CaptainFM1: Go check the threads here. I never stand for Mmesomma either. 1 failed invitation is enough, 2 failed invitation is absolutely ridiculous, and definitely 3 failed invitation is something else I have no words for. This is her trade and she should get serious at it. I have no doubt that she may be a very clean athletes but come on, failing 1,.......2, and 3 consecutive doping invites give room for raising eye-brow!
I want to stay neutral though, but certainly no excuse for failing medical invites requisite for your profession.
The association should perhaps have a penalty, like if you fail one invite, you are excluded from 3 tournaments. If you miss 2, you are excluded from another 5, and if you miss 3, you are banned for life.
It's just my take though. You don't even know what you're talking about. She wasn't invited for any test. They were trying to locate her for a test on a random day and they couldn't. If she knew they wanted to test her and she avoided them, then that's a different case. But she didn't know. The rule is that they have to know an athletes location at all times during the season ( which I believe is a stupid rule). They simply couldn't locate her on a day she had no idea they were going to test her. They idea of random tests is okay but they should have simply contacted her for the test. |

iLoveYouToo: There’s no was to ascertain whether she was on banned substances or not due to the passage of time. In reality her name is soiled forever.
The spontaneity of those invitations to test is what make them credible.
I wish her the best You're saying nonsense, it wasn't an invitation. The rule itself is stupid, they test them before and after every race. Amusan herself has been tested at least 10 times this year, how many more test do you need? They need to release the list of how many times they tested all the other athletes as well, because she claimed she was tested more times than other athletes and I believe her. Plus she didn't actually avoid any scheduled test. She just didn't reveal her location some times. Which I think is a stupid rule, why will you have to know where an athlete is everyday throughout the year? They could just contact her anyday they wanted to test her. |

Yemmysworld91: Churches have welfare account. The remaining balance is possibly kept in the church welfare account to help other members who may be in need. The family has no right to ask for the whole money. But the pastor must be accountable to the church if the money is for welfare. Then why didn't the pastor give the man money for the operation from the welfare account? Most churches nowadays just take, take, take, they don't give anything back. And now they're trying to take someone else's money. |
Family › Re: Is This Family Right To Demand For The Whole Money? by Depsui(m): 5:25pm On Jul 11, 2023 |
Ate247: The pastor did the right thing. There are other person in that church that need help. He can't be coming up the pupit to always asked for help. The family is greedy. You requested for a particular amount and was given. I hate such people with my life. But the people gave to the particular person and not the church. The church can ask for a general welfare offering some other time since the members are willing to give. Also normal tithes and offerings should also be used to help others in the church. The church just served as an intermediary in this case. People didn't donate money to the church for welfare, they donated indirectly to the sick person through the church's account. So the money belongs to whom the donors gave the money to. I'm sure the family needs the money more than the church for extra expenses. |

Ebubu2: but traditional religion belongs to Africa? And Islam belongs to the arab? I don't know about other religions but Christianity has not at any point in history belonged to the Europeans or Americans. Christianity started in the middle east with the jews and God commanded them to spread it to all the world. Ethiopia was one the first places Christianity spread to before it now got to Europe and America. I don't why people call it the white man's religion. It never belonged to any white country. Christianity is for everyone that is ready to believe in Jesus Christ. But I guess some people will still like to be slaughtering animals and bathing in rivers naked all in the name of traditional religion. How stupid can one be? |

Oyedele78: NOTE;I'm not an atheist. But, get this right, religion has nothing to do with God. Religions are created by men. We are free to choose our various ways of life.
You're Christian because you were made to believe in it from your childhood Religion is the belief and worship of God. So how does religion not have anything to do with God? But if you're implying that we should all have a personal relationship with God that transcends religion, then I agree with you. I was lucky to come from a Christian household but I've had my own personal encounter with the power of God. So i believe in Jesus Christ and God because of my own personal experience and not because of my parents. Infact my doctrinal beliefs are very very different from those of my parents. |

Go to USA, UK, most churches there now are full of Africans, only few % of the congregation are whites The question is, are they making progress now that they've dumped Christianity? Their countries are getting worse. They became developed when they were worshipping God, now all they care about homosexuality and transgender nonsense. Christianity is not the problem. How did our fore fathers that were worshipping idols benefit us? The world will be a better place if more people develop relationship with God. |

xbuddie: The fact that something is different from your traditional belief system does not mean it is bad.
There is nothing in the bible that says use of technology is a sin.
Afterall, we use projectors, speakers, mics, amplifiers, electric instruments, computers, we display bible on screen. Even modern day pastor uses Google to research sermon.
As long as the word of God is not diluted, and other activities is there alongside, I don't think this is a bad idea You don't know anything about Christianity. You think that preaching a sermon is just about reading scriptures from the Bible. Is the AI anointed by God to be a pastor? Does the AI have the Holy Spirit in it? Does AI have spiritual understanding and relationship with God? Does the AI believe in Jesus Christ? Does the AI have faith in God? Christianity is different from motivational speaking abeg. This is nonsense. |

I don't regret my stand on this matter . I called for due process ...I criticise jamb for being a judge on there own case . I appreciate the panel set up by Anambra govt ..that is how civilise people behave ...and at the end they got to the root ..Right now nobody is siding evil ...If there is alwsys due process in how we Conduct our affairs in this country , there wouldn't be lack of trust btw the government and the governed ...
At this point , she should be given the maximum punishement her offense stipulate to serve as deterrent. For those making this an ethnic issue ..this wont solve the problem of high inflation and bad leadership that has bedeviled the country . This has created a situation where by every Nigeria wanna japa . The only people happy in this country are politicians and there families What you're saying is nonsense. JAMB is backed by law to be a judge in this case. Only JAMB can declare a result fake or not. No independent panel has the right to declare a result fake or original. It's only ethnic bias that resulted in the investigation conducted by Anambra. If 40 students come out with fake results next year, will you go and hire 200 professors to investigate all of them. Let's stop this nonsense. You supported her because she Igbo and you thought JAMB was against her because she was Igbo. It's as simple as that. |

Some of these organisations that will make you do silly and unreasonable things just to remain their staff. Run away from such !
Example are all these loan sharks that make their staff write all manner of rubbish in a bid to recover debt.
When they put you in trouble , they will deny you.
Bank staff come to work and face their duties in their various departments not debt drive.
No mainstream commercial bank will use this barbaric method for debt recovery.
So these aren't bankers.
Microfinance bank work is like working in a filling station and claim working in an oil company.
I pity these four especially the pregnant woman.

Christianity Etc › Re: Since We Are Saved By Faith, Should We Forget The Law by Depsui(m): 9:39am On May 14, 2023 |
It's either you're justified by grace or by the law, it can never be by a mixture of both. So choose wisely
You can't be justified by both works and grace because they are direct opposites.
Once you add works to grace, then it's no longer grace. Because, by definition grace means it is unmerited, if you therefore add some works, that means you've done something to deserve and it is no more grace.
If you keep all the law but fail in one you go to hell instead you can just trust in Jesus Christ and go to heaven. So choose wisely. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Is Belief In Jesus Enough For Salvation? by Depsui(m): 2:16pm On Mar 13, 2023 |
Sapiosexuality: I don't think he is Holy. None of what he did in the old testament is a testament of holiness and none of what he intends to do at the close of the new testament shows the way of holiness. You cannot convince any good person who has not heard about your God that your God is holy by showing him the things he's done. He may be real, I don't know, but I don't think he is a good person. So you would rather go to hell and be with the devil? Do you think the devil is holy? There are only 2 options, heaven and hell. God is God, you don't get to pick and choose your ideal God or what you want God to be like, luckily for us, God is a good God. There's a reason for some of the things that happened in the old testament. The world was getting catastrophically evil and God had to reduce the evil in world. If evil had not been reduced by harsh judgement from God, there won't have been any virgin in the world to give birth to Jesus Christ and everyone would have been damned. All the things you see as harshness or wickedness is actually God trying to preserve the earth from people's evil deeds. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Belief In Jesus Enough For Salvation? by Depsui(m): 12:51pm On Mar 12, 2023 |
SeriouslySense: From my limited understanding, God is the one who sees us, and he is the one who chooses who he saves, it does not depend on our works.
Jesus has freely offered salvation and Justification to anyone who believes in him, therefore we have to humble ourselves and fear God. Wrong, God does not choose who to save. He has offered salvation to everyone. It is God's will for everyone to be saved but He won't force salvation on anyone. It is only does that accept the offering of salvation that will be saved. |
Christianity Etc › Why Are Most People Not Christians? by Depsui(op): 12:47pm On Mar 12, 2023 |
I believe it's majorly the fault of Christians. We have attached too much wrong doctrines to the message of salvation and turned the good news to bad news for a lot of people.
The requirement for salvation is simple: believe in Jesus Christ and confess Him as your Lord and saviour.
But we've added church attendance, live a holy life, pay tithes and offerings (which are all good things). And we've diluted the gospel and rendered it powerless.
Church attendance, reading the Bible loving holy are all good and important for spiritual growth but it has nothing to do with salvation or making heaven. They will help you to live a good life on earth but they can't get you saved or take you to heaven.
Please, let's preach salvation as a free gift of God and not something that has to be attained by works or loving holy. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Belief In Jesus Enough For Salvation? by Depsui(m): 12:32pm On Mar 12, 2023 |
Sapiosexuality: The whole thing doesn't make sense. I will burn in hell because I don't believe in one Jesus guy even though I'm not a bad person? This doesn't make much sense but for real, ignorance is bliss. For real. You may not be a bad person but you're not perfect and sinless. God is 100% holy, so you can't join God in heaven with anything less than 100% holiness. Not 99%, 70% or 50% only 100%. The good news is now that God knows that because we're human, nobody can achieve 100% holiness, so Jesus Christ came to the world and lived a life of 100% percent holiness. When you believe in Jesus Christ, you receive his 100% holiness and that will enable you to go to heaven. The question is why will you turn down a free gift of 100% holiness and be relying on your own 90% holiness? It makes no sense. You don't have to do anything else, just believe in Jesus Christ and accept his holiness and you get to go to heaven. It's as simple as that. |
