Instead of hunger strike, why don't you make it very profitable by turning it to fasting and prayer and see better results

Health / There Should Be A Place To Help People Commit Suicide by Depsui(m): 9:59am On Feb 21
There are suicide hotlines to help people not to take a permanent decision for a temporary problem. But what of people that have thought about it for years and still want to proceed?

There should be like hospital where people are offered the chance to exit the world as painless as possible.

There can also be a way in which the person gets to donate their organs to people who really want to live. Why is society bent on forcing people to live despite the over population on earth?

I studied Mathematics and graduated with second class upper in 2022. Since then no job.

I'm hereby starting a 50 days hunger strike to protest the hardship in Nigeria.

Please support.

Let me guess, Hamas is not firing any rocket? If not for the Iron dome Israel will be a parking lot by now unfortunately its Gaza that's becoming devastated.

Don't start wars you can't win and start crying when you lose.

You failed to mention that they didn't start any of those wars, they were attacked and responded.

Islamic countries don't want a Jewish country in the middle east, unfortunately there's nothing they can do about it.

The more they fight against Israel, the more land they lose

Answer the question sincerely, why do Palestinian want to exterminate the Israelis? Just be sincere and answer the question please. No sentiment attach.

Because they don't want Jews in the middle east. They believe only arab and Muslim countries should be in the middle east.

If they are married traditionally, they are already husband and wife.
So the church joining is just a ceremonial exercise.

This is nonsense. How does traditional marriage supercede church marriage?

I hope you are not mistaking true Christians as those who do 100 days fasting, stay up all night doing vigils or one man shouting gibberish for an hour and people interjecting "Amen!" whenever he stops to catch a breathe. That's a higher level of madness in display.

/

Now you're talking about an important point. I believe there's nothing wrong with 100 days fasting and night vigils. But the most people don't practice true Christianity. If 50 percent of Christians in Nigeria practice true Christianity then Nigeria will be paradise.

When US was founded, the first thing the founding fathers did was the separation of the church and the State way before the industrial revolution. Religion has always been a clog in the wheel of progress.

/

Almost all the early US Presidents were Christians. Separation of church and state? You've forgotten "God bless America". Until recently prayers were said daily in public schools and they're just now banning religious books in public schools in the US.

There's an entire political party( Republican) centered on Christian beliefs. Why do you think all this woke people hate Trump? And why do you think US and Israel is close?

Most Nobel prize winners are Jews ( Religious). There are also more Christian inventors than atheists. So religion has never impeded progress.
Career / Re: Why "Follow Your Passion Is Dangerous Advice. by Depsui(m): 6:45am On Sep 05, 2023
All of you that have passion are lucky o. Passion gives you focus, determination, drive and a goal to look forward to. It makes life worth it when you eventually achieve it. But it can also be disastrous if you don't reach your target.

We that don't have passion for anything particularly I pray God helps us o ( I know I'm not the only one). I just need a well paying job. God is my own passion.

The question you should have asked is—“why are industrialized nations that provide practical solution to life shunning religion that has taken foothold in impoverished nations?”

Na you dey pray pass. Na you dey suffer pass. You are busy preparing for after life while neglecting to live bountifully in the present life. Do the people who brought the religion to you know what you don’t know? It may seem so. Oyibo no dey invest in a business wey profit no dey. If they truly believe the stuff they preached to you, the cost of visa to heaven will not be affordable and sure, no blacks will be allowed.

/

The question you should ask is, When this nations got developed were they religious? The answer is yes. Christianity and Science works together. Who brought education to Nigeria? You don't know how many scientists and inventors that were Christians.

Tell me ten things that atheists in Nigeria has invented that the whole world is using.

Go check the threads here. I never stand for Mmesomma either. 1 failed invitation is enough, 2 failed invitation is absolutely ridiculous, and definitely 3 failed invitation is something else I have no words for. This is her trade and she should get serious at it. I have no doubt that she may be a very clean athletes but come on, failing 1,.......2, and 3 consecutive doping invites give room for raising eye-brow!

I want to stay neutral though, but certainly no excuse for failing medical invites requisite for your profession.

The association should perhaps have a penalty, like if you fail one invite, you are excluded from 3 tournaments. If you miss 2, you are excluded from another 5, and if you miss 3, you are banned for life.

It's just my take though.

You don't even know what you're talking about. She wasn't invited for any test. They were trying to locate her for a test on a random day and they couldn't. If she knew they wanted to test her and she avoided them, then that's a different case. But she didn't know.

The rule is that they have to know an athletes location at all times during the season ( which I believe is a stupid rule). They simply couldn't locate her on a day she had no idea they were going to test her.

They idea of random tests is okay but they should have simply contacted her for the test.
