Happy Sunday folks. As Christians, especially in Nigeria, many of us share the belief that God is the one who knows how things will come together. We trust that He works in ways beyond our understanding, aligning things for our good. But here’s the struggle: when we plan our lives, especially as businesspeople or individuals striving for personal growth, we often find ourselves relying on our own effort and strategies. You know how they say you can't feature in the future you did not picture. We resume the year with new year goals and resolutions. Take me, for example. I’ve been trying to plan my finances and set a goal of earning ₦1 million monthly. When I sit down to strategize, it’s all physical processes—step-by-step actions within my ability. Then I work hard, follow my plan, and sometimes, I hit the target. But as I sit and plan this time, I'm asking myself: where is the God factor in all this? How do I leave room for a miracle, or will it be all just my effort? The conflict lies here: If I plan every detail and grind through my work- doing only the things I can do, isn’t that purely my doing? And if I picture what I want, pray about it, and leave the “how-to” entirely to God, won’t I feel stuck, waiting for something divine to happen? —Coz the 1m is not enough...but from the things I know to do, and can be present in mind and body to do, I can hit that amount. However just a moment ago, I came to realize something deeper. Life is too complex for us to assume that success is simply the result of one plus one equals two. Yes, I worked hard. Yes, I planned well. But look around—plenty of people work just as hard (or harder) and don’t see the same results. Why? Because there are countless factors outside our control. The God factor is in those unseen variables: The ability to even sit down, think clearly, and strategize. The health to execute your plans when others are held back by illness. Favor in the networks and connections that ensure your effort doesn’t go to waste. Lesser emergencies—problems that don’t overwhelm your resources and derail your plans. A sense of focus and calmness that allows you to follow through when others feel scattered. It’s a miracle to live a coordinated, planned life. Many don’t have that privilege. Some are praying fervently but can’t seem to focus or catch a break. For you to have that alignment—your health, your mind, your circumstances—it’s not luck. It’s grace. So, while it might feel like your success is purely the result of your hustle, the truth is that God’s hand is in every layer of it. The subtle miracles—the ones we don’t often recognize—are just as real as the dramatic, unexplainable ones. What are your thoughts? Have you ever struggled with this tension between faith and effort? How do you balance planning with leaving room for the Unlimited God? |
Here's the problem. Why would an Ikwerre man, force an identy on another Ikwerre man? It's not about Igbos forcing Ikwerre people to align with the Igbo ancestry, it's actually a division among the Ikwerres, on a unified ethnic identity. It is a fight between fellow Ikwerre people on whom to align with. They do have recorded historical roots with the Bini people, however, aside that story of Akalaka, every other thing about the Ikwerre people screams– Igbo. It's a fight to keep a uniform identity...not Igbos forcing the identity on them. |
@EzehFx and co. He's not asking for help na - Just Advice! His monika is Thebestwriter. He's probably reporting a story and gathering opinions, or just sharing. Or is this forum for sharing personal life's challenges always? Sometimes it's cruise...other times, writers just wanna flex their creative prowess. Y'all should stop this unnecessary digging...it's not that deep. |
Dr. D.K Odukoya of MFM said it...it's now happening. They are here now! |
Ah! He said 1800 full shop, 1200 levy, 3000 for tax et al The lady said it's 9600. Whoever we choose to believe, it still means the tax is about 10,000 naira annually and around 800-1000 monthly. We have shops in Lagos markets. Nobody pays 10k annually in tax, in Lagos. Onitsha is comparatively as commercial as Lagos. So what's the justification? From 7% to 15% We still pay tax in restaurants and hotels— only in Lagos. Should we add radio and television tax? What about posters and fliers, signboard/signpost? Lagos is actually the chief of multiple taxation and agberoism; and they spread it all across the nation. With all the tax and stolen money, see how backward the nation is in comparison. |
EmperorCaesar:Since the days of El chapo, we've known from watching foreign movies...that there's VIP cell. During the Jos plateau prison break, the former governor of plateau and some top persons were said to have remained in their vip cells...dey did not run with the others. |

Now I'm thinking of my Yandex account. I used to snap pics and upload to them...but the pay was waaaay petty $0.3, $0.5. We are following. What does the work entail...what's the free and the paid. Let's get moving...2025 is upon us already. |
I read only caption...but let me drop my 2cents. If she's slim or normal structure, she'll have small, fallen bress inside their big foam bra. They may have small curved hips. If you suck that breast well, water fit come out... ...another one, they easily give greenlight to Gentle men. They're thirsty for good men. One final one...if they have not told you the trut about the child'ren, they can not truly be themselves and enjoy your love and affection. The guilt will make them restrain themselves. They cannot be truly happy around you. You don't get their full expression of joy when you do something nice. If you're observant, you'll see the signs. They will even be dropping one baby name always...in the name of "cousin". |
No wonder!!! Sometimes, I even feel overqualified for the post. Yet, nothing...even with well crafted ChatGPT assist. But NRC and MTN responded to me. I had to ask MTN if they did background check on me and disqualified me for it...coz...why else? I even found out I missed an opportunity with BAT in March. Just saw it yesterday...don't know why they responded in my ooooold yahoomail account. Gawd! There's a place where they ALWAYS ask if you have a relative or know anyone who works there...or in other NGOs. I'll start answering yes...coz I've been answering NO all these years, yet nothing. I even asked my coz that's in the North and uploading some NGO pics, baba said he doesn't know and he's not working with NGO per se...but him dey wear their jacket o, and their backpack and boot. That one concern am...when next I apply for such jobs, I will say- YES...and write his name. God pass una! |

Tonitoniton:Government is the sponsor...infact, the Northern leaders are their sponsor. The initial story was that they were runaway terrorist group from Niger Republic...how come runaway touts now have this much resources ![]() I think even the military is in support of them... |
thatigboman:This is close to a good explanation. Those hovering is fuel burning. Apart from VIP iiish, weather also plays a role...I believe those unplanned hovering is the reason they went to get more fuel. |
lebete3000:For one or two reasons, a flight might spend more time airborne (weather or traffic) In otherwords, pilot may get to Lagos, but won't be cleared to land immediately and may be required to be hovering around the aerodrome till clearance is granted. That hanging in the air could take as much as 15mins...and that's unplanned fuel burning. If such instruction comes mid air, the pilot needs to come prepared...best to sort more fuel from closest aerodrome. The fact is, the aircraft has enough fuel for the journey...but probably doesn't have enough for extracurricular. |
If na demise, write the caption in full na |
Swears! |
I checked your YouTube channel, your engagements are low. I like the AI video stuff, I really want to learn how to make it. There's another popular page that uses same AI concept, telling interesting African tales. So why is yours doing poorly? For me...I don't like your stories. Except your niche is telling creepy tales...I find almost all your videos creepy. ......... I've watched some videos on the combination of tools for creating these videos...can you take me by the hand and show me one or two ways around it... |
@Op It's "contain" not "contend". ...he has the capacity to contain them. |
Biznesworld:They obviously don't. The Internet never forgets. |
@nlfpmod why is none of the various posts bout this case since yesterday making the frontpage? Una wan suppress the news? |
Who wakes up one morning to falsely accuse top ranking officers...? The case couldnt be proven beyond reasonable doubt...because on the basis of Mental health, whatever evidence tendered won't be upheld as credible. Did she become mentally ill now? Why didn't they honourably discharge her when she first put in her request to leave the force?! |
