@PRETTYTASHA: Though I created my logo with Illustrator you have a go at giving me something different with PSD & CDR*winks winks* Dm3DRev Studeos Blog - The Creatively Divergent Blog... Visit www.dm3drev-studeos..com prettytasha: |
@INZA: Great to see you here again...am like #WTH?!!...seriously thank goodness I didn't see that since*lmao*lol*rotflr*Na Naija we dey...grab ya copy NOW!!! InZA: |
Photoshop does more frame animation not really heavy video animation. Here are links that may help via google http://www.google.com/m?q=Animation+with+Photoshop Talkingboy: |
Dude, software is software single or plural*smh*na wa Ooo... I mentioned the main apps you need for graphics with those youtube channels. Here's the list anyway: *CorelDraw X3-7 *Adobe Design Premium Suite CS3-CC depends on your pc config strength. That's all for free consultation...lmao*lol*rotflr* flowsamuels: |
@RICY20: You are so welcome, glad I could help out. Knowledge is worthless without sharing it. No one can really teach you everything on graphics, watching videos helps because not everyone is chanced or will teach you for free. Once you grab the basics you can evolve & get better. ricy20: |
You are welcome. I source software packages both ways it's just matter of which is the most convenient @that moment. I kept my whatsapp no here on purpose so technically you didn't steal it(only in your mind) ![]() flowsamuels: |
@FLOWSAMUELS: Hi back @ya,being a newbie isn't a bad thing I started there as well*winks winks* Corel Corporation makes CorelDraw & other corel products while Adobe Systems makes Photoshop & other awesome media apps with their brand name so there's nothing like you learning Adobe...okay. If you have 2months aside the best option you have is to get video tutorials from sources for free like Youtube or paid ones from Digital Tutors,Lynda etc. **YouTube Channels I highly recommend for CorelDraw and Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign** *CorelDraw Channel: www.youtube.com/user/CorelDRAWChannel *CreatnProcess: www.youtube.com/user/creatnprocess *TastyTuts: www.youtube.com/user/tastytuts *PSDBox: www.youtube.com/user/diphax *Terry White(Adobe Evangelist): www.youtube.com/user/terrywhitetechblog Get Internet Download Manager www.internetdownloadmanager.com to download Youtube videos & anything much faster easily. flowsamuels: |
Ok,I see. Not a site or business I really advise but you are already online. All the best in it... prettytasha: |
Yes,it's well,my brother. I would have said you get video tutorials from Digital Tutors and Lynda before you save up to do the Orange Academy Course. I hope this less pricey course isn't a waste of money, bro. Tink am wella be4 u commit urself Ooo... 66Kazna99: |
Work towards it & you will get it done. I know someone who is spending half a mil on diplomas here in Naija & still plans to go to abroad again the courses are worth that amount again with accommodation fees...chei,u go fear small*lol*winks winks*Price of knowledge I guess... 66Kazna99: |
Ok*smh*lol*lmao*It shouldn't be about the price alone but your choice. A certificate from Orange Academy is usually more recognised over others but it's all good. 66Kazna99: |
Good question @PRETTYTASHA over to you to answer that*lol*hehehehe*You know our people with their superstitious levels...Dem go wonder wonder Ooo...66Kazna99: |
Alternatively there is: *Orange Academy (www.cluborangeng.com) in Maryland,Ikeja if you prefer that & the bill is a 100k http://www.cluborangeng.com/programs/break-away-designers/ 66Kazna99: |
Ok,lemme just say when you study a course in Environmental Technology like I did knowing how to use all these graphic apps was a must to pass well in my school days even when I didn't use them. *Beginners, newbies & pros alike use CorelDraw mostly in Nigeria but Illustrator is gaining ground fast because of demand in media & advertising. *As popular as CorelDraw is worldwide,I dunno why most top design schools don't teach it. Most are Adobe Certified Training Centres and maybe also because Adobe has more media apps for Video Editing and Web Design over Corel. *It is amazing for vector design and signage design i.e AI i mean. *Happens to be the industry standard for comic illustration/lettering for the like of Marvel and DC Comics etc. *Online print vendors, the likes of Print Magic and Printivo prefer AI & PDF for printing over CorelDraw. *Nigerian designers and printers are so used to CorelDraw that's why they don't want to switch or accommodate Illustrator, change in the face of serious competition isn't so easy. 66Kazna99: |
1st firm I spoke about is Decor and Rainbow (www.decorandrainbow.com) and the other was Ellae Creative as you guessed right*winks winks* (www.ellaecreative.com) both in Lekki. They use solely Adobe Apps to do all their works & print. They aren't big on CorelDraw @all. CorelDraw will always have a special place in my heart*winks winks*lol* because that's where I started but I use Adobe Apps more often now. Just because it's widely used doesn't make it limiting, brov. It's just that Adobe apps give an extra edge on point so expand your horizon like @FELIXCHIP said. 66Kazna99: |
You need to get it checked by an engineer asap that isn't normal. Photoshop shouldn't hang it if you said Premier Pro or AfterEffects yes that's possible. blackb2: |
I highly recommend these 3 amazing guys on YouTube that I've subscribed to their channels for a while now. 1) CreatnProcess - an awesome Indian freelance graphic designer so dope @making logos of any kind 2d or 3d using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop[www.youtube.com/user/creatnprocess] 2) TastyTuts by Gareth David - a UK based freelance graphic designer who treats a wide range of topics on Graphic Design in Photoshop,Illustrator and InDesign. All his videos are free but sometimes you have to pay for his exercise files whether in USD,GBP or EUR it's 2.50 using PayPal if he didn't make it free for download like "Multimedia Print" course [www.youtube.com/user/TastyTuts] Website:[www.tastytuts.com] 3) Andrei Oprinca(PSDBox) - A latin photo-manipulation artist who is something else on Photoshop [www.youtube.com/user/diphax] Website: [www.psdbox.com] prettytasha: |
Oh ok good but not enough. Try getting either Adobe Design or Master Collection Suite to have all of them. Most of the top media & advertising agencies in Lagos don't use CorelDraw so much now. I know creative agency formerly in Ikeja now in Lekki that did their graphic design tests all over again when they only had CorelDraw users attend & didn't do well. They put out the vacancy again had less candidates but finally found people who use AI,PSD & IDD well enough. They are starting their 6month Graphic Design Diploma in July where Illustrator,Photoshop and InDesign will be taught with Dreamweaver as a bonus. Another firm I know in Lekki doesn't even accept anyone who doesn't know the Adobe Design Apps. Things are changing fast so better to step up with no excuses. prettytasha: |
There's CorelDraw on the 1side & there's the Adobe Design Trinity which is the industry standard Photoshop,Illustrator and InDesign(highly recommended). prettytasha: |
It goes both ways so please don't make it one-sided*winks winks*#JustSaying Angelberry: |
Tips & Tools For Lettering Comics *Adobe Illustrator: Industry Standard used by the likes of Marvel,DC,Vertigo & Image comics etc. Also works superbly with Photoshop(photomanipulation/digital painting) and InDesign(compositing/final print layout) [www.adobe.com] *CorelDraw: Not an industry standard comes in a close 2nd after Illustrator because it has tools & feature similar to the above. [www.coreldraw.com] *Affinity Designer: Another good tool though with limited capacities for manipulation exclusively for Mac users [www.affinity.serif.com] *Inkscape: Give it a try if you want an alternative [www.inkscape.org] *Manga Studio: Great for manga style comics & lettering not so for all genres of comic lettering Creating Your Own Fonts *Fontagrapher and Type Tool [www.fontlab.com] *Glyphs [www.glyphsapp.com] Happy Easter #ComicHeads... |

You didn't say who you were referring to... tpiar: |
Thanks a lot, bro,I've always been wondering about these Hex colours code in Photoshop now I know. Anyone who needs it download it directly here http://cstrips.bitstrips.com/RK8C0_LQ8L.png thank me later*winks winks* aolumaxi: |
@66KAZNA: I think you're referring to @GLOKIT so why quote me,sohn?!!*lol*smh*lwkmd*lmao*Feel to ask him,best regards... 66Kazna99: |
Something is wrong with that Photoshop you have there. Maybe you should reinstall ASAP... Glokit: |
@GLOKIT: To avoid this problem next time follow these steps: *Open a new file(Ctrl+N) *The file properties dialog box pops up,you choose the size whether by paper size(A3,A4,A5 etc),photograph size(5x7) or in units (of mm,cm,inches or pixels). Resolution should be in pixels per inch,by default it's 72 but bump it up to 300 or more. *Work on the file in Photoshop & complete the effects. *When satisfied with the visual outcome;save the file as either jpg/jpeg(make sure the quality is maximum 10-12 depends on the version) or png. *When you view the picture with Windows Photo Viewer & zoom in,you are likely not to have blurry pictures ever again, best regards... You welcome, bro. Nope;don't reside in IB,am in Lag. Maruf05: |
