and uncontrolled entrance of international criminal elements, herdsmen and arms.

They urged the National Assembly to commence a public hearing on the Fulani herdsmen’s threat to national security without delay while the state lawmakers should enact laws to criminalize open grazing as it directly conflicts with the livelihood of Benue people which is crop farming.

“The Benue State Government should as a matter of urgency constitute an inclusive Judicial Panel of Enquiry for a public hearing on the state of security in Benue State.

“The office of the National Security Adviser should as a matter of urgency address the nation on the state of insecurity in the country particularly as it relates to the activities of Fulani Herdsmen.

“We advise that all relevant government agencies saddled with the responsibilities of home land security begin the process of disarming Fulani Herdsmen across the country to avoid a counter arms buildup by helpless communities in self defense.

“All Herdsmen in Benue State should relocate immediately to allow our farmers go to their farms without fear of being attacked as the farming season approaches in order to avoid severe famine next year.

“Our people and land owners particularly traditional rulers and chiefs should hence forth stop leasing our land for grazing purposes whether on a temporary basis or otherwise.

“Government should put in place infrastructure in form of good access roads to facilitate easy access of security operatives to these remote areas which are often subject of attack by these marauders.”

The forum called on the International community to rise to their plight by enforcing their fundamental human rights in the face of the incessant invasion of their land and killing and maiming of their people.
