My Lenovo y50-70 touch pad doesnt let me left click, hold and drag an icon or item. I can only double click and drag. The left click just stopped functioning recently

Try these options:

Go to Mouse Settings>Buttons tab>Double click speed>Slide cursor towards Fast>Click on folder with your left click button.

Your left click button should be OK if it opens well.

Otherwise, slide cursor back towards Slow.

Alternatively,

Go to Device Manager>Expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers>Right click USB Root Hub> Click Properties.

In Properties box, click the Power Management tab, Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power .

Note: Repeat these steps for each USB Root Hub present.

Did you mind the space before "/all". It should be ipconfig spacebar /all

Note: I didn't say you should type the "spacebar", but punch it on your keyboard.

Ran a windows network diagnostic tests and the results are you have no preferred wireless network, a network cable isn't properly plugged in or may be broken, and problem with wireless adapter or access point. Could one of these be the cause of the Bluetooth problem. And I also went to device manager and did what u said. I expanded the Bluetooth, but didn't c the model adaptor there. Instead I saw generic Bluetooth adapter and Microsoft Bluetooth enumerator only. And when I clicked on both of them, their device status read, this device is working properly. But it isnt

Yes, It could be. Like i said earlier, I think the PC didn't come with a built-in Bluetooth adapter and according to the diagnostic test, I doubt if you can connect to a wireless network (Wi-Fi) either. Can you?

Did you check "Network and Internet" > "Network Connections" to enable?

Open command prompt as an administrator, then type ipconfig /all and hit Enter, let me see what you have.

It's also possible your PC doesn't have a built-in Bluetooth adapter, if that's the case...you should get a bluetooth usb adapter.

same thing, but I noticed normal ram usage on my guest account I.e(35%) but on my main account it will reduce the ram to(20%) after double clicking a movie or copying files and start rising and falling(20% to 90%)

What you saw Online doesn't necessarily have to be the same with what you have.

The graphics card your laptop has is Intel's.
Though it could have the two ...But it can't work simultaneously.

Go to Control Panel, select Bluetooth then Uninstall. In case you couldn't find it, you might have uninstalled it unknowingly after system upgrade or something else.

To install, check online for Bluetooth driver that's compatible with your device. If you still have the installation file in your PC, it should be in your "C" Drive, e.g, "C:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS\BTOOTH\FOLDER_NAME\Setup.exe".

Alternatively

Go to the Device Manager, Expand Bluetooth, and you will see the model of the bluetooth adapter that is installed, click on Update or Uninstall.

You can also check "Network and Internet" > "Network Connections" > "Bluetooth Network Connection", right click and Enable (if Disabled).


I want to believe the Bluetooth has worked well in the past.

This could be caused by a third-party program, a malware infection or faulty drivers.

You should consider reviewing your installed apps, perform a malware scan, update drivers and also disable runtime broker.

To disable runtime broker:
Go to Start menu, select Settings, then open System, select Notifications & Actions. You should turn off the option "Show me tips about Windows". Reboot your PC.

You can Uninstall and Reinstall the Bluetooth driver.

OR
Check your Bluetooth settings by right clicking on the Bluetooth icon, then open settings, select option to allow device to be discoverable by others, accept.

If I start the laptop after some hours of out of use, it would work for about 30minutes and trip off, but if I try to restart it, it would continue to trip off while trying to boot.

Going by the characteristics of the problem, I seriously suspect the issue of overheating, please what could be the cause of the overheating and what is the way out?

I hope this isn't late.

Overheating can result from the following:

Overuse of laptop
Bad battery
Use of high capacity game, or other program
Blockage of the cooling fan by dirt
Blockage of air vent by surface placed on

Possible solutions:
Reduce the use of your laptop
Check and fix any related issue to battery malfunction
Uninstall any heavy program or game
Free the air vent from dust or/and clean the laptop fan
Don't place laptop on flat surface.

You can as well backup and restore PC as fresh, disable automatic restart (for test purpose), start PC in Safe Mode, Scan PC with updated Antivirus.

What Operating System are you using?...I hope you're not using a Preview version.

Your PC could be shutting down because of an infection, change in drivers or hardware, overheating, dust in air vent, power source issue.

Just get a ReWritable disc, it is usually denoted by (CD-RW).

Go to My Computer, slot in the disc in your CD drive (you should see a change in My Computer), take note of Drive's name (E.g Drive F)

Go to your assignment folder, select the file(s) you need, right click and send to the Drive your disc is.

It should prompt you to rename and probably format the disc before storing your files in it.

It has two options, select use of the disc like a USB flash drive.

Wait till the process completes successfully before you eject

Alternatively

If there's a pop up immediately you insert the disc, or after you double clicked on the Disc drive in windows...Rename and Format the disc, choose USB flash drive.

Once your disc has been formatted, select and copy the files you need, then paste in the Drive you formatted.

Wait till the process completes successfully before you eject.

System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files

Try to run the System File Checker tool using the command prompt as an administrator, type sfc /scannow, wait till verification is completed, scan results should dispay.

For Windows 8, 8.1:
Press (Windows button +Q) to search, type (cmd) for command prompt, right click on command prompt and (Run as administrator)

For Windows 10, 7 or Vista:
click (start), type (cmd) in search bar, right click on command prompt and (Run as administrator)

Note: If the above doesn't work, you have to restore your system to a previous working state with windows recovery

I am writing this for those who finds it difficult to use airtel 2g data to download. this will help you increase your downloading speed by some percentage i.e if you get up to 20kb/s it will be increase to about 80.72kb/s. to 100kb/s or even higher.

first step: use UC browser (Fast Download)

second step: Start your download with 2g

third step: switch back to 3g and wait for few minutes, your download with resume at higher speed.
