Heartbreak to her parents. |
Hmm.. OP.. Seriously, I wanted to take it as a joke, but I guess I feel the seriousness of your post. I'm a supporter of Jonathan over Buhari but majority of the people want a change. Rigging this election by President Jonathan would be a very bad move. |
Their efforts will be heavily appreciated..from a behavioural point of view. However, as a matter of fact, this exercise is useless. The foundations for these electoral violence have been put in place, dating back to Buhari's caustic trouble-brewing comments after the 2011 perfect elections, the Boko Haram sudden re-appearance after the Northener lost and now, President Jonathan's virtual underperformance. My Take? They should just let us be. Jonathan should probably prepare to depart. The people are heavily aggrieved and sentimental to take cognizance of any positive impact he may have had so far and up his sleeves.. Buhari should probably prepare to end up like his predecessors, dead or ousted. Hopefully, Osibanjo will succeed him in time, rebel against his Godfathers and take Nigeria to the next level. A man that waits till he's Number 1 citizen before he sacrifices for his country is not a worthy citizen. Happy Valentine's Day. ![]() |
Useless League. Only three clubs exist in the La Liga as far as I'm concerned. Real Madrid, Barcelona and Others. |
The more these press release comes out, the more I tend to see OBJ as a man who never means well for this country. All I see now is a man probably irked by his failed third term bid and his failed attempt to utilize the sitting president as a puppet, trying hard to remain relevant with these quite indescribable comments. I think he should give way for the 'current' aspirants. He has outlived his usefulness. It's quite a shame that in spite of GEJ's laudable attempt to put godfatherism in the past, these top aspirants had to re-introduce it again. |
I decided to comment on this because its existence baffles me to infinity. I've been hearing all about this until the first time I had this experience in Lagos, sometime in 1998. I was on my way back from school when I stumbled upon the road leading to the estate my family lives in, blocked by a huge crowd. I soon noticed that there was heavy fighting between the notorious students of Ajangbadi High School and Model College, I think. The things I saw that day dumbfounded me beyond recognition. You'll see shirts suspended in air, weapons coming out from crazy things like shirts and handkerchiefs, which could never conceal such weapons inside itself. The height of it all that still confuses me till today was when a student of Ajangbadi was being pursued by a student from Model wielding a cutlass. The Ajangbadi student ran towards the crowd where we were standing and suddenly, he disappeared. None of those UFO sounds we usually hear in Nigerian movies before a person disappears, no flash of light nothing at all. It was like you were suddenly put in another world where everything is the same, but the running boy wasn't there. Either that or something is really really wrong with your head. Till today, I still can't explain it. Just that someone you saw wasn't seen by you..something like that. The crowd took to their heels, including myself, thank God, I wasn't trampled. The second incident happened at a party in Igbo-elerin, Okokomaiko. Two guys had an issue and one ultimately slapped the other with a 'ring' (I didn't see this ring). The next thing was this guy who was slapped bolted out of the place at a tremendous speed. I personally thought he was going for a weapon but he continued straight down and turned right into another street, not breaking speed. I assumed he was going for reinforcement, so I and my friends took our leave. Word out on the street is that a charm called 'Sare lo' was used to make him run forever and the dude was found at Agboroko, a distant place from Igbo-elerin, which was where the charm wore off and he collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. His parents were summoned and so ended that episode. The last of them happened yesterday. As I passed Jakande, I noticed unrest but didn't stop to observe it. Suddenly, the two factions, comprising roughly sixty boys began to fight themselves. I quickened my step to escape the ruckus. Later, I heard a shout and the place quietened. Turning back, I saw one boy on the ground being shook and grabbed up by others. He was lifted onto their shoulders and rushed towards my direction so I had to rush ahead to hit home before they get near. When I saw them entering the house of a traditional healer, I knew it definitely had to do with a charm. I saw the collapsed boy sitting down while some powder dissolved in liquid was being poured from a bucket on his legs. After a while, he got up on his own and they went home. It turned out that his opponent had used a charm on him which in essence, nullified his legs and he couldn't use them anymore. The medicine woman had told him that he was lucky he was brought here on time. I decided to share this after talking to some guys who were agitating this morning to beat up one small boy who insulted their elder brother. The boy happened to come from the street where that fight yesterday took place. I told them 'If a fowl chases you in the morning, better run. It may have grown teeth overnight.' Be careful of every provocation. It's not everyone who have identical mindset with you. |

I guess it's all about it being a man's world. The funniest comedians are usually very razz and talk quite carelessly to make people laugh. But females with this attribute are usually frowned at. |
Are we talking Judge Ddred here? ![]() |
You have a point there, but equally deadly to our 'tradition' is every aspect of technology. The world is changing and the worst we can do is to cling to the hopelessly distant past. It would only drive our wards far away from us once they discover the 'reality'. What we should do? Play our part by instilling family values and advice to them as much as they need them and still, let them learn on their own. They may never forgive you for putting them behind the world |
You read at home or school, the purpose is still the same. What really matters is the reason behind your choice. |
Love always have a reason for happening. |
Apologize. |
sincerenigerian:People may never understand this. But that is his biggest crime to the Igbomen, fraternizing with outcasts over his own kinsmen. |
R.I.P to the dead. The election isn't more important than the lives of Nigerians. Elections can hold at anytime, postponed or not. But human lives, once gone, cannot be replaced. For this reason, the military must try to contain this BH issues before elections. We don't want such scenarios in our polling stations. And the people must put safety first. No political position is worth the blood of any citizen. |
ayukdaboss:I believe you're one of those who also believes everything you hear from PDP comes from the mouth of the President. Yesterday, he said to tell you that whatever you didn't hear from him, don't hold him responsible, for the supporters go extreme without his endorsement. So, can you give an example of the president's speech in the act 'mudslinging'? |

The lady seems to favour GEJ though.. The End! |
sirconfidence1:Why bother putting the biased entity aright? He'll always be skewed to the left. |
Lol.. Pledges.. So church package dey happen for PDP funding ni?? Not that the cash isn't there sha.. But continue. |
Nice one, Mr President. Addressing oppositions 'mud-slinging' isn't the right path to tread. Decent parry. |
Lol.. The president thinks many people believes he means well for this country?? He must have never encountered Nairaland e-goats. ![]() |
Can't believe the idiots who have been making a fuss with that 'Stealing is not corruption' quote didn't even have an idea of the origin or implications. May the Lord multiply your punishment by the number of people you've mislead including myself and the defamation you've given to the authorities. Amen. |
Your legacy in the 2011 elections will never be forgotten. Ensure that this particular one gets better. Never knew elections had once been rescheduled before though. |
He said the plain truth. A person called a 'corrupt' man gets away with his crimes more easily compared to a 'thief' in the orthodox Nigerian mentality. Too bad. |
Can't believe some idiots really believed he meant 'Stealing is not corruption' in the ordinary sense. How could he had made such statement? It would take a low class mammal to believe such absurdity. The human whose post appeared above was one of those who made a cloth out of that statement. |
Onward Ever. Forward Ever. Go Nigerian Army, Go! |
People seeking headline by all means since 950AD. ![]() |
What else were you expecting? |
Never believed it. But noticed for a while now that when I'm about to begin eating in my dream, the dream ends sha. |
Hmmm.. See package. More grease to their elbows. Never mind those ungrateful bastards hiding behind keypads to criticize governmental efforts while good people are getting gunned down while fighting for our cause. |
