faceland:Jesus H. Christ. That's a bloody waste of funds. It's forgiveable though, since it's likely your first time doing this alternative energy thing and you went in yourself. Moreover, we can't all be lucky to meet good guidance on our first try. My first power station setup cost me about 130k in 2022. Custom built in Nigeria here and ships as separate components. |
faceland:What model of power station is that and what's the rating? Kingsasian:You can never go wrong with having enough alternative energy at your disposal. A solar installation can power your house; a portable power station may struggle to do the same. This one can't, obviously, but has high portability advantage so you don't get stuck on the move. To each, its advantage. |
okeke6969:Depends on the output wattage. For a power bank to charge a random laptop: 1. The laptop needs to have a Type C port since that's readily supported. 2. The power bank should be able to output 45W and above. Older laptop models may require less power but those hardly have Type C charging ports. In summary, use only a power bank only if specified to charge laptops. The power drain on unsupported power banks will damage the batteries in the power bank. |
frankson1:You are the party in charge of Nigerian affairs but is more interested in inter-party gossips than economic affairs. Are you and your ilks normal at all? 🤣🤣 |
Government that despises criticism because they are laden with baggage of weaknesses, corruption, and inefficiencies. They want to control the public perception of their policies so every dissenting voice must be silenced. The easiest excuse is that it could incite instability and weaken national unity; that the oldest (and laziest) excuse in the history of man. But as history has also showed time and again, such governments exist in an echo chamber, where only agreeable opinions exist, leading to bad policies, unchecked mistakes, and an abject lack of innovative ideas. It also serves as a quicker path to a revolution because when people feel unheard, their frustration builds, leading to protests, strikes, riots, and violent uprisings. Let's not forget that End SARS was a product of unheard citizens. |

It was reported by the media who sighted the notice of discontinuance dated January 29th which was filed pursuant to Section 108(1)(2)(a) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015 and which seeks to withdraw the charge pending against Mr Farotimi at the Federal High Court, Ado-Ekiti. The notice, signed by police prosecutor Samson Osubu, stated that the police would request the court to dismiss the charges following the decision of the nominal complainant, Are Afe Babalola, to withdraw the case after the intervention of well-meaning Nigerians. As of the time of this report, both parties have assembled at the Federal High Court in Ado Ekiti, where the prosecution has served the notice to the defense counsel. However, the judge has yet to convene to formally strike out the charges. https://parallelfactsnews.com/police-withdraw-defamation-against-farotimi/

Kingray10:1. It's a singular subject but you used make instead of makes. 2. Living doesn't even sound exactly the same as Leaving but you don't even recognize the difference in meaning and pronunciation. Yet, you think you can call someone a useless idiot. The money spent on sending you to school, is it justified? 🤣🤣 |
Bobodee09:Dear Nairalanders.. I just checked the widely recognized rating for poor policing in the world. There are 195 countries in the world. India is not in the top 100 countries with the worst policing. Don't take my words for it. Look it up yourself: https://ocindex.net/rankings/law_enforcement?f=rankings&order=ASC That claim is what this article started with. The very first paragraph is a blatant white-faced lie. Too sad. |
How APC propaganda machinery would spin it is the reason this country might NEVER progress with them at the helms of affairs. The thing is, you can't give what you don't have. A dog that tasted blood and enjoyed it, will taste it again. Propaganda is how they got in; it is how they hope to survive. It was said that PDP 16-years of misrule brought Nigeria to her knees correct? APC is 10 years gone and counting. 6 years to go and Nigeria is struggling to emerge from the concrete cemetery. |
DrAda:Is America part of the poor and middle income countries? If No, then those poor and middle class countries should fix up. |
Jovi10:On the contrary, I'm a Putin fan as well. He's pro-Russia and his moves says so. So you're talking bollocks. |
Flangelo12:There's nothing Trump does that is good to you either. Allow Americans that flipped their states to vote him in overwheminghly to cry small nah. You are crying more than the bereaved. |
What's a leader's role since they're feeding fat off taxpayers' money? |
Topman7:Nigeria joining BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) could bring several challenges or disadvantages, such as: 1. Economic Pressure Higher Membership Costs: Nigeria may face financial obligations, such as membership fees or contributions to BRICS development initiatives, which could strain its already stretched resources. Trade Imbalances: Nigeria’s economy is heavily reliant on oil exports, and joining BRICS might expose it to competition from more diversified economies like India and China, potentially widening its trade deficit. 2. Geopolitical Alignments Western Relations: As a traditional ally of Western powers, Nigeria might face diplomatic challenges or reduced aid from countries like the US and EU, who could view its alignment with BRICS skeptically. Neutrality Concerns: Aligning with BRICS could limit Nigeria’s ability to maintain neutrality in international disputes involving BRICS members. 3. Domestic Economic Challenges Economic Inequality: BRICS’ emphasis on global infrastructure and trade might not directly address Nigeria's pressing domestic issues, such as poverty, unemployment, and inadequate infrastructure. Weak Industrial Base: Nigeria’s underdeveloped industrial and manufacturing sectors could struggle to compete with advanced economies like China and India within the BRICS framework. 4. Political Risks Governance and Corruption: BRICS members often demand structural reforms and accountability. Nigeria’s persistent governance and corruption issues could hinder its ability to fully benefit from membership. Dominance by Larger Economies: Nigeria may lack significant influence in BRICS, as the bloc is often dominated by major powers like China and India. 5. Institutional and Strategic Challenges Policy Misalignment: Nigeria’s economic and political policies might not align with BRICS’ broader goals, potentially leading to friction in decision-making. Resource Drain: Participation in BRICS may divert attention and resources away from regional African initiatives, such as the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). 6. Cultural and Economic Differences Integration Challenges: Nigeria’s unique economic and social challenges might not align with the experiences or priorities of other BRICS members, limiting its ability to derive mutual benefits. 7. Dependence on Foreign Economies: Membership could deepen Nigeria’s reliance on stronger economies like China for loans and investments, increasing its debt burden. While joining BRICS could offer Nigeria opportunities for investment, trade, and global influence, careful analysis of these potential disadvantages is crucial to ensure membership aligns with national interests. EmperorCaesar:Billions of Naira worth of tech that court will throw away because it is not captured by 1999 constitution, is that one tech? Clowning. |
I think the Telcos should handle their shit! We don't get such huge favours as subscribers, so why should we be bothered when you cherry-pick who to hand the keys to your profit vault? |
Thunder strikes the same place five times. He is not the first and won't be the last. A sitting governor has been a victim, what more, a 'not-yet-seated' governor? 🌚 |
It's so bad. There is no manners of identification Nigerians don't have littered everywhere you do something official. Yet, incidents like these go unabated after budgeting this billions and that billions for one enrollment or the other. It's a pity. |
