Christianity EtcRe: The Once Saved Always Saved Gospel Is Really A Dangerous One by Depsui(m): 3:05pm On Oct 21, 2020

Yes, and I've repented over and over. Although, I don't know if you really want hear the truth or just want to argue: I don't argue, and usually ignore those who want to engage me in such.

Friend, the thing is "I don't want to sin". So if I slip up a bit somewhere, even in thought, I want to repent and settle it quickly. God's will is that we get rid of every KNOWN Sins, and then press on to perfection: becoming more and more like Christ. Another thing is keeping off from temptation.

It says, lead us not into temptation: BUT I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO GO ABOUT LOOKING FOR TEMPTATIONS...
According to the verse you quoted, you're going to hell and there's nothing you can do about it.

Read the 3verses again.

Yeah friend, that's why we got do violence to enter God's kingdom. It says, only few will find the way. Lukewarmness is not acceptable or else we get spat out of Jesus' mouth.

Luke 13:23-24 KJV
Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, [24] Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

1 Peter 4:18 KJV
And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

Matthew 7:21 KJV
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
So since you got saved, you've never committed any sin?

Hebrews 10:26-27,31 KJV
For if we "sin wilfully" after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth NO MORE sacrifice for sins,

[27] But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

[31] It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
The verse you quoted actually supports the once saved always saved doctrine partially.

The verse says that, if you commit any sin willfully after you get saved, the sin cannot be forgiven and you're going to hell fire. If we accept your interpretation of the verse, almost all Christians are going to hell fire and there's nothing they can do about it.

wow, very deep sir...
my own narrative....
The sound of BANGER(knockout) in June can be easily mistaken for GUNSHOT or BOMB explosion.... BUT IT DOES NOT MEAN OUR EARS ARE NOT FUNCTIONING properly.

So also if a person sees a piece of paper flying in the air and mistakes it for a bird.... we can not say the person has a bad eyesight.

NO ONE IS PERFECT.... Only GOD is perfect and beyond mistakes.

A prophet should not be judged only by if his predictions come to pass or not... BUT by the Spirit with which he gives it. Not many are able to discern the spirit of a prophet.
Prophecies are NOT final verdicts.... they can be tempered with and even hindered by GOD himself, or the Devil and his demons orrr by the very person that receives the prophecy.

Prophecies are possible outcomes if conditions are met. grin

Just as a good maths teacher can solve a mathematical question in a wrong way, so also a true genuine prophet can be mistaken in his delivery of what was revealed to him.
Very nicely put

In as much as we should all view the body of Christ as one and we shouldn't condemn any church of God. I believe that, everyone has a ministry to which they will fit into perfectly. Therefore, before becoming the member of any church, pray about it and listen to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Christianity EtcDoes A Wrong Prophecy Mean That The Prophet Is False? by Depsui(op): 3:34pm On Oct 18, 2020
Personally, i think no. A wrong prophecy does not necessarily mean that the prophet is false.
He might just have mistakenly listen to the voice of the flesh or the devil.

I believe that we can also apply this to our personal life. The fact that you've heard God speak to you doesn't mean that every voice you hear is from God.

There are four sources of thoughts
1. God
2. Your born again spirit
3. The devil or demons
4. Flesh or unrenewed mind

It is therefore important to always judge anything we hear in our mind with scriptures.

If the thought/voice glorifies self or is against the bible, it is not from God.

I'll still like to hear your thoughts about the issue

He will definitely resurrect during the resurrection of the dead!

He used the blood of animals not his own blood so NO! he can't have that position.

YES! He served as God at a point in time just like Jesus also served as God at a point in time! Exodus 7:1

Did moses resurrect?

This thread is talking about resurrection, why are you bringing moses into the discussion if moses did not resurrect.

You nkor, do you bother to read the Bible?
When Paul said “changed”, is he saying it is the former fleshly body that will be transformed?

Won't the spiritual body the chosen ones have after the first resurrection be a “changed” one?
What concerns the fleshly body with the spiritual body?
Yes for the bolded

Also, yes the dead will have a changed one

Only Jesus Christ was prophecied about that His body will not decay

Paul called you an “unreasonable person”, when he explained that “What you sow is not made alive unless first it dies.”—1Corinthians 15:36
According to Paul in that verse, nobody will have a spiritual body if they don't die first.
I said transformed, you said disappear. Do you bother to read my replies?

The verse you quoted is talking about those dead in christ.

Please read the whole chapter carefully, it cant take more than 30 minutes

Now you're telling me I should go and read it again? grin Oh the irony grin
When did i ask you to disregard scriptures?

I asked you not to get confused by the terminologies used. Why in the world will i ask you to disregard scriptures.

Your problem is that you don't know how to interpret scriptures. You will just take out a verse and start giving it your own interpretation. You have to look at the context to know what a verse really means. That's why i always quote like 3 or more verses, to give you the context.

Moses's body was taken away by God's angels so if Moses said Jesus will be a prophet like him, then it means the same thing that happened to Moses's body is exactly what happened to Jesus' body! smiley
Since Moses is similar to Jesus
1. Did moses resurrect?
2. Is moses seated at the right hand of God the Father?
3. Is moses God.

Be careful in your comparison of moses to Jesus Christ

Hebrews3:1-6

1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.

3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.

4 For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.

5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;

6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

That they have some things in common doesn't give you the right to compare a creature(moses) to the creator( Jesus Christ

Like i said earlier, it looks like you're just assuming. Because, there's zero scriptural backing to a statement you made emphatically. On an issue as important as the resurrection of Jesus Christ, you shouldn't be trying to use old testament prophets to guess what happened to the only begotten Son of God.
Christianity EtcRe: After Jesus’ Resurrection, Was His Body Flesh Or Spirit? by Depsui(m): 6:51pm On Oct 17, 2020
DappaD:
There is no scripture in the Bible that talks about that.

Let me use your terminology now, if any of the “saints” or chosen ones die today, do their body disappear after you bury it in the ground or does it decay?
Because whatever happened to Jesus' body is what will happen to the bodies of the “saints”. (1Corinthians 15:49)
The bolded will happen on the day of resurrection not immediately after death.

The prophecy of the body not decaying was only about Jesus Christ.

People alive at rapture will be have their natural body transformed to a spiritual body. The dead people will also be resurrected with a spiritual body.

1corithians15;51-53

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

Assumptions? Far from that.

Are you aware that Moses foretold the coming of Jesus as a prophet, just like how he[Moses] was one?
Please read Deuteronomy 18:15,18 and compare with Luke 7:16, John 7:40, Acts 3:22

Moses went on a 40-day sojourn on Mount Sinai(Exodus 34:28) where he got the Ten Commandments from Jehovah's angel(Galatians 3:19)/Jesus remained in the wilderness for 40days and 40nights and it's likely that he got instructions from Jehovah on those days. (Matthew 4:1-2)

Through God's holy spirit, Moses performed miraculous works which Jesus also did.(Exodus 14:21/Matthew 9:35)

Moses set the sons of Israel free from captivity in Egypt(Exodus 12:37). Jesus came to
1. release the lost sheep in the house of Israel from spiritual captivity.(Matthew 15:24, Luke 4:18)
2. set obedient mankind free from enslavement to sin and death by means of a ransom sacrifice.(Matthew 20:28, Hebrews 10:12-18)

After the death of Moses, his body was not recovered because Jehovah removed it.(Deuteronomy 34:6-7) so if you can find out what happened to Moses' body, you can also know what happened to Jesus' fleshly body.
I know about moses, it was written clearly in the bible. Am asking about Jesus Christ.

Do you have any scripture that talked about God taking the body of Jesus Christ?

MaxInDHouse has already exposed your erroneous interpretation.
What more do you want? If there is a spirit exists inside a human being, then why did apostle Paul say at 1Corinthians 15:46 that “What is spiritual is NOT first. What is physical[natural] is first, and afterward what is spiritual.” ?
Did he mix up the two? Why are you doing so now?
That's talking about a different thing entirely.

We have a physical body now, after resurrection we will have a spiritual body. But our spirits will never die

Nollywood movie version don enter your head my guy, man is just a living soul with the breath of life just like any other creature! cheesy
Man is a spirit

Act 17:16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to Idolatry.

Rom 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

1Co 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

1Co 5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

1Co 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

2Co 2:13 I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia.

All this verses clearly states that the spirit is different from the body and soul. If you meditate on them, you'll also realise that its not just a life force or whatever you think it is.

Jehovah God saw fit to remove the body of Jesus Christ, just as he had previously done with Moses. (Deuteronomy 34:5,6) In order to fulfill what David said at Psalm 16:10 that the body of Jesus would not decompose.

If God hadn't removed Jesus' body, then the disciples wouldn't have fully understood what resurrection to life really meant because at that time there were a lot of things they didn't understand.
That's why several years later—after being taught by holy spirit(John 14:26, 16:13), they were now able to fully grasp the nature of Christ's resurrection and that's why Paul and Peter were inspired to write that Jesus was put to death in the weak/fleshly body but was resurrected as an immortal spirit body.(1Corinthians 15:42-44, 1Timothy 3:16, 1Peter 3:18)

About my post
Philippians 1:22-24

22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.

23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

24 Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

Paul here was saying that HE wanted to leave his flesh(body) and go to be with the Lord. But it was more needful for them if HE still abides in the flesh(body)

The "I" in passage therefore cannot be his body because he wanted to leave his flesh to go and be with the Lord.

The "I" is talking about his spirit, which is where the Holy Spirit is( when you get saved)

Once your breath of life is gone, your spirit and your soul seperates from your body.
