isale_gan2: Things aren't nearly as polarised in real life as they appear on Nairaland. In this realm, it is unfortunate the way debates degenerate quickly into tribal bashing and the groups seem to get further and further apart. Though I don't think most of it is because they're getting paid to do so.

I'd personally like to see the African man and woman see other Africans as family/blood regardless of tribe or ethnicity.

He will be so disgusted, enough to have the clothes ripped off such an usurper! That is why the Yorubas NEVER have only ONE way of doing something and ALL believe in the same thing, like Ibos! In the days of the old Oyo Empire of the Yorubas, when a leader (King) fell out of favour with the people or is rejected, he will abdicate the throne and most certainly had to take his own life! Leadership is a BIG deal to us, and the people don't take it with a simple mind. This is very much unlike ibos who only need to keep shouting Hausa and Yoruba in response to all their problems so that the ibos will blame somebody else for their problems and not their leaders!

In as much as I support your posterior on Jonathan's government, I do not support the idea that we must co-exist to have a stronger nation. The de-similarities that exist between the different cultures In Nigeria was not planted by the west. We have never been the same and much as I agree that the west is the fundamental architect of this backwardness we face, our differences makes it all too difficult to remove ourselves from the shackles of western neo colonialism.

The west knew that we were too different yet lumped us together so that it can benefit from our discord. Why not break the yolk that binds us and let those who are homogenous stick together? Let ijaw determine it's own destiny even though it will be stupendously rich and not be able to mAnage its own wealth. But it is not for us to determine how they should live their lives. Let everyone go their separate ways so that we can break the stronghold and each country focus on its own development.
