Nigeria has been more disastrous to the Yorubas.
We were very unfortunate to be lumped up with the other ethnic groups which in my opinion, we are ahead of in all ramifications. |

Where in that nonsensical write up does it say that Fashola has been disqualified? More so who is this faceless and nameless APC member that made the fabricated comment? Even if this were true, do you think APC would be so stup1d to show you dunderheads it's hand in this game?
APC is testing the acceptability of a Muslim-Muslim ticket in the southwest and from all indications, the Yoruba people careless even if it's Mohammed/Mohammed so APC knows the winning formula. Ibos' view on this matter does not count because we are not counting on your support! |

This is how he goes around banning everyone with impunity who tells him the truth about using nairaland to promote partisan politics and propaganda against APC Oh yes, that is how Seun operates and I can attest to that being his regular scape goat. |

Politics › Re: Buhari/Fashola Ticket Will Be Reminiscent Of MKO/Kingibe (SDP;1993) by Desola(f): 5:56pm On Nov 30, 2014 |
LRNZH: I saw that coming but it is the major disadvantage anyone will quote for a Buhari/Fashola ticket and that can be largely dispelled based on how they market the ticket. It is a lot better than if the major issue is 'they are corrupt or incompetent' etc. Me also thinks that Nigeria has never been more polarised along sectarian lines than this period. Who do we blame for this?
Let us speculate a bit though
Buhari - Pres Fashola - VP Amaechi - Campaign Director (and Senate President if APC wins) Oshiomole, Oby Ezekwesili, Rochas, El Rufai, Tambuwal, Fayemi, Sylva, Kwankwaso etc- integral part of campaign team and Gov't if APC wins Tinubu, OBJ etc - Campaign supporters and elders
This is not an Islamic combination if Buhari's team can market the strength of his team (not just mentioning Fashola but other integral members), share a comprehensive development plan for Nigeria, campaign intensively everywhere in the country and energise the base early enough. Me thinks APC is slow in trying to achieve this though. I concur. |

After being dealt with by OAU students, he is now thinking of how best to appease the students of his state so he can put them under his armpit.
Unfortunately for you thug Fosise, we are on to your gimmick!
Reducing fees also equates to low quality education and only intelligent students can rise up against tyrany.

Titilayodeji13: www.premiumtimesng.com/news/more-news/172130-oau-visit-afenifere-berates-jonathan.html
The Afenifere Renewal Group, ARG, has said President Jonathan’s attempt to woo Yoruba nation for the support of his re- election is already too late in the day. The group, in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Kunle Famoriyo, described the “Yoruba Progress Summit” which held last Friday as an afterthought and a futile effort to sneak the President into Yoruba land through the backdoor. “For the past five years under his administration, Yoruba people have been deliberately marginalized and skewed out of national reckoning, especially in terms of key appointments and opportunity to partake in key sectors of the economy,” the statement said. “We are surprised that President Jonathan believes the position of the Speaker, over which he has no control, is enough to atone for the deliberate marginalization in key appointments, over which he has control.” “In any case, we do not need a ‘Progress Summit’ in Yoruba land. We already have a progressive culture based on democratic and egalitarian values. What Yoruba nation needs is how to be delivered from the retrogressive forces imposed on us by the Nigerian state. The Yoruba nation was well ahead in terms of development until the forced union called Nigeria began to steal our institutions from us. Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), being one of the stolen institutions, is good only to address the need to restructure Nigeria, not for an effort to sustain the status quo” The group said nothing will please Yoruba nation other than a return to regional government through maximum devolution of powers and a return to parliamentary democracy because “we reckon this is the best form of public governance that gives us the opportunity to develop at our own pace and contribute our quota to Nigeria’s development.” According to the group, everything that happened at summit is a fool’s paradise as already proven by the students of OAU. “Those Yoruba persons parading themselves as leaders of Yoruba people know that leadership in Yoruba land resides in treasured virtues of Omoluabi and Afenifere philosophy, not necessarily in persons. Yoruba people know their leaders.” “We dare say that more than any so called leader at that event, those students, who braved all the odds to tell Mr. President the truth, are the true leaders, irrespective of their ethnic origin.” “ARG therefore salutes the courage of those students who spoke truth in face of oppression and we enjoin every Nigerian to replicate their courageous act.” Now we're talking! |

Na Sango and Oya join together go strike down anyone who contacts me with such proposal - be you APC or PDP!!
This is why I keep telling the Nigerian youths to come into awareness of their power to carve their destinies. To know that if Nigeria must be good, it is up to them. Say no to partisanship and say yes to progress. Think of the Nigeria of your children; how you want it to be. Stop being a pun in the hands of these glutinous polithiefcians and let them know that you hold the key.

iykololo: U don't play politics by INSULT. You must learn to use ur words.Respect the office of the president, show to us that u are a good nigerian. Don't take a queue from some politicians and their supporters who ve chosen to thread insults as campaign strategies. Atleast show some respect to ur elders, this is africa. Do u speak like this about ur parents to the faces or in their absence? SMH! Some nigerians ve got to learn manners afresh, they ve so lost it. Social media has given nigerians the platform to say anytn they will ordinarily not say in public or to the faces of ppl they make reference to. Grow up. You are labouring under mental retardation. I stopped short of swearing at the baboon residing in a residential villa. If you tempt me I go give your parents their Xmas present too. Nonsense! |

Abeg use your head! Which northern or South Western aspirant will waste his/her time bribing a people who have sold its soul to Jonathan? That will be sheer waste of funds! Of course we know the length SaTANS will go to discredit the only threat to their looting gambier. PDP will dig lower than the sewers to concot lies after all they do not want the gravy boat snatched from them. emmasege: He's just finished Democracy 101 if he truly offered the "bribe" & he must be prepared to do worse/more corrupt things in days to come if he truly wants to be president. Politicians all over d world lobby and when necessary with inducements. They're also known not to be too rigid in their belief. I think his corrupt cronies like el rufai & tinubu are already doing the work of soul conversion on d General. I hope it's not belated though. |
