nurain150: Am very confused, i want to develop my blog. And i want to use html css and js.so i can handle project my own.But i was advised to use wordpress theme. But in a case where only html and css and js will save me at work..which should i go for Just jump into your Wordpress file directory. As a programmer, you should be able to locate where to edit/add the necessary HTML, CSS and Javascript commands you need your blog/website to follow. You don't necessarily need to reinvent the wheel, unless Wordpress won't be of help to you. But, once you get comfortable with Wordpress, you can make it function to your taste. |

Computers › Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by Dermie: 4:06am On Sep 07, 2016 |
noob03saibot: Thanks for your concern man, but I don't feel it's a device, mouse keyboard problem. I v also scanned and scanned, in fact my name should v called scanner, but got nothing. I actually checked the msconfig, the start up tab and saw list of things that start up with my pc, among them was some thing called smart protection anti virus. Dude, I don't know how that managed to get there. And the publisher was unknown. So I ran a Google check on it and found out that it is a fake anti virus and it is in fact a virus. But funny enough, no anti virus has picked this up. I v tried to disable it. But anytime I reset my pc and go back to check it in msconfig, I see it abled again. But if I disable it and don't reset, it stays disabled. How can I disable the shit permanently please? Alright. A factory reset should solve that. |
Computers › Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by Dermie: 2:52pm On Aug 31, 2016 |
noob03saibot: How I knew they could b malicious is that the anti virus report scan said so. And the laptop has been malfunctioning, like when I boot it, instead of going to the home screen it goes to library. Also when I am scrolling with the scroll bar to view items it is always scrolling to the base, no matter how hard I scroll up, it must scroll down, and when I go to the home screen it is always the last shortcut folder icon that is highlighted and if I try to click on any icon or button on the screen, it is always the last folder that will open. Example the last folder icon on my screen is smadav and I want to click on jet audio shortcut icon, it is smadav that ll open. And when I send data to my phone after disconnecting the use cable, I ll be seeing new empty folders in my received compartment of my phone, folders I didn't create. I v scanned the system with every anti virus known to man, but they keep saying no virus detected, only hidden objects found and another anti virus said warnings 74. Don't know what that means. But google said warnings ain't a threat, it means that some data couldn't be scanned, sir, I am thinking of formatting it. How can I formatting it to make the hard disk as blank as new? And would the virus survive the formatting? How reliable is f disk formatting?
I also feel it's a msconfig problem. The picture below is the exact same headache I am facing right now. The issue you're having might be because of a Mouse or Keyboard Malfunction. I don't know if you tried navigating the screen with your keyboard. You can try to test with an external Mouse or Keyboard to see if it's the same or not..., or uninstall your recently installed apps. Do a Rootkit scanhttps://www.sophos.com/en-us/products/free-tools/virus-removal-tool.aspxTry this:Go to Device Manager, select your Mouse/ Mice and other pointing devices, right click and Uninstall it, then restart your PC. To Do Factory Reset:Backup your files, if you can. Disconnect all connected devices. Search for "PC Settings", select "Update and recovery", Select "Recovery", choose "Remove Everything and reinstall Windows". Select "Get Started" and follow the onscreen instructions to start the factory reset process. Formatting your drive should solve your problem. |

noob03saibot: Hi mr Demie, been a while. I want to ask if there's any way for me to unhide hidden objects? I ran a check on my system with a viral anti virus and it's report was that there was no virus infection, but there were hidden objects which could be malicious. Please, is there anyway I can rectify this? Thanks in advance Yeah man! You said "there were hidden objects which could be malicious", how did you know that Also, you want "to unhide hidden objects", which mean...you want the hidden objects to be shown or visible to you. In that case, open any folder on your PC, from the Ribbon above, where you have (Home, Share, View, Manage), select View, Go to the section where you have Show/Hide, there you can check or uncheck hidden items as the need may be. When it is checked, the hidden files are visible and vice versa. Hope that solves your problem. N.B: most necessary system files are hidden, try not tamper with them. |

noob03saibot: No, there are no more details. That was all I saw on the screen. And like I said earlier, I just got the system, and it was a refurbished one, so I haven't connected to wireless "lan" before sir. You said something about installing a Bluetooth adapter or so, should I opt for that? But the "wlan" part may pose a problem, cause I have never tried it before so I won't know if it is working, but I will assume it isn't working since the Bluetooth isn't sir. Ok. Yes opt for that. Install the Qualcomm Atheros bluetooth adapter [ https://www.atheros-drivers.com/atheros-bluetooth-drivers.html] and/or attach a Bluetooth USB adapter. You should still try to test the WLAN. |

Vivly: Just recently, my PC froze and I fixed it. Two days later, it developed other complex issues. It gets very hot and gives off a smell like something is burning. I guess thats why the battery hardly lasts up to two hours now which even after a full charge. Also, the windows always suddenly restarts each time I put it on. It's a hp 250 and it doesnt come with a fan. If it didn't come with a fan, it's meant for light and basic use. Don't expect it to survive with heavy use (Video and Photo editing, Games and other resource-hungry programs). Do a regular Disk Cleanup, Get a good and updated Antivirus for Malware and Adware scan, Make your Browser lightweight (less customizations and extensions), Disable Windows animation, Uninstall unused programs. ksbusari: I use Avast antivirus program on my computer. To update d antivirus I av two options. To update the engine and virus definitions or program. my question is which of the two is d most important to update in case I want to manage my data. what does each (engine and definitions, or program ) do after I av updated d two? The most important is the update of Engine and Virus Definitions. The Engine is a part of the program that scans your computer for potential threats based on the Virus Definitions. The Virus Definitions database is what the program uses to identify threats to your computer. The update adds new known virus definitions to the program. The Program version updates provides bug fixes and improvements to the previous one. |

noob03saibot: having a little problem switching over to admin, I have no idea how to switch over to admin, instead I tried it as a user and this is what it says: the default is to display only in address, subnet mask and default gateway for each adapter bound to tcp/ip. For release and renew, if no adapter name is specified, then the ip address leases for all adapters bound to tcp/ip will be released or renewed. Example: ipconfig... show information Ipconfig all... show detailed info Ipconfig/renew....renew all adapters Ipconfig /renew El*... renew any connection that has its name starting with el. Ipconfig/ allcompartments/ all.... show detailed info about all compartments Sir, I left out about 2 examples. To run as admin, just right click on command prompt in search bar and select Run as Administrator. Show me the screenshot, I'm sorry I didn't get you well. |
