Both of you raise valid points , but understand, people don't just wake up to Japan, they do so because the environment they're leaving is not conducive for them to thrive, if our government was responsible, and cared a little for the masses no one would go to a strange land put up with discrimination and hate just to feed and take care of their families
.What the mainstream media won't tell you is that these so called developed countries under developed Africa and other countries to stay developed.

Japa is the modern day slave trade where the slaves fund their movement to countries where they're exploited

Visa and citizenship is an illusion it can be withdrawn anytime without explanation if you're dark skinned.

Most of u in Nigeria seem to know how to interpreted UK laws more than somebody who has been living in UK for donkey years. Interesting.
Really interesting.

If there is one thing I understand about UK, its bending the law on compassionate ground. All things being equal from her side, losing her sponsor and dad are strong compassionate ground to bend the law for her.

I know a student that lost her father last year too.

Wish her luck. It's heart breaking.

Islam is a religion in Israel because Israel decided to accept and allow the Arabs who took Israel citizenship after Israel was granted a State. Otherwise the real Israelis are mostly Judaist and some Christians. The muslims are Arab Israelis and enjoy all the privileges and rights of citizens of Israel, and freedom of worship. Nobody attacks or burns their mosques. Can you compare that to what happens in other Islamic countries where both Jews and Christians are attacked and churches/synagogues burnt?
Why is Islam in countries like UK, America?

We are not talking of subsidies here, you are completely off point, learn to comprehend. The issue here is NUPENG trying to dictate to a manufacturer how much to sell, not about subsidy. I am not against subsidy, subsidy leads to low prices, am all for lower prices. Please respond intelligently, don't just talk plenty. Learn comprehension...the oil sector has been completely deregulated, hence it is a free market of competition, companies are free to lower prices, of course government can intervene if producers want to fix price to extort Nigerians, like the unions are suggesting...if Dangote can sell lower, by all means this is welcome and needed by Nigerians and the economy.
Read my post again and again. No and no, no country completely deregulate its oil sector. None in this world. Listen and believe politicians at your own peril especially Nigerians.
I am not talking about dangote. Just telling you that we do not practice free market economy as you stated. We are too poor for that.

Its surprising that majority of those being emotional here do not know that Islam is the 2nd biggest religion in isreal. Christianity is not even up to 2%
Christians are forming attachee by force here.

Isreal can easily accept Muslims than Christians.
Tora never believed the existence of jesus Christ.
They maintained the momentum cos of the international recognition and favour it gives them through Christianity
Christianity is the brain child of Europe
Isreal rejected it cos they never accepted jesus.
Have any of you ever read the torah?
You go to church, your men of God will tell you to fight anybody who fight isreal. No, they are protecting their investments.
As for the Muslims, what the Europeans did with Christianity is what they are currently doing. And oh, Christianity did worst. So if you are blaming Muslims, know that the name jihadist were first used on Christians.

Religion except your ancestral religion is a means of political control.
That was what Europe used to conquer the world.
Islam is doing theirs. They will peak and start going down like Christianity.
No right thinking person in this era takes both serious unless you do not want to experience freedom of mind. Thats the best gift ever.

In a free market economy, companies are free to sell at any amount they want, if you can't compete, go home. The unions are dumb, and have no right to tell Dangote how much to sell fuel for...they are sabotaging the economy and livelihoods of Nigerians for their selfish interest, this is economic sabotage. The unions and their excos in total are not up to one hundred thousand Nigerians, the interest of 200million Nigerians to access affordable fuel surpass theirs...this will have positive effects on our economy. These unions should be deregistered, they have no right to tell a company how much to sell its product, what type of anomaly is this?
No, in free economy like the America, they do not practice free market system. We are too poor for that. Govt regulates essential goods and services. Even in America, the govt still provide fuel subsidy. If not, anybody can wake up and sell fuel 2k dollars for a litre.

Nigeria has its peculiar problems that is diff from what is obtainable all over.
The work of every govt is to checkmate demand and supply, price regulation across boards through their various depts that deal with it. Everywhere around the world.

Textbook economics is diff from economics in reality.
You can check out the disadvantages of free market economy. That's why no economy, even US that very close to that practice it 100%.
Business › Re: FIRS Mourns Four Assistant Directors, Managers Killed In Afriland Towers Fire by descarado: 8:09am On Sep 18, 2025
Reference:
If you live or work in a high rise, three things.
1. Mandatory fire drills regularly.
2. Quality fire detection and suppressing equipment.
3. And most important to offices especially. Minimize clutter and the use of flammable materials. That means for ecample the excessive use of as simple an item as paper and books. That is fuel. It is an office not a fuel depot.

In low rise building the number one killer is access. That iron barricade that protects you from external invasion will also hinder your escape. If you have to search for keys to unlock your barricade. In an emergency you are likely doomed.
High rise or not, it is compulsory.
The health and safety team is a must in every organisation and fire drills are conducted every week. That is a requirement.
Then the national fire department comes in every 2 or 3 months for their all round checks to make sure everything is working.
Heaven help you if your establishment fails. Directors are easily sacked cos of this.

Everybody in that building must undergo mandatory training. Everybody. The fire dept train them as soon as they are employed. Every year or six months, they do it again, write exams. Yes o. You must know all that you should know. Where the fire extinguishers are located, the colours and how to use them and o the type of fire.
How to evacuate.
Gosh,
Do they even employ fire service men as part of the workforce or they relied on the one from the govt.

All major hospitals, big buildings, schools, markets, prisons, any place that have a specific number of people MUST have fire dept that is part of their payroll and workforce. So also industries, big farms etc.
We only care about how much to steal and pepper them. Buy houses we will never occupy you, 100 cars and and party. What an unserious country

blackgold2018:
exactly my thoughts.. the stair case would have solved this problem. It’s very obvious that access was initially restricted. Since it’s a high profile building that even houses FIRS staffs.

The stairs closed or restricted due to security reasons for the big men. So outsiders wouldn’t gain easy access to the building. That’s exactly what happened.
Now it backfired
You all are so ignorant.
In a case of any fireout break, there are staircases that have fire doors.
It will be boldly written there. Use in case of fire emergency., fire alarm door.
There is a place everybody will run to following the fire exist pathways whereever they are.
Its called assembly point.

Once the fire start, alarms will go off, somebody will call the fire department and everybody will follow the fire exit pathway only
Not every staircase is designed for this job os of the type of doors used.

Those that died shouldn't have if they have the necessary fire equipments installed and fire team part of their workforce.

You see Nigeria, I have never seen people as delusio'nal and unser'ious as Nigerians. They take a lot of things for granted

Preator:
Basic safety, never use elevators in an emergency. Always the stairs!
Thank you. Shocking when I saw that.

Not all stair cases are used for evacuation. There is fire exit staircases.

First, no fire door.
Second, no fire alarm
Third, no fire team so no equipment.
And I'm sure they do not conduct weekly fire drill and all the occupants in that building do fire training.

When I was in Nigeria and worked in a big establishment like that, nothing of such happened.

In every country, the government budget highest on maintainance followed by salary, training and awareness before you talk of new projects. In Nigeria, its the opposite. Phantom new projects, cos that's where they steal from, salary cos its a must. Maintainance that has the highest budget is the lowest while training and awareness is non existing.

This is small compared to what you see in so called elite schools that will give your child the connections you think he or she need to surge forward. And it happen all over the world.
Teachers do not have a say at all. Talk anyhow, they will report you to their parents and you will be sa'cked.

I just stated that.
Noticed that sometime ago. Ditched my african shop customer of years. The lady don call tire.

They are now kind of begging for customers.

The day I need meat, butcher stall here I come.
Garri is cheaper in Tesco. So also nigerian beers.

A colleague told me so and their garri look well processed than the non'sense you get from some african shops

They won’t buy that in U.K. nah. I trust those tight fisted U.K. guys.
Nigerian foods are the most expensive in restaurants in the UK.
The thing is that for all other foodstuffs from other places excluding Africa, there is food subsidy.
Examples are grapes. A friend told me( Poland), that her country export grapes to uk but grapes are cheaper in uk than Poland.
Foodstuffs are extremely cheap here except those from africa.
Plantain, mackerel and meat are not expensive cos african shop get them from elsewhere except Africa. So also dry fish. But see other things from Africa, they are expensive.

Indian shops sell african foodstuffs now and they are cheaper. I wonder if they buy from diff places.
