A Nigerian, Ayodeji Kayode, took to X, to share his experience voting in Canada. In the early hours of yesterday, 28th of February, he said: "I voted today for the first time in Canada and it was smooth and easy process. No one said Igbo’s nor any person of any colour nor tribe cannot vote here." Having lived in Canada for five years now, Kayode always shared the acceptance amongst the people, devoid of disenfranchisement, racial or tribal bigotry. Other Nigerians also shared their voting experience abroad. https://x.com/ayokay13/status/1895254544847712359?t=759eujbQdOjeTH6W45wXjg&s=19

icetyj37k:This sounds like what Salewa97 and those army of bots would post. 😌 |
Akpabio is not even the best his family has to offer. |
Local man is a comrade 😂 |

Some Nairaland self-acclaimed political wizards were talking nonsense about a Trump-led US worsening the Ukraine-Russia situation because Trump is a war monger. I hope they are choking heavily on those USAID-pies now. Trump and Putin always had mutual respect for one another. This war will die a natural death with time as should be. |
How some people go use say he dey lie now, when dem already use their mouth talk say Buhari nah disaster |
Sirianese:Abia Total = 256,500 Abiola Percentage = (105273/256500) × 100 = 41.04% (Over 40% votes) Enugu Total = 547,151 Abiola Percentage= (263101/547151) × 100 = 48.09% (Over 40% votes) So, nope. I'm not a goddamn liar. Your Math skills is just bad. 🤷🏾♂️ |
flokii:As the propaganda of Igbo civil war has collapsed like a pack of cards, they're cooking another one from the decrepit abyss of their social media. Repent, O ye mortal! |
Sirianese:Nope. Your Math knowledge is letting you down. There was no state in the South East that Abiola did not record over 40%. That's above a pass mark, and that is despite Igbos having a representative in the rival party. For context, his party recorded less than 40% in some Nothern states, but we never hear a whisper about rejection from that axis. Weird isn't it?

The Chairman of the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC), Hashim Abioye, announced this on Saturday. The Chairman of the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC), Hashim Abioye, announced this at a press conference on Saturday. The commission defied warnings by the police and the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Lateef Fagbemi, to hold the poll. The exercise commenced in some local governments as early as 8am on Saturday in all the 30 local councils in the South-West state including in the Ede North LGA where Governor Ademola Adeleke cast his vote. The governor, after the civic responsibility, described the exercise as peaceful. “The process has been very peaceful, I made a broadcast to my good people of Osun State that this election should be peaceful, there should be no violence because Osun State is a very peaceful state,” he said. Earlier, the state electoral commission boss accused the police of sealing the commission’s headquarters in Osogbo, the state capital, and arresting some personnel. Abioye, however, said the commission moved to an undisclosed location to carry out its constitutional duty. The police had on Friday cautioned against the poll citing security threats. The police had said it received credible intelligence indicating a likelihood of violence. The police warning followed the stance of the AGF who asked the governor of the state to put the local government election on hold. According to the justice minister on Friday, the Court of Appeal, Akure division, on February 10, 2025, nullified the judgement of the Federal High Court, Osogbo, delivered on November 25, 2022. The AGF said the verdict of the appellate court implied that the All Progressives Congress (APC) local council chairmen formerly sacked by the lower court have been restored. At least six persons have been confirmed dead since Monday, when APC and PDP members clashed in Osun State over the control of local government councils. Before the clash, the governor raised the alarm on Sunday that APC members backed by security agencies want to hijack the council secretariats in the state. The governor, who belongs to the PDP, had also asked President Bola Tinubu to caution one of his ministers, Gboyega Oyetola of the APC, over the impending clash but such measure appeared not to have been put in place. https://www.channelstv.com/2025/02/22/breaking-pdp-sweeps-all-30-lgas-in-osun-council-poll/

The kind of heart it would take to end 3 lives, two of whom are yet to be given a chance, for a fleeting moment of pleasure. He will look for peace and will not find it. Take a moment to appreciate Harry of X. The dude singlehandedly dismantled a stereotype against his kinsmen that was allowed to go on for too long. |
Zulum criticized this administration and we started seeing dirt on Zulum from a particular set of people. IBB released a boom that was basically reinforcing what those who had front seat in the coup and we are seeing dirt on IBB from the same persons. Nollywood is a thriving industry. Grab your popcorn, guys. |
zero8zero:Any idea how many comments you've made on this topic since IBB released his book? Obsession is a mental disorder, incase you don't know. Don't make this about IBB who you had no issues with until he confirmed what had been in the public space. It is also not about Ademoyega, a 1966 coup plotters either. But the truth is like an eternal lamp. It lives longer than those determined to hide it. |
djon78:Gbam! Their sources of information is laughable😂 They will just post a snapshot of Reno Omokri as a rebuttal. What a sick joke. |
zero8zero:You and your circle have clearly been rattled since IBB released this memoir. Here is one of your corner pieces taking apart the tribal bigotry on which APC foundation was laid. Take heart; the truth had never stayed hidden forever anywhere in this world. 😂😂 |
PressMyButton:Both you and IPOB are in the same boat. Here you are, gladly lapping up the juices off Chidi Odinkalu's butt. 😂😂 What collective hate for the Igbo tribe cannot do does not exist. FYI, Chidi always had the opinion that the coup was never an Igbo coup. You may be careful before pitching your tent with him 😂 Don't sacrifice Abiola's election win on the altar of Igbo hate. |
Putindbutt:I would like you to rephrase it to say that "we voted massively for Tofa" in all honesty. That should rhyme more with the rejection you so parade. Can you make that claim please? |
Story story. Once it is Easter, August, or December, the revenue unit of the NPF will deploy more tax collectors to the various branch offices across Ala Igbo highway, to stock up on depleting revenue piles. |
Sirheny007:God bless you. I have seen a sponsored campaign against the person of IBB that emanated from their social media group. Instead of countering his submission with facts, they are just interested in calling him a liar. The little problem is, how can they call him a liar without actually calling him a liar 😌 |
According to history as we know it: 1. 1966 coup was aimed at freeing Obafemi Awolowo to take the reins as Nigerian Number 1 citizen. This had been mentioned by several others including one of the coup plotters before IBB. 2. Ojukwu drummed up support for Brigadier Babafemi Ogundipe as Head of State against Yakubu Gowon. 3. INEC Chairman, Humphrey Nwosu stood his ground and declared M.K.O. Abiola as the rightful winner of the 1993 elections. An interesting book IBB released at the twilight of his life. Is it convenient or mere coincidence that History lost its place in Nigeria? Read on.

Barracks named after Major John Obienu, the Igbo man who crushed 1966 coup. For some reason, his name is rarely mentioned in today's narrative of 1966 coup. The reason? Best known to legacy media.

Omenlon:Enough to matter. How much do you pay as tax? 🤷🏾♂️ You must think everyone of us are asking for accountability because of opposition. Dude, we put our mouth where our money is. |
zero8zero:FYI, this era began in 1500, since you've decided to be rigid in your thinking. Which country had achieved 24/7 electricity in the year 1500? Yeah.. That's how myopic your understanding of the use of era there means. Deliberately misunderstanding facts to convince governments to invest in an alternative to USAID propaganda funding 😐 |
What do they mean by unveiling? 😂😂 Anyone plying that route knows that's a project that has been funded for over 15 years. So, what total did they pay? 🤷🏾♂️ zero8zero:Then you went ahead to post to post a picture from 24 years ago. You see now that you have too much sense? 😐
|
Critical question. It is the reason I sometimes cut a slack for the average citizen who choose to worship the scums in the murky water of politics. It's not like they have too much of an option with the odds stacked against them. In the end, they all seem right but at what cost? 🤔 |
Onewazobia:You and sense are parallel lines. |
Zazuu.. Okotua.. You wey position boxers for front of Awolowo nose dey wave broom because you dey campaign, think say you go go Scot free? 😂😂
|
kokoA:While I was schooling at Anambra State University, the only place we get the standard of books we use in the University is at that market. Anyone who schools in Anambra can confirm that. Even if you eventually place an order for it in and around the school, it arrives there from the market. The alternative now would be Awka or Asaba, which is a further two hours (give or take) distance from Onitsha. Now, education is also impacted by the closure. Add building materials and the extra cost of transportation, e.t.c. This is no different from punishing an entire class, despite having a list of noisemakers. Cheaper way of escaping responsibility. |
