You really can't because your pc isn't built for such high version of Photoshop go for CS2 or CS3 (max). Nothing more otherwise in the long run you have yourself to blame.

Lovely recommendation. For the sake of those whose pcs aren't 6-8GB & above with a dedicated graphics card etc or 2Ghz CPU speed. Lower the range for Photoshop to CS4 to include CS5 we both know versions CS6 & CC 2014-2015 takes a lot of resources*winks winks*Didn't see the former comments before. ToonBoom apps are tailored towards both small,indie & big industries. At the moment; the apps aren't too much to get a wholistic of 2D Animation,bro. So far ToonBoom apps(Harmony,Animate Pro,Studio) with Adobe Apps(Photoshop,Premiere Pro,AfterEffects,Audition,SoundBooth). If you have a youtube or vimeo channel you do a basic intro video into it. What do you think?!!

storyboard is nice but its tailored towards the big industries that consists of many animators. It has almost an endless possibilities to what you can do with it, infact it can almost be used as a substitution for animation software but photoshop is able to handle all our needs perfectly at this level, so that we'll understand better, besides i dont want to add too many softwares so as not task people's brain too much, although anyone can indicate if they're interested in other softwares not listed above so other animators who're good in them can help them. you're free to also tutor us extensively on ur own workflow as time goes on.

Different strokes for different folks. Photoshop is good but StoryBoard Pro has its own benefits. Just keep the field open & let those interested in this thread try out the standard apps & make their decisions themselves not streamline them so soon. Am aware of ToonBoom Harmony's ability to import fbx as well as obj.

@DerrickM thanks bro, actually storyboard pro is off. Photoshop can be used for all our scene planning, as for after effects, i might decide to chip it in if it'll be needed for compositing and other special effects but toon boom harmony can handle all the 2d needs even some part of 3d also like importing 3d assets as fbx from maya to use as environment in a 2d animation, avatar the last air bender is a good example

@CHUBBYSWIT: Cool thread,definitely gonna learn something here & contribute. Just modify some apps you spoke about. ToonBoom has different apps for 2D Animation,the popular ones are Harmony,Animate Pro(similar to Harmony) and StoryBoard Pro(for sequential art). Adobe AfterEffects & SoundBooth are part of the workflow.

You really need to be specific. Is it cartoonizing a person's picture,digital art of comic characters or abstract stuff?!!Photoshop does it regardless of the version though CS5-CC does better effects than CS4 hands down.
Commonly used tools,pen,lasso,marquee,gradient,brush,colour swatches etc. Get on youtube there are lots of videos there on it.

On BB it plays fairly well without buffering. Just more advisable to download on pc than mobile or android. Sometimes the downloads don't go through but data has been lost etc.

Thanks for your feedback. From what you've said, I take it people generally have some form of download tool installed on their device.
However, they still have to track down the actual link in order to effect a download.

As far as direct playback/streaming, do you know if the internet speeds available to people allows for minimal buffering?
Like when you take a peek on you BB, does it generally play at a decent rate? Sorry for all the questions.

Thanks for this extra info @OSEOD. Yes,it's true about PluralSight Tutors(formerly Digital Tutors) they are still my favourite video online resources though pricey. Lynda,CmiVfx,FxPhD,CubeBrush,CG Cookie etc are also good. It depends on @JOAGBAJE if he can learn just through videos alone or one-on-one training get accustomed to the User Interface then develop himself continually as a habit with such video resources later on which is highly recommended.

they have concise maya training courses as they're the official autodesk training partners..
but before that be sure to remember that animation is more than just the software. just like architecture is more than autocad or revit.

they were meant for traditional 2d animation..
but the principles taught there are priceless for any animator even in 3d

*I understood & the method I explained is what I personally use to trace the actual youtube channel to watch there & use "Internet Download Manager(IDM)" to get them easily. Alternatively i can use "Download Accelerator Plus(DAP)"

*The widget you talk of is from www.savefrom.net when you place "ss" in front of the youtube link & install the browser extension from the site to download faster.

*Sometimes I watch a video directly on my bb native browser to get a sneak peek @the video.

I own two sites which have predominantly embedded Youtube video content. In order to improve the user experience, I'm researching the different ways people in Nigeria watch/download Youtube videos they come across on such sites. Specifically how they download them.

For instance, I found out some people add "ss" to the start of the domain name. e.g "youtubedotcom/XXXX" becomes "ssyoutubedotcom/XXXX."

This redirects to a different site which delivers a direct download widget for that video.

In essence, I'm trying to better understand the methods of choice used by people in Nigeria, so I can make the site more user-friendly.

If you can't draw well with pencil,pen,colour pencils & paper forget digital tab. Yes,wacom is phasing out models it's called development if they could phase out Bamboo nothing is beyond deletion*hehehe*lol*

Oh really?!!Nice. To locate Muri Okunola;from wherever you are in Lagos find a bus going to Obalende. Get a keke marwa or tricycle going to Adeola Odeku/Eko Hotel. Muri Okunola isn't far from there just ask around. Another thing is Autodesk SketchBook Pro has copic markers in built but you can only use that app with a digital tab for sketching. best regards

@QUIESTLA: The patch tool is simple to use. Highlight the area you like on the face & move it over the bad area with spots or pimples. It automatically covers it up & repeat the process over similar areas. Hope that helps,best regards...

Uninstall with CCleaner,TuneUp Utilities or Revo Uninstaller. To effectively remove it from your pc & clean its history from your pc's registry.
Then reinstall the Photoshop & activate it. Hope that helps,cheers...
